Your Best Application For Control the Monitor: MSI Productivity Intelligence & MSI M-Mate APP

For Windows:

With the MSI Productivity Intelligence, you can seamlessly fine-tune various monitor settings—including brightness, display modes, and contrast—directly through software. Controlling these parameters via your mouse offers a far more intuitive and convenient experience than fumbling with physical OSD buttons.

For MacOS:

Specifically designed for macOS users, MSI offers the MSI M-Mate APP, which enables comprehensive control of monitor settings directly within macOS. Furthermore, the exclusive M-Sync feature ensures seamless synchronization between the monitor and your Mac's system parameters. Critical adjustments like brightness and volume are automatically linked, allowing you to transition your preferred settings to the MSI PRO MAX Monitor in a completely frictionless and intuitive manner.

Prevent From Burn-in: MSI AI Care Sensor

PRO MAX 271UPXW12 and MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 equipped with MSI AI Care Sensor, further decreasing the risk of OLED burn-in. By detecting the user's presence, the MSI AI Care Sensor automatically powers the screen on or off, minimizing the risk of image retention caused by static icons when you step away. The moment your gaze returns to the screen, the brightness instantly restores to its original setting.

News MSI MAG OLED 271QPX32 Unveiled: The World’s First 27” WQHD 5-Layer QD-OLED Penta Tandem™ Gaming Monitor Powered by Samsung Display’s QD-OLED Technology

The new MAG OLED 271QPX32 monitor will make its debut at Computex 2026. This 26.5-inch display features a 4th-gen QD-OLED panel equipped with Penta Tandem™ technology, a 5-layer emitting structure. It delivers 2560x1440 (WQHD) resolution, 320Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms (GtG) response time, and DarkArmor Film technology.

Breaking through the technical bottlenecks of existing OLED panels, the MAG OLED 271QPX32 leverages three major QD-OLED advantages to offer users an outstanding visual experience:

1. Full QD-OLED Lineup Receives QuantumView™ Verification: Consistent Image Quality from Any Angle

The MAG OLED 271QPX32 and all MSI QD-OLED monitors have received QuantumView™ verification from UL Solutions. At a 60-degree viewing angle, it maintains an impressive 83%* luminance retention (compared to just 44% for conventional OLEDs) with exceptionally low color shift. This ensures the picture remains sharp and color-accurate, no matter where users view the screen from.

^(\Source: Official Samsung Display data.)*

2. Say Goodbye to Black Crush: Master Shadow Details

Existing OLED panels often suffer from gamma shifts when switching refresh rates or enabling Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), leading to a loss of shadow detail known as "black crush." QD-OLED monitors overcome this issue. The MAG OLED 271QPX32 features superior low-gray processing capabilities, maintaining consistent gamma performance at any refresh rate to deliver perfect deep blacks and shadow details.

3. Perfect Panel Uniformity: Eliminating Visual Distractions

The entire QD-OLED lineup provides a fundamental solution to the gray banding and screen uniformity issues that have long plagued conventional OLED panels. The MAG OLED 271QPX32 completely eliminates banding interference, delivering a clean, flawless picture.

Beyond panel innovations, the MAG OLED 271QPX32 is the first MSI 26.5-inch WQHD QD-OLED monitor to incorporate MSI's DarkArmor Film technology, which improves pure black levels by 40% and upgrades the screen's surface hardness from 2H to 3H, offering 2.5 times better scratch resistance. This monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 and VESA ClearMR™ 15000 certified. Additionally, it supports MSI's exclusive Uniform Luminance feature, allowing users to customize their HDR curve. For burn-in protection, the model comes with the MSI OLED Care 2.0 comprehensive protection mechanism, effectively reducing burn-in risks and extending the monitor's lifespan. Connectivity options include two HDMI™ 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a, and one USB Type-C (DP Alt.) with 15W power delivery.

Troubleshooting Tip if your USB 4.0 ports disappear

Posting for posterity. All of a sudden the two rear USB 4.0 ports on my MSI X870E Tomahawk stopped working. Charging worked fine, but no connection with any device, e.g. my SSD. Dunno what caused it - maybe MSI Center... After X reboots and troubleshooting I found out that ASMedia PCI Upstream Port was disabled - I re-enabled and voila - all works well.

