Yesterday I bought my first Harley and I’m super excited! It’s a 2009 CVO Springer in yellow. I paid $11k which seems like a lot but I feel like I got a good deal and it has 19,600 miles. I went directly to the DMV which was a 3 hour wait but I also needed to renew my License and get new registrations for my other vehicles. The wait sucked but i don’t have to go back in September.

After riding her back home I took her to my trusted motorcycle shop that works on my other bikes. That 110 motor and the hot Florida climate made me realize people don’t exaggerate when they post online lol. It needs new tires since they are from 2017 and 2019, break pads, and fluids. Any advice or suggestions on what else to do or look out for is very welcomed and appreciated!

I been wanting a yellow Harley for the last 6 months, plus let’s be honest I been a huge fan since I was a little boy! At first I was looking at Road Kings, I still want one in green. But I have other touring cruisers which are similar in function like my 1999 black and red Valkyrie interstate or my 2014 metallic blue Goldwing Valk, I like having different color motorcycle.

So that changed my search from touring models to honestly anything available in yellow 😂. My search was all of Florida since I live in Tampa and have family in NY so I looked at Tri state also. I looked at fat boys, deuces, softails, and vrods. Then 56 days ago I saw the cvo springer for sale and said this the yellow HD I want. We finally agreed on price and now big bird is mine.

I’m super happy to finally have my first Harley Davidson and just wanted to share some pics with you guys that like similar things.

So took home my brand new 2026 Lowride ST last night what a beautiful machine!

I have the SP Concept 2-1 exhaust and screamung eagle Pro Street Tuner, all fitted at my dealer pior to pick up. The bike runs and sound incredble but has the engine light thats on due to the extra sensor that is usally located after the cat.

Dealer said not to worry they are working at a way around but ride confidently and that there is no chance of damage to the bike. I got all this in writing and got the service managers mobile number aswell. He is going to contact me once the fix is found.

So my questions is, who else out there is having the same issue and did you manage to resolove it. I am from Australia

New to me 2007 Deluxe, always loved this color option and the Fatboy wheels the previous owner put on.

When you get old, visiting a place where everything is a few billion years old makes you feel young again😂

I’m getting my motorcycle license in August, and the Harley Street Bob is my dream bike. It’s the bike I’ve wanted from the beginning, and I know I’ll end up owning one sooner or later.
The only thing making me hesitate is that I’m a complete beginner. I’ve only ridden 50cc scooters for a couple of years, and I know that’s not the same as riding a motorcycle.
I’ve seen a lot of people recommend starting on a Honda Rebel 500 instead, mainly because beginners often drop or scratch their first bike while learning.
So I’m wondering: if you knew your dream bike was a Street Bob, would you still buy a Rebel 500 first for a year or two, or would you just go straight for the Street Bob?
I’d love to hear what you would do if you were in my position. Thanks!

Enormous improvement over stock, especially at higher speeds and cornering. It feels glued to the ground and like it's on rails now. Downside is the loss of the unique look from the rear shock but whatever. Progressive makes a rear shock that has a slightly similar look to the FLD shock, but I followed my builder's advice about sacrificing looks for performance and getting the Revo's instead. If you're like me and you are not an expert and you don't have a builder/guide/mentor type person helping you along with your bike, I highly recommend making friends with someone who can fill such a role.

I've been riding sport bikes most of my life. I've heard so many stories over the years about harley riders being when you're on the road not letting people pass. I've never had any problems with anybody when iv rode before when I was younger. No that I'm going to be the big 50 this it's been my dream to own a HD and this is the year for my 1st one looking for a HD low rider S. I'm the kind of person that wants to get along with everyone and when your brother. Had some people here in tn don't get a HD they're not for your kind of people. I've really had someone tell me that. Anyway about passing. When I do purchase my bike and see a group of people do I need to ride up to them and throw a hand up. I usually ride solo when I ride. I ask because I just want to respectful to all my brothers and sisters in the HD community. I can't wait to join soon ✌🏾👊🏽✊🏾💯

Hi everyone — I’m getting my motorcycle endorsement in a few weeks and could use some help deciding which used Harley to buy.

