Reskinned stone slabs. Build not done yet, neither is the interior as you can probably see.

Yeah those are probably the best blocks in this version. I wanted to make red with bricks but I didn't found any clay yet. Also, I thought about making black with obsidian but I realised it's not very realistic...

Good seed btw, there is sugarcane and cactus at spawn (idk why would I need cactus). And also a cool cliff/mountain/cave thing. But that's pretty common for this version

0.0.23a_01 is the first update where you are able to build with water and lava in vanilla using a glitch. these are all screenshots from my world where I am updating through every version of the game started in 2022, see this video for the full tour: https://youtu.be/7BnGFDrZTmM

I really missed this feeling.

Since everyone is curious, I'll explain how it's done:

Here’s how I made it: Everything you see around you is a texture pack (lighting, water color, etc.). You can download these from sites like Planet Minecraft or Modrinth.

-beta 1.7.3 lighting
-Programmer Art Continuation Project

-justzilla's classic pack

-C418 songs only

(also need to add the Programmer Art textures)

As for the fog, I used the Sodium Extra mod.

my settings:

fog distance: default

fog start: %30

Discussion What is the best golden age MC version?

I've been playing Beta 1.7.3 recently, and I love it!!! But I do want to know what people in this subreddit think. I have seen people saying that infdev is the best, with others saying early beta.

Discussion I often think that the changes in Minecraft design reflect real life trends in interior and exterior design

Hi All, just joined this subreddit as I started playing around 2012 and have never stopped. Even during the "dark ages" around 2017 I think they were.

I love seeing old photos of the solid lime wool carpets and paintings on every wall.

I think the changes in design to the more modern "YouTube tutorial builds" we see are similar to how we evolved in real life.

In the 1970s in England we had Avacado Bathrooms and Artex coated ceilings. In 2012 minecraft we had solid wool wall to wall floors and cobblestone walls and glowstone everywhere. This is the Minecraft equivalent of the "tacky 1970s"

In my house on my realm I'm actually in the process of adding a "2011 Wing" to it with all of these old features. It looks great so far!

Thanks!

Retro-Modding [1.2.5] Technic SSP Modpack Sphax BDCraft 128x!

It took me ages, but I found enough textures through the Wayback Machine to make a (mostly) functional Sphax pack for the original Technic pack. Unfortunately, I could not find working MoCreatures files, but everything else should be there for the most part.

If anyone's been looking for this for ages like me, I uploaded it here.

Discussion Does anyone here also prefer old netherrack?

I feel like i'm the only person who really prefers the old netherrack texture.

I don't find it disgusting or anything.

I really think it is aesthetically pleasing to me.