Not sure what happened, but hopefully useful for others.

[Edit: Yep, it's MSI Center - it apparently tries to check F/W version and fails, which disables the ASMedia PCI Upstream Port]

Troubleshooting Msi Nightblade MIB motherboard cmos battery question.

Upvotes

Hello there!
I own one of these system and the cmos battery died. Confirmed with the multimeter it’s at like 1.4v. Instead of 3. I’ve bought a replacement but the system is still treating it like it’s a dead CMOs. The bios resets and time stops counting forward every time I unplug the computer.

The battery was plugged into the JBAT1 port.

I am curious what this JCO1 port at the bottom is for. It’s the exact same plug. I can’t find anything online about this motherboard and the system manual doesn’t even address what should be done in a cmos battery replacement. Anyone have any ideas what the JCO1 port could be?

Troubleshooting No partitions and PC can't run Windows suddenly?

Upvotes

I made a previous post on this sub regarding a sudden issue with my PC not being able to boot, is almost completely agreed that it was either a CMOS issue or a drive issue, after quickly resolving that it was not a CMOS fix, I went and formatted a recovery flash drive and plugged it into repair my pc. After it wasn't responding, I did some digging and found that there are zero traces of Windows in any of my storage devices, I was able to prove that on both my SSD and hard drive all my games and files are still present, but no trace of windows. Both of my drives listed are healthy but read something like 476 gb whereas the drive is a factory 512, which makes me think that the boot/ windows files are corrupt, and gone. Meaning they cannot be found and repaired via the hard drive. So my next best option was to reinstall Windows, but upon clicking that it reads that my device cannot run Windows. Even though I was literally running Windows prior to this whole incident, that however was with the "other version" menu. When I click install Windows on the main menu that it gives me, it forces me to agree to delete all files and data, which I'd like to avoid if possible.

I don't know why I can't choose to install it on one of the two devices, preferably the one that has less of my valuable keepsake data.

Troubleshooting Need help with MSI Center

Hi everyone,

Having just received a brand new keyboard (MSI FORGE GK600 TKL), I downloaded the installer for MSI Center because I'd like to control the lights on the keyboard.

The thing is MSI Center, after install, closes immediately after I launch it. I don't even have time to accept the privacy conditions, the thing closes automatically.

I tried reparing, resetting and reinstalling the app, but even that didn't fix the issue.

I'm now seeking for help regarding this problem.

Thank you all.

Troubleshooting MSI 321 URX OLED monitor loses signal for a second and then reconnects after firmware update

Hey guys,

Is anyone having this problem? Ever since the last firmware update (FW.021), the monitor loses signal and immediatly reconnects 1/2 times a day.
I've searched everywhere but never found the solution. It's been a while any update has come out, is this a bug? I didn't change anything and it clearly started to happen after the last update.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Troubleshooting What power adapter does MSI MAG 244F use?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Can somebody help me find a replacement power adapter for MSI MAG 244F? Specifically, I would like to know what’s the size of the connector it uses, 5.5x2.5 or 5.5x2.1. I tried to search online, but there’s no mention of the connector size anywhere on MSI’s site or in the manual. I can’t get an exact replacement cable locally, so I need to buy a generic one instead. I’ve confirmed the correct voltage and wattage (12V, 36W), but MSI doesn’t specify whether the connector is 5.5x2.5mm or 5.5x2.1mm.

Troubleshooting Would a 2016 board (MSI B150 GAMING M3) boot OS from NVME via PCIE adapter?

A bit of a long shot, but maybe I'll find a madlad who has tried it with this board or its contemporaries.

I've got a 2016 PC with MSI B150 GAMING M3 board, which I understand is the last gen that came without NVME drive slots. I wonder if it's possible to boot from a drive plugged in through a PCIE adapter, but I couldn't find any posts online from people who have actually tried it (just lots of confusion with SATA M2s not working). The BIOS update notes mention "Improved NVME compatibility", but I don't know if that means they would be selectable as the boot drive.

