21M, graduated from a tier 2 college, with average marks cuz i was into sports back then. Didn't get the time to get into internships or anything. I have tried to attempt CAT but couldn't because of the lack of preparation last year.

I've worked at an MNC for 3 months but left since i felt it was not really for me and some other issues.

I'm pretty interested in Operations and Revenue.

Should I consider an MBA at this point? or just hunt jobs. Because I'm sure considering my work ex and ug scores, tier 1 is pretty hard unless I score extraordinarily in CAT.

I am pretty much stressed out because it has already been a year since I've graduated and I've wasted a year in preparing for the CAT.

Any advice on what could be a good start to my career from here?

Before you read this please do not judge me for my past academic record , I still want to turn my life around. I got an internship at a startup which did not get converted due to business requirements. I am a little sick of applying to jobs and want to study masters. I was always passionate about doin an MBA but I want to know if with my profile I would get colleges like ISB or baby IIMs even if i do well in CAT or GMAT. And even if I do get in will getting a placement be a problem.

Myquals are 12th passed this year with 67% commerce with applied maths I got in into lady shri ram eco+ maths ba program this year but my guardian won't let me go to Delhi so I had to take up bcom in a local college nearby but I need a brand name for my ug degree and some value because honestly I don't think bcom is worth it

so I was thinking of dual degree with offline regular bcom and online bba specialization but I'm getting mixed reviews in this I'm genuinely confused.

Should I do and online degree along side regular from (nmims/Amity/manipal) yet decided college or

Should I do bcom only with online certificate courses like from Udemy?

Also I don't want to do certificate courses like ca acca

I'm transitioning from post MBBS to MBA. My main goals are health tech / health management / self business development. I made the decision to appear for GMAT this month after 3 months of prep. However this month due to personal issues , I was not able to focus and study. I prepared online and I've decided to join classes now for better discipline and focus. Should I join extensive CAT classes and appear for GMAT in November 1st week and CAT later on. Or should I join for GMAT classes and focus on it. The classes said for CAT you might have to spend 13-14 hrs rn per day to score high. My math is not bad but obviously it's been a while and I've done GMAT quant but would definitely need practice in many topics

​Lately, I’ve been feeling completely overwhelmed. I honestly can’t tell if I just hate software development, or if it’s corporate culture in general that’s driving me insane. Either way, I know my current trajectory isn't sustainable for me, and I’m evaluating two very different long-term paths:

​Path 1: The MBA Route (Corporate Pivot)

​The Plan: Prep for CAT/GMAT, get an MBA, and move into non-coding roles (e.g., Product Management, Tech Consulting, or General Management) to climb the corporate ladder.

​My Concern: While this gets me away from hands-on coding and opens up better titles, I’m worried about the work-life balance. Does corporate life stay equally toxic/demanding at managerial levels, or is it better once you switch roles?

​Path 2: MTech + PhD (Academia)

​The Plan: Prepare for GATE, do an MTech, and eventually complete a PhD to build a career in academia/teaching.

7/7/6 , Category OBC, 3.5 years of workex (sales intern to executive sales manager now) will be having 4 years of workex by/if I manage to join a good B School next year.
Also I have given CAT 2023 scored a 91 percentile, interviews went bad and I did not know what to expect back then also my dream colleges are BLACKI

I have figured out that I am stuck in my career as an executive sales manager If I want to grow up the ladder I need an MBA in my profile every leadership roles mostly requires so.
So I was looking for some executive MBA 6 months back turns out that IIMs like Kashipur, Nagpur, Mumbai etc have EMBA i.e in blended mode 80% online and 20% offline I did not think much of it initially and I got through EMBA of IIM Kashipur.
I was happy to be honest I thought that I can do an MBA now and I dont have to quit my job either everything was fine
But this weekend we had our first incampus visit we are supposed to have it every 3 months for two days and in the campus I was so happy I interacted with students who are pursuing MBA there I felt that I am missing out on so much the campus life the friends EVERYTHING
In my class there are people 15-20 years elder to me (I feel like I will not end up with good networking as there are only 24 students in my class also the girls in my class they where all having conversations about their in-laws and what not I felt that I dont belong here there was a class right in front of our class where everybody was wearing business suits and everybody was of my age I felt as if I am sitting on the wrong side) I am obviously the youngest in my class I feel that I am 25 right now and I should give CAT 2026 (yes I know 4 months are left but I believe that I can do so much in 4 months as my basics are almost clear and I don’t know i believe i can figure out if I put my will to it)
I talked about this to my father I think if I dont end up giving CAT 2026 I might regret my whole life that I could have done MBA from a prestigious college and I could have experienced a college life.
(I had online graduation due to covid)
My father said that I am 25 now I will be 26 when/if I get in and I will be 28 at the time of graduation and It will be late because marriage at the age of 29 or 30 is late according to my parents.
Anyways I am not thinking about marriage right now after listening to my father I thought I will be 26 when I enter the B school Is it too late to do an MBA from IIM I might be among the eldest in my cohort.
Does this thought bother me? Lil bit.
Okay so why am I writing what is at stake?
My EMBA IIM Kashipur fees is 12L and we have paid 2.5L or so for the first term that will go in vein also I can manage spending 12L without any loan, If I end up in BLQCKI I will have atleast 30L of loan on me and also I will have to leave my job obviously should I go for CAT 2026 or should I do executive MBA only? Is it worth my time and money at 26 having 7/7/6 and an OBC certificate
My father said that “Apne college dekh liya vhapar baccho se bat kari toh apko FOMO ho rha hai jo hathme hai usko age lekar chalo isi mai accha karo” maybe Yes Its FOMO but this is the only time if not this time I will never be able to do this ever again.
Also what value addition will EMBA from IIM Kashipur give me in comparison with a MBA from a new IIM its way lower I believe. (I cant dare to compare EMBA from Kashipur to BLACKI)

My boyfriend is currently doing his online MBA through Symbiosis, and there's a referral program running right now, if you have 2+ years of work experience, you get upto ₹55,000 off your total fees, but only if an existing student refers you. It doesn't work if you apply directly.

When most people start preparing for CAT, they think the hardest part is getting a high percentile.

After talking to a lot of MBA students and alumni, I'm not so sure anymore.

Some things I keep hearing are:

• A 99+ percentile doesn't automatically mean you'll get your dream college.
• Your 10th, 12th, graduation marks and work experience can matter more than you expect.
• The interview process (WAT-PI/GD) is a completely different game.
• The admission cycle can drag on for months and become mentally exhausting.
• Some colleges have amazing placement reports but a very different reality once you're on campus.
• People spend so much time chasing CAT that they forget to build their profile.
