The previous screenshot on Xbox showed “Last Rites Mission” it’s been changed and removed and the description was changed not to include it.

Edit: love getting downvoted for just telling people what they changed in the store/ screenshot and the description 👍.

News Ghost Recon Wildlands is not getting a Remake

I have seen some recent talk on platforms like X & Instagram by creators regarding the possibility that Ghost Recon Wildlands may get a Remake as per the info gathered through the leaks which state certain changes. To clarify with regards to this confusion; the game is not getting a Remake but a 60FPS Patch Update or a Next-Gen Update.

60FPS Patch Update
- Adds 60FPS & upscaled resolution

Next-Gen Update
- Adds option for Fidelity & Performance Modes
- Haptic Trigger & Feedback Support for Controllers
- 3D Audio
- Faster Load Time Support on SSD's

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was launched on the PS4 & Xbox One, but it got a Next-Gen Patch Update for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Consoles which further improved the game's experience on Next-Gen Consoles. Recently, Tom Clancy's The Division got a 60FPS Patch Update but no support for 4K & it also got Definitive Edition Launch. Now both games are made on different engines; both recent Ghost Recon Games were made on Ubisoft's Anvil Engine so there's a huge chance that a 10 Year Old Game will get a Next-Gen Update. If this happens, then it proves Ubisoft's proficiency in further optimising their flagship titles.

Furthermore only the New Story Drop; The Last Rite, will be available for free for all Wildland's players with the exception of 2 new cosmetic packs which are available for purchase separately. We will know more on August 6th as we all come together to celebrate 25 Years of Ghost Recon.

Discussion I'd find it hard to go back to Wildlands without the gameplay improvements I love in Breakpoint, but the world of Wildlands is SO much better

60fps and 4K isn't enough to bring me back

I'd miss the improved free camera, animations, using mud and snow to hide, cutting through fences, multitude of takedowns, using bandages... Honestly the list goes on and on

There's loads of things I love about Breakpoint from a pure gameplay perspective

But the missions, world design, stroy and almost everything else is so much better

A remake/remaster of Wildlands would ideally be the Wildlands world with all of the gameplay improvements from Breakpoint... That would make me play it again, even pay to upgrade it

Discussion New mission in ghost recon wilands

This is my personal prediction and speculation.

I think this new mission could serve as a bridge leading into the new chapter called Project OVR (Project Over). I also believe the reason they released this mission is to gauge whether the fanbase is still active and engaged. If the response isn't strong enough, there's a chance they might cancel the project altogether, especially since we all know the development process hasn't exactly been going smoothly.

Another thing I noticed is the background art for this new mission. The forest in the background looks very similar to Project OVR's concept, which is rumored to take place in a Southeast Asian jungle.

Of course, this is just my personal opinion and speculation, so I could be completely wrong.

Question If you could only keep ONE Ghost Recon game. Which is it?

If I could only keep one game, it'd be Wildlands hands down.

I don't think it's the best Ghost Recon ever made in every aspect. Future Soldier had the better vibe and squad dynamic, GRAW had better firefights, and the original had unmatched tactical depth. I have a huge soft spot for Future Soldier and the OG GR especial Island Thunder👌 But Wildlands is the game I've put the most hours into because no other Ghost Recon has given me that level of freedom to tackle missions however I wanted.

If you had to choose just one Ghost Recon game to keep forever, which would it be? More importantly, what makes it stand above the rest for you?

Discussion After the Wildlands leak, is there any hope that we will be finally be able to run wildlands on newer CPU's because ive been wanting to play this game on PC so bad.

For those of you who dont know wildlands just simply does not launch on modern Intel CPUs. When trying to launch the game its always indefinitely stuck on the splash screen and nothing has been done to fix it.

Question Is this update bringing new character models to Wildlands?

Post image
269 Upvotes

So this is really interesting to me because, where it says “season pass” the image above seems to show character models from Breakpoint, with thicker builds than the slimmer ones in Wildlands. Are we getting new character models for Wildlands or am I reading into that too much?

Question Where is the Ghost Recon Website?

Keep an eye out for the Ghost Recon Website being reactivated; it was shut down after support for Breakpoint ended. All Intel Drops will be available there for a breakdown. So far only the X Account has been reactivated, the Instagram Handle will be activated soon.

Discussion Confused about wildlands 60 fps update.

So I've heard that there will be a new edition with 4k 60 fps on console. Is that like a whole re-release, or will those improvements be available for the base game too?

Like, If I buy the base game now, Will I be able to play the game in 60 fps when that new version comes?

I plan on getting it on a sale soon, but I wanna know if I'll benefit from 60 fps as well
