Ordered AMD 7000 Series Ryzen 7 7800X 3D Desktop Processor in amazon during the prime sale.

Looks like they are using some pattern in doing such scam, first order stuck in out for delivery. When contacted amazon support they trigger a new order, which is shipped from Kolkatta. Received the 7800x box but the processor inside is old used Ryzen 5 3500.

Raised to amazon and they told it will take 4 days for investigation. fingers crossed. Will put update on the investigation outcome by Sunday.

Discussion WD Sn7100 , MRP is 12000, i was charged 17390 by vedant computers website

Post image

In the image you can see MRP is 12000, I was charged 17390 rupees for this ssd. Bought it from Vedant computers website. I know that ssd and RAM prices are increasing and they are at all time high but can they charge above MRP ? Isn’t it wrong? Should i go to consumer court? Please look into the issue
[u/vedantcomputers](u/vedantcomputers)
EDIT: I reached out to them on call, they are like: "RETURN KARDO" ( in English : just return it )
I am not asking the SSD for free, I am only asking you to REFUND ME THE DIFFERENCE AMOUNT. That's not fair, you are selling old stocks above MRP prices. Manufacturing date is december 2025.  u/vedantcomputers  This is just scalping behavior. I could have just gone to consumer helpline and you would have to refund me the whole amount instead i am only asking you to refund me the difference amount.

2nd Edit: I have registered a grievance on consumer helpline as this is a simple case, will take them to consumer court if they still don’t refund me the difference amount.

Help Received a damaged motherboard from Vishal Peripherals and being asked to RMA it myself. What should I do?

I recently ordered a Gigabyte B850M Gaming X WiFi 6E motherboard and a Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC from Vishal Peripherals for my new PC build.
I received them, and when I checked the motherboard, I found that one of the RAM slots is physically broken/damaged. I contacted Vishal Peripherals immediately and sent them proof, but they told me that since they’re resellers, I’ll have to get it RMA’d.
I don’t understand why I should have to go through the RMA process myself for something that arrived damaged out of the box. I paid full price for a brand-new motherboard and literally just received it. I’m also a college student, so going around to service centers and dealing with RMA for a brand-new product is a huge hassle.
There was also an issue with the GPU. I specifically confirmed multiple times before ordering that I wanted the BLACK Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC because my entire build is black, but I received the white version.
I contacted them about this too, and to be fair, they told me today to pack the GPU and that they’ll initiate a pickup. They said the black model is currently out of stock, so they’ll either try to arrange one for me or refund me. So hopefully that gets sorted.
My main concern now is the motherboard. Is it normal for the seller to tell me to RMA a motherboard that arrived physically damaged? Shouldn’t they replace a product that was damaged straight out of the box? What should I do?

Discussion Good News for Indian Gamers : More OLED Monitor Options Be Coming Soon

From what I've heard from a trusted source at Gigabyte India, the Gigabyte MO27Q28GR / MO27Q28G OLED is expected to launch in India by the end of Q3 or early Q4. Along with it, several other OLED gaming monitors are also expected to make their way to the Indian market.

I've also heard that Gigabyte is in the process of bringing entry-level OLED monitors, which are expected to be available around Q4.

So if you're currently planning to buy an entry-level OLED monitor (such as the Alienware AW2726DM or Samsung Odyssey G5 OLED), I'd honestly recommend waiting a little longer. With new entry-level OLED monitors on the way, you'll likely have more options, better pricing, and stronger competition across brands.

So wait a lil, my fellow gamers—Gigabyte seems to be gearing up for some serious OLED competition in India. 👀🔥

Help Sent scratchless disc to Gameloot and they’re sending back a scratched disc

So I basically sent the Last of Us Part 1 PS5 version to Gameloot because I have been using it for a long time and had no issues with them but today I received a call from them telling me my disc is in a really bad condition and they’re sending it back. I’ve seen a lot of people faced the same issue here with GameLoot so this could be their scammy business strategy to take out the disc we send and replace it with a scratched disc and send it back to us. Thankfully I’ve made a video of the disc before sending it to them and it shows how the disc is in pristine condition. I’ve sent Gameloot a mail that if they don’t resolve this issue, I am taking them to court

Discussion Why Are Indian Gamers Obsessed with Certain Things?

A little bit of backstory: I've been playing games on PC since I was 7. I never really talked about games with anyone other than my friend, so when I got to college, I was excited to meet other people and learn what kinds of games they played.

It was fun at first, but now it's been two years in college and about a month of lurking in this subreddit.

Now to my main point:

Why is it always:

- GTA V = peak

- Red Dead Redemption 2 = peak

- The Witcher 3 = peak

- Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Myth: Wukong (if their PC can run them) = peak

- Forza = peak

- "Good graphics = better game"

- "3D = better"

- "2D = What even is this?"

- AAA = instantly hyped

- Indie = "Not my type" (all of them.. not their type..)

I've heard these takes so many times that I'm genuinely curious. Growing up, I was pretty disconnected from the wider gaming community, so I don't know where this mindset came from..

