The purpose of this Megathread is to provide a place for the r/lego community to discuss the ongoing Bricks & Minifigs Controversy.

What Happened?

This post is about the ongoing legal dispute between the Bricks & Minifigs company, Bryan Mansell and his family, YouTuber Reckless Ben, and others. See Parts 1-3 for the details.

This is not an exhaustive update. There are hundreds of YouTube videos and perhaps as many creators talking about this story. If your favorite YouTuber, blogger, newscaster or streamer doesn't appear on this list, feel free to share their links in the comments.

Harassment

We have a zero tolerance policy on harassment here at r/lego. Any users promoting the harassment of individuals involved, innocent or guilty, will be banned from the subreddit. This includes identifying anyone's phone number, email address, home or work address, even if that information is otherwise public record. Do not share it here.

Do not accuse anyone in the comments, including r/lego moderators, of working for any parties involved. Those comments will be removed as uncivil under Rule 4. Insults and accusations are not allowed in this community. Due to the overwhelming amount of harassment occurring, we will now be strictly enforcing this rule, including bans if necessary.

Community Interference aka Brigading

A reminder that brigading is not tolerated and results in permanent bans. If you call out for harassment, or coordinate interference of, any other community via r/lego, you will be banned. We are Lego fans, not an angry mob.

A statement from r/lego moderators

We do not support, condone, encourage or approve in any way of scams, theft, harassment or of police misconduct. We are providing a platform for all sides and supporters of this ongoing controversy to have a discussion. Moderators are not directly involved, so comments about moderation will continue to be removed per Rule 1. Send that feedback to modmail instead. We read all modmail!

We are not employees of any of the following organizations: Reddit, The Lego Company, Bricks & Minifigs, The Mormon Church, or any involved police department. We don't accept bribes from any of them (or anyone). We are volunteers moderating this community in our free time. Accusations to the contrary will be removed under Rule 4 and will earn a ban.
