DISCUSSION What if Arrowhead originally balanced weapons around teamwork?
I've been wondering whether the reason so many primaries felt underpowered at launch is because they were balanced with the assumption that the squad would stay together like in HD1.
Take the launch version of the Liberator Penetrator. It only dealt 45 damage which felt absolutely abysmal on paper and slightly underwhelming in practice, even with AP3. And it didn't even have full auto!
But imagine four dudes all focusing the same target with the Lib Pen. Suddenly that's the equivalent of AP3 180 damage being applied at once. Devastators, Hive Guards, and Brood Commanders would go down in a reasonable amount of time. Now imagine someone with the Punisher keeping enemies at bay so that the squad can hold ground. The Punisher itself feels slow when it comes to killing enemies but now it has 3 Lib Pens backing it up while they can fire uninterrupted. Suddenly, the Punisher doesn't feel too bad and nobody's crying for buffs.
Perhaps the weapons weren't balanced around one helldiver but rather four helldivers shooting together. If that's how the game was originally balanced then it would explain why so many weapons felt weak.

DISCUSSION Do you think the Steeled Veterans Wabond is worth buying?
I know the Senator gun is very good, I'm talking about the other primary guns
Are the primary weapons in this Warbond any good?
Because both of the weapons that come out are light armor-penetrate

HUMOR Static Field Hatepost
Every time I see one of these blue headed fucks I want to jam the barrel of whatever gun I’m using so far down my throat I can taste the steel in my colon.
I would rather fight the Appropriators and the Spore Burst Strain with nothing but a god damn stim pistol than have to violate the beautiful piece of weaponry that is the artillery cannon by loading it with nothing but those godless pieces of scrap metal.
I’d melt every single one of these azul atrocities into a rod thick enough to pierce the skull of whatever neanderthalic bastard decided to make them.
If I catch you willingly choosing to load one of these things into my artillery cannon I will beat you within an inch of your life, take your wallet, find your home address, and do the very same to your wife and dog.
My hatred for these mistakes of ammunition is rivaled only by my hatred for the enemies of our beautiful military industrial complex of a civilization.

DISCUSSION Here’s a fun question
What’s your favorite enemy based purely on how you like its design, don’t let how playing against them is affect your choice, just their appearance and how you like the way they work.
I’ll start. Hunter: hate these guys but love how they look, they’re oddly cute in my opinion. Stalker: same as Hunter, plus invisibility is cool. Bile titan: I think they’re really cool, same with the Dragonroach. Devastator: love the armor. War Strider: again, hate fighting these things, but I’m a sucker for mechs. And finally, the Factory Strider: they’re really cool, remind me of the ATATs from Star Wars, which are also cool.