What happened? Was it a popular streamer? A YouTuber?

At first, it annoyed me. Now I'm just genuinely curious.

News Miyamoto Talks about company laying off their developers | VGC

“So, the reason Nintendo enjoys such strong global support is simply that we don’t start by asking: ‘What’s trending right now?’ Instead, we focus on who we’re actually doing this for. Who is it that’s putting up the money? I really dislike terms like ‘depreciation’ or ‘recouping costs.’ The people funding these projects are doing it to make a fortune, so why celebrate things like ‘we recouped our investment’ or short-term profits? To me, if you’ve burned through the talents of so many people just to achieve that, that feels like a massive failure."

Giveaway How do you know every entry in your Reddit giveaway was actually counted?

If you have ever run a large giveaway on Reddit, you have probably wondered: did the tool actually count everyone?

Here is the uncomfortable part: many popular giveaway tools quietly stop reading comments after a certain point. On a big thread, that can mean hundreds or thousands of people who commented were never actually in the draw. Nobody gets told, and the winner still looks legit. And since these tools never show you how many entries they read, you have no way to notice.

I built r/FairGiveaway to change that. It shows you the exact number of entries that made it into the draw, right on the post, so you and your entrants see precisely what the draw ran on.

What else it does:

  • No caps. Reads every single comment, no matter how big the thread gets.
  • One person, one entry. Duplicate comments change nothing, each person counts once.
  • Filters. Set a minimum account age and karma to keep out bots and alt accounts.
  • Keyword rules. Require entrants to include specific words, comments without them do not count. This one was built from community feedback.
  • Public record. Every action, every draw, every replacement is logged publicly, so your community can see the giveaway was run clean.

The best way to get a feel for it: grab one of your past giveaway posts and run it through the app. You will see the entry count and the full flow in a couple of minutes. One thing to know: each post can only ever host one giveaway, so use a post that is already done.

r/FairGiveaway is free and runs entirely on Reddit. A few giveaways in this community have already used it. Here's the explainer post if you want to read more about it.

I built it because trusting a screenshot or a black-box tool shouldn't be the standard. If you try it, tell me what annoyed you and what to build next. The last update came entirely from what users asked for.

Discussion How is this build for 1440p gaming ?

Post image
13 Upvotes

I want a Ryzen 7 gaming PC that can handle 1440p gaming easily, this is what i came up with based on the suggestions i see people give on this subreddit, and yes i want it to be minimal with no RGB if possible. My budget is max 250k. I also don't care much about resale value of the parts, as i saw some people talking about it, because when the time comes to upgrade i would just like to rather use the old parts for other purposes rather than selling them.

CPU: Ryzen 7 9850X3D
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850M
Ram: G.Skill Trident DDR5 32GB (16x2)
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060XT 16GB
PSU: Cooler Master Elite Gold 750W
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36 CO CPU Cooler

Is there any changes for the better that can be made here ?

Discussion RPG Maker games... what do you think...?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

Having had a look around other subreddits, I’ve realised just how divided opinion tends to be. Some players love them, but many others dismiss them as soon as they see they’re made with that engine. What do you think? What sort of games (adventures, horror, etc.) do you think work best with RPG Maker? And what do you think sets a good game of this style apart from one that’s just run-of-the-mill?

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Invoice upload is no longer required – Share your retailer experience!

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

A while back I shared the retailer review section on PickPCParts.in, but I had made invoice upload mandatory. Looking back, that was a mistake and probably why almost nobody submitted a review.

I've now made invoice upload completely optional.

So if you've purchased from MDComputers, PrimeABGB, Vedant, Vishal Peripherals, Avika Retails, EliteHubs, PCStudio, EasyShoppi, Computech, or any other Indian PC retailer, I'd really appreciate if you could take a minute to leave a rating or share your experience.

https://pickpcparts.in/retailers/

You can rate stores based on:

  • Shipping & Packaging
  • Customer Support
  • RMA/Warranty Experience
  • Overall Buying Experience

Even a simple rating without a written review helps. The goal is to build a reliable, community-driven retailer directory that benefits everyone buying PC hardware in India.

Thanks! ❤️

Help Help me To buy a computer

  1. What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using:

- Heavy coding and software development (Python, scripting, data manipulation).

- Android app development (running Android Studio and multiple Android Virtual Devices/emulators).

- Tech-related research, learning, and running local development servers.

- No heavy gaming planned, but the PC needs strong multi-core processing power for compiling code and heavy multitasking.

  1. What is your maximum budget?

- ₹75,000 INR (Flexible if a slight increase yields a massive performance jump for Android development).

  1. What, exactly, do you need included in the budget?

- The entire setup: Complete Tower (CPU, GPU, Motherboard, RAM, SSD, PSU, Cabinet) plus a good quality Monitor. (Peripherals like keyboard and mouse can be excluded or kept basic).

  1. If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?

- None. This is my first desktop computer. I only have prior experience with an entry-level laptop.
