Many funds have a rule against buying any stock under $5.

I say carve-out over buyout but certainly some kind of significant reorganization.

“Foretellix provides the Verification & Validation (V&V) software platform for ADAS. Their tools are used to test, simulate, and hyper-validate ADAS systems (like Aptiv's) to ensure they are safe before deploying them to the real world.”

Nothing strange about it. Smart Long money entering as uninformed, scared money exits. Same as it has always been, IMO.
Not investment advice, not psychological advice.

A reverse split is a path though? I mean he was simply asked if he was worried about delisting, but if you can get the price over $1 via reverse split then there is no delisting to worry about. It's a path. Many here assumed he meant the path is one tied to organic increase in price, but he never said that.

I have been a heavy user of em dashes for decades now. I guess that makes me one of the earliest AIs!
I did find that statement about creating value to be very funny, though, since that is never something MVIS has been able to do in all these years, so it make no sense.

my apologies it’s 1:15. Doesn’t change my argument, I just got it backwards.

They have done 0 worthy of praise. They have set capital on fire for 30 years. Yeah id want to run from the mob with pitchforks too.

We have charts, y'know, and they don't show $1.50 in the last month.

"Shareholder value will continue to be created the same way it always has been—winning customers, delivering products, growing revenue, expanding margins, and executing consistently." We are screwed.

That's not why. If the price had not collapsed, I still wouldn't have dry powder (I'm not much of a swing trader). I would have more shares, and they'd be worth more. I don't have dry powder because I didn't have a second source of income until recently. All NOYB, btw.

Why does it have to be a rabbit pulled out of his hat? Why not just consistently execute quarter by quarter going forward?

I agree that posts like that with no context are problematic. They encourage dot-connecting and speculation. Of course, based on the nature of stock subreddits like this, most of that speculation will spin the news in the most favorable way possible for microvision.
Some prominent longs frequently posit connections with certainty that they can't justify or, even worse, in vague terms with prophetic language. Anyone reading these comments needs to weigh them against the actual record of these posters. How many of the connections they have hypothesized or microvision prophecies they have invented have actually borne fruit?

I can see a scenario where the company has news dropping soon and wanted to get the bad news out of the way first. Many in here complain when the company kills the momentum. I agree if the sp was 3-5 with news, then they could have chosen the 1:5 vs 1:15, but talk about killing the momentum and starting the rumours of “no more deals coming or why the RS.” The RS was always coming mostly to maximize that 150 million shelf. It is a damned if you do situation and I am happy it is done. If they have no deals coming soon we are all screwed anyway.

You’re out of powder because they’ve taken (stolen) your money under false pretenses.

I think all of the algos of MVIS were told to take a break today. Do not dilute upstairs in the CFO's chair and HTC, take a break so we don't look so pathetic for a day. It could have been worse but it does take a special talent to process 29 million and not go anywhere. Maybe there is a fairy godmother trying to keep up with the sells...
