I've been doing this since the last semester with the Pro model and it had been working fantastically. So, I have files with programing code and a big header at the top, and multiple descriptions (symbols // and # followed by text) across the files.

The files are usually 100-450 KB.

When I send such a file to a regular Gemini chat (note a Notebooks chat or a Studio chat), Gemini sees very few code lines, if any at all, and says the file is mostly English text without any functions, etc...

It's not a context window getting overloaded, because if I copy and paste the code and send it, Gemini understands everything. The problem happens only with files.
