My first wrangler! ‘17 2 door rubicon.
Here’s to the first of (hopefully) many more! This is a used 2017 Wrangler Rubicon 2 door. Has 70,000 on the odometer, if you guys could recommend the Do’s, the Dont’s and just things to watch out for I’d really appreciate it!
I think it sits on some sort of lift, I don’t believe this is stock height. Not sure how much or what kind of lift (if it even is, I could be wrong)
Has a flashing sway bar thing on the dash, from what the dealership said, it’s disconnected due to aftermarket replacement parts..is there any way to clear that light so I don’t have to look at it?

Purchase Questions TJ Soft Door recommendations
So I have a hard top on my 05 TJ, and I was looking for recommendations on soft doors. I guess with the little googling I’ve done, soft full doors that work with a hard top, just to have them on days the weather is bad. I prefer to run the Jeep without doors and it’s not my daily driver. But I’d like to have something when it’s not in the garage, or the off chance it rains, or very off chance in snows where I live.
Thanks

Lift Question
I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 2.5 in lift in the front and a 2 inch lift in the rear. Before I went to the lifted struts I was running spacers on my stock suspension and was wondering if it’d be a bad idea to run the spacers on top of the lifted struts. I also want to know if it would look stupid or squatted and if I would need a front differential drop.
Thanks

Mod Install/Question Howdy! I was hoping for some advice from all you lovely Jeep people :) I know this is going to be controversial but… wheel spacers? Any recommendations? Please read the rest before coming after me lol (also here are some pics of my babies to alleviate any anger this question provokes)
I am fixing a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for an elderly woman I work with. To say money is tight would be an understatement.
Her husband had a stroke about 1.5 years ago when he had just began fixing this Jeep up; it was his mom’s (who has passed), she bought it new off the lot, and his intent was to fix it up and give it to his daughter when she went to Univ. of Wyoming for her masters program.
After he had the stroke, it went to some shop (i genuinely don’t know) and they rebuilt the engine and cooling system… but it was far from complete. It then sat in their dirt driveway for a year or so and now I have it.
I’ve been doing a bunch of smaller stuff for her and I am going to drive it out to WY from CA for them. So far, I’ve done AC compressor, power steering pump, a bunch of electrical, radiator flush, oil change, belts, brakes, heat shield rattle, re-greased suspension parts, blah blah blah
After all this, i noticed a gnarly sound while out on a test drive—at full lock, there is a terrible rubbing sound. The front tires seem to be rubbing on the sway bar. Regardless, I am getting new sway bar bushings. However, the jeep does have larger than stock tires.
I know they cannot afford a new set of tires or wheel or wheel/tires, so spacers seem to be the best option. I was thinking of going 1” to ensure clearance.
The jeep won’t be really offroaded or driven hard… it’s going to be for getting around town and having 4WD in the snow/ice in Laramie, WY.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a solid set of spacers? I want to make sure that anyone who drives it is “safe” and plan on using a metric fuckton of red loctite to hold the spacers on. Further, I like the 1” because at that size, the spacers come with their own wheel studs and it’s not a situation where under/over threading becomes an issue.
Any help is very appreciated!
P.S., yes I’m aware of scrub radius, Ackerman, SAI/KPI, bearing loads, ball joint wear, and bump steer… but this is about an old lady’s wallet on a car used to scoot around town lol

radio randomly stopped working
recently bought a 2000 xj with a dual media player head unit and bose speakers. i drove it for about 3 weeks with bluetooth working fine until just the other day i turned the car off to go into a store and when i came back 5 minutes later, no sound came out of the speakers. i doubt its a loose wire because when i hit bumps there’s no cutting out. the speakers do crackle a bit when there’s a lot of bass. the weirdest thing about it is how it will randomly work. the other day after it didn’t work for like 2 days, i drove to work & it was working fine but when i left 8 hours later it wouldn’t play music. it says it’s connected and my phone shows it’s playing audio but there’s no sound, FM radio does not work either.
anyone else ever have this issue? any advice on pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

Technical Question Please help
I have a 2021 jeep wrangler 2.0 Willy’s edition jeep and the exhaust camshaft sensor went out and then it appears the make up air hose broke but I am trying to see if that’s actually what it is. Also in the second picture I was trying to figure out what this connector is. Thank you in advance.

Purchase Questions Are there issues with Gladiators specifically?
I’m looking at a 2023 with 53k miles and I’ve heard some comments from people saying it’s a bad idea to buy Gladiators. Are there any issues with the Gladiators that make them more prone to issues vs a wrangler?

Technical Question Weird issue with 2023 compass
Twice this week, while at a stop with auto start/stop on, my compass has flashed several error messages (ALM needs service, start/stop needs service, forward collision warning needs service, dynamic steering torque needs service).
That all sounded like battery issues to me, so I took it in (got new batteries about a year ago). The shop told me it was a “computer glitch” and that they installed updates and it should be fine.
Today it happened again, but it all cleared after I turned off the car and restarted it.
Any idea what’s going on? Or any advice for what to tell the shop told make sure the issue actually is found and fixed?

Just another day with a 2017 JK...
Woke up to this little surprise waiting for me as I tried to get to work. About to head down to the auto parts store to grab a replacement sensor for the rear wheel.
EDIT: Not sure why the photo quality is ass, but I uploaded a better pic in the comments.
Anyone have any experience with this repair or tips to share?
Thanks in advance!