Quick background:

• 26 (turning 27), 5'11", ~210 lbs
• Lots of off-road experience (quads and dirtbikes) but never ridden a street bike
• I work from home and will ride mainly a few times a week: to EMT school, the gym, and weekend cruising/bar hopping
• Not planning much highway riding except on weekends or special occasions

What I’m deciding between:

• Sportster 1200 — lighter and more nimble
• Dyna or Softail — more of the classic Harley feel, more torque and presence
• Any other bike similar to the ones I mentioned that I may be overlooking

What I want:

• A bike with serious power but not something comically huge
• I’ve heard the “start smaller” advice, but I don’t want to buy something I’ll immediately outgrow — I’m comfortable with power and will respect it, ride within my limits, and grow into the bike

Questions for you:

• For a first street bike with my background and intended use, which would you recommend and why?
• Any specific model years or common issues I should watch for on Sportsters, Dynas, or Softails?
• If you were in my shoes and wanted to avoid upgrading later, would you pick the Sportster 1200 or go straight to a Dyna/Softail?

Appreciate any real-world experience, pros/cons, and things to watch when buying used. Thanks!

Trying to remove the bolt that’s holds the saddle bag connector and it’s stripped. Any recommendations on what do or am i SOL? All ideas & recommendations welcome.

I was driving to work and sped up to avoid some cars. The bike slowly started losing power, not engine power the engine revs and sounds like always, I was losing the transmission. Went from 90 to 80 then 70 and pulled onto the side of the highway. I could physically shift through gears but no power output to the belt. I tried a few other times just to get exit the freeway a mile away and now their doesnt seem to be any internal shifting. What gave out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In between a 2010 street glide and a 2019 street bob. I know very different bikes but this is what my budget allows me. Was dead set on the street glide then found a sweet street bob and really don’t know which way to go. As someone who has always ridden lighter bikes the weight of the street glide kind of intimidates me

Hey y’all, I just wanted to express my frustration with this company. I placed an order for a 2-1 fat cat exhaust for my dyna back in January and originally it was only gonna take 6-12 weeks to get…. Now all year long it’s been on backorder and two months ago. They told me that it would take about 4 to 6 weeks for their steel shipment to come in so they could build my exhaust I gave them some extra time and called today and discovered they are still waiting on steel….It turns out they have plenty of steel on hand to build exhaust for the M8 bikes, but they don’t have inventory to build my exhaust because they said (twin Cam) exhaust builds are on low priority. what kind of company is this? I’ve been waiting since January and all they could do is come up with more and more excuses. I’m not waiting any longer for an exhaust. I need to find a better company to go to for a 2-1 I’ve waited six months with no result. I can say I don’t recommend buying a exhaust from this company unless you own a M8

If you have an Insta 360 or GoPro mounted to your bike how did you rig it up?

My wife and I have been going on awesome rides up and down the California coast and I’d like to get some videos and pictures.

I’ve considered mounting a GoPro to my saddle bag guards or maybe add a ball mount to my handle bars.

The only thing I know for sure is that I don’t want a helmet mounted camera.

My bike is an 07 road glide.

I allways rode japanese motorcycles and had very few issues ever. I'm thinking of buying a Harley one day and keep it like forever, because I allways loved them for their looks and sound and whatnot. I'm thinking electra glide late twin cam 103 model, like 2015ish. What can I expect reliability wise? I'm gonna mantain it properly ofcourse. I see all kinds of reliability opinions here. What is you real life experience? Can I do like 100k km without any mayor work?

Are there any sissy bar bags that don't cinch around the bag itself squashing it to the sissy bar? I need something that's good for every day use, like quickly putting food in there when I go out on my lunch break.

I'm looking for something that quickly opens up and closes and doesn't squash my precious food. Something that could fit rain gear, a tire patch kit, a few tools and leave room for a hoody and of course food. The sissy bar in question would be one of the taller ones.

My 89 y/o Grandpa is selling me his rebuilt 81 Wide glide. The spokes have been replaced but wont hold balance. Is the only option buying new?