(I am aware that it's still possible to buy SATA SSDs at this time, but that might no longer be the case in 5 years, which had me wondering if the PC would then be rendered unusable should the existing drives die. I might no longer use it, but I want to keep it around in case of emergencies, since it's still perfectly serviceable for most things.)

Discussion Msi GP66 leopard linux state

Hi everyone,
I recently installed Linux Mint 22.3, and overall everything is working well. However, I’m having a couple of issues:
The SteelSeries keyboard RGB/backlight is completely off.
Some of the function keys work, while others don’t.
I came across **FrostCenter** (https://github.com/gsriram24/FrostCenter), which looks great since it provides features like battery charge limiting and fan profiles similar to MSI Center.
My main question is: **Is there any way to get full keyboard support, including RGB lighting, on Linux?** If it’s not possible on Linux Mint, **is there another Linux distribution that supports MSI laptops (especially the keyboard RGB and function keys) better out of the box?**
I’d appreciate any suggestions or experiences from other MSI laptop users. Thanks!

Troubleshooting Refurbished MSI Vector 17 HX A2XWHG I bought. Need some help with it.

Hello!

So, for the first time, I bought a PC with my own money, and I wanted to go big with a Vector 17 HX. However, it's refurbished. I contacted the company that sold it already, but I'm a bit stubborn, and I want to know what's wrong with it.

The laptop itself looks perfectly fine in the outside, however, when using it plugged, it works fine if I don't use it for gaming (ironically). However, the moment I try to play a game (testing with black ops 6, high/ultra settings), the PC alternates between charging and not charging. And, of course, the laptop begins to blink a lot because it's changing the GPU all the time between integrated and the 5070 ti. I don't understand why. Changed the plug's socket cord, changed MSI Center's settings for battery, and still, nothing. EC reset doesn't seem to do the trick, either. It lasts maybe a bit more than usual, but that's it, no more than 10 minutes.

I have three suspects: Battery, laptop's charging port, and the charger, the biggest suspect being the charging port, although, again, I don't really know.

Has anyone else experienced this? I swear I cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong or what's going on. I've put around 10 hours into troubleshooting in total, but nothing.

Edit 1: I'm using Windows 11 home. I restored the installation, but that did absolutely nothing. Read the drivers could mess up with it, but I don't think that's it.

I was inspecting my msi rtx 4080 super 16g ventus 3x oc, and I notice that one of the corner thermal pad at the end of the cold plate had a tiny airgap with a small cut and not touching. I never replaced the thermal pads. My gpu runs fine as temps are 64c after 2 hours and 74c vram under fully load. But im just curious what component this thermal pad is covering and if this is an acutal issue? Heres a video showing the air gap

Background information: Riot Vanguard has been killing my PC and I need to enable Secure Boot on my MSI laptop, I have tried following multiple forums and guides but nothing works.

Yes UEFI is enabled, and yes I'm in windows 11. I will send as many pictures as possible to try and showcase what is wrong and if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

The secure boot option is greyed out. If I turn on secure boot support then it comes up with the violation error and forces me to turn it off. I tried resetting all the factory keys, and I still cant activate secure boot.

Someone pleeaaasse help!

Troubleshooting Mag B850 Tomahawk - new build. Fans and RGB on, no usb and no display. 9800x3d & g.skill flare x5

EDIT:

Bent pins. It shipped like that, my dumb amateur ass thought it was a pattern lmfao. Submitted for replacement.

————

Hi Y'all.

Put together a new build last night.

MSI Mag B850 Tomahawk Max Wifi
9800x3d
32 GB (2x16) G.Skill Flare x5 6000mhz 36CL

PC turns on, front panel switches and LED works, fans all spin (including GPU which is a 4070ti connected via 12v 2x6)

USB's do not work and no display. CPU and DRAM lights on.

Tried rotating RAM, clear cmos, letting sticks run for 20 - 30m for potential memory training...

I suspect I need to flash and update bios. Is this common/the likely issue?

The first picture is my pc using a display port

Second picture is my ps5 using hdmi

Third picture is with nothing plugged in and just the monitor switched on

Struggling to understand why the ps5 and idle screen has this issue but through display port is completely fine? Am I missing something or should I expect the same to happen to the display port soon? 😅😅
