Rumor Fortnite tracker live teammate material count - potentially against TOS

The integrity of such a feature is likely be debatable given that it kind of serves as QoL rather than a providing a competitive advantage. However, given it’s nature of providing real-time information that can’t be seen normally via something to effect of an overlay, the concern seems to be worth bringing to awareness

The official Fortnite Competitive account very recently tweeted a reminder about section 7.2.1 [relevant part pictured] of the master rules. I assume it was an implied response to Fortnite tracker’s new feature

Opinion Problem with SBMM. Need help.

I’m like 1 win away from Unreal, but that doesn’t matter because the second I h it champ, I just started winning every single game.
What the fuck is going on? Why am I being put in the most Weenie Hut Jr. lobbies of all time? Both in Pubs and Ranked, i run into literal children. I won my last game, the final guy I killed was called Connor2016.
It’s weird to complain about something like this, I know, but I really want to play against people my skill level.
Anyone else dealing with this? Any fixes?

Discussion Everyone tells you to grind your mechanics but what are the mechanics to actually practice?

Im getting back into Fortnite after a long break and am terrible mainly I don’t know what to do when watching guides to ranked and comp everyone tells you the same things, practice your mechs, practice your aim, practice your gamesense, but never which of those things are worth learning first and not at all and what’s just flashy stuff that ur never gonna use in a real game does anyone know any good tutorials and or creators that actually break down the basic fundamentals and not just show random retakes?

Discussion Is ranked harder or am I washed

I started playing fn a bit again w my friends after 2 years, but it seems a lot harder. We are in silver rn but like half the kids we face are as good as the comp in elite+ back in the day. For context, we hit unreal in chapter 5 season 1. Is ranked harder now or are we just washed?

Discussion How do you approach situations where you've lost track of your opponent in a build fight?

Let's just say you've taken high ground and they drop a few layers and start lurking. You've lost sight of them but they're somewhere in the builds. What do you do?

My current method is to shock off the top without searching the builds and see if they come out but sometimes that's not an option or I want to keep pressure on them because they're low.

I feel like it costs too many mats to search the builds while staying protected so what do you do?

Opinion Bringing back the 30ms Minimum Ping Cap for Competitive Integrity.

Hi Epic Games Team and Community,I would like to advocate for the implementation of a minimum ping cap (such as 30ms) for online competitive tournaments, particularly in expansive regions like Brazil. Currently, the competitive landscape in South America is deeply unequal. Because the servers are located in São Paulo, players living nearby enjoy a "0-ping" advantage. In a high-stakes, mechanics-driven game like Fortnite—where wall-taking and piece control depend entirely on milliseconds—this creates an unbridgeable gap for talent living in other regions, such as the North, Northeast, Midwest, or South.
No matter how mechanically skilled a player is, they cannot overcome the physical distance to the server.Implementing a 30ms floor would fix this major issue by creating a level playing field. It would ensure that tournaments are decided by pure skill, strategy, and mechanical speed, rather than geographic location. Furthermore, this change would democratize the professional scene, allowing top-tier talent from all over the country to finally rise and compete at the highest level.

A ping cap is a necessary step for true competitive integrity in countries with continental dimensions. Please consider bringing this feature back to life for the future of open and fair competition.Thank you for your time and for constantly working to improve Fortnite.

Discussion How to start learning how to Build

So I've been playing for about a Year and some Months, my mistake was starting with Zero Build and never giving Build a try and I guess I'd like to give it a serious try now 😬

I know there's plenty of videos around teaching you the basics and such but I'm more of a "show me and I do it" type of Person.

Which brings me to my question if there's a place or maybe here someone that could teach me the very basics. I play on PlayStation 5 and am a "decent" player so I'm sure I'll learn quick.

I appreciate the help 🙏🏻

Hardware and Settings Controller Players: Let's Compare Settings and Aim Feel (Community Investigation

Controller Players: Let's Compare Settings and Aim Feel (Community Investigation)

I've noticed that many controller players say their aim feels completely different, even when using almost identical settings.

I'd like to collect as much information as possible to see if we can identify any patterns or possible issues.

Please share:

  • Platform (PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox, PC)
  • Controller model
  • Linear or Exponential
  • Horizontal & Vertical sensitivity
  • ADS sensitivity
  • Left & Right deadzones
  • Aim Assist (%)
  • Foot Controller (On/Off)
  • Gyroscope (On/Off)
  • Any advanced settings you use
  • Your FPS
  • How your aim feels (too sticky, weak, inconsistent, delayed, etc.)

Also, have you noticed any difference after:

  • Using "Copy from Legacy"?
  • Changing Aim Assist from 100% to 99% and back?
  • Turning Foot Controller on or off?
  • Major Fortnite updates?

The goal is not to claim there's a bug, but to gather real data from controller players. If enough people participate, we may discover useful patterns or provide valuable feedback to Epic.

Thanks to everyone who contributes!

Discussion Amount of cups lately

This is something i’ve recently noticed: there are so little cups? There was the stupid ass summer break, now there were 2 div cups and ofc fncs. as someone in div 2, will there just be nothing to play until late AUGUST? Alright, there’s solos, but even solo cups come so inconsistently. Correct me if im wrong, but there’s been only like 8 solo cups. (if not less). Now I know, If you’re div 1, there’s a lot to play. But as someone below div 1, There are div cups and nothing else all week.
and after fncs, will there be no cups for a whole month? How are there so many ranked & mobile cups but no actual cups for everyone to play?
Is it that hard to add some skincups/ open cups?

Discussion trying to improve as a diamond level player and dont really know how im supposed to go about it

Hey, I'm not too good and am looking to fight better and get into comp, and when watching the gameplay of good players I always see them do stuff like full boxing their opponents really quickly / piecing, and I'm wondering if this is something someone deliberatly learns to do, or does it come from fighting experience.

Also a lot of people and yt vids talk about improving as an already good player but from your experience how did you go from being a normal like diamond level player to being actually good and playing comp.

Discussion Im going on vacation to a different state just for play ins of fncs - what is my best option?

Im going on vacation from the 17th till the morning of the 24th meaning i won't be home for play ins but ill be back for heats. I packed a monitor and all my gaming equipment including a ps5 other than my pc which im leaving at home (I didn't wanna risk it breaking) where im going i think I have 3 options but I wanna know which option is best to have 0 risk of not being able to q up heats due to fortnite detecting me and thinking im account sharing. Option 1 - go to a gaming cafe and play both days of play ins from that pc. If I do this option I will have guaranteed good internet and good pc but I feel like this is a risk in terms of epic detecting account sharing when I get home and play on my pc for heats. Option 2 - I rent a brand new pc nobody has played fortnite on b4. I talked to an epic employee and they said its a way less chance of any issues if I play on a pc nobody has recently played tournaments on thats why I feel this option might be safer than going to a gaming cafe. Option 3 - play on Playstation for both days of play ins. Im not 100% but I think this won't cause any issues in terms of getting falsely banned/inactive or not being able to q heats since but this is risky since its not easy to qual heats on Playstation. Has anyone had experience on playing 2 days of 1 round on a tournament from a different states on a different pc then playing the second round at home and can anyone help me decide on what I should do?

Discussion What format has been getting the best turnout for local Zero Build tournaments lately?

We started running a weekly local Zero Build tournament and learned a few things after week one.

The biggest surprise wasn't skill level—it was that players seemed to enjoy consistent matchmaking and shorter downtime between games more than larger prize pools.

We're experimenting with:

  • Number of rounds
  • Match scoring
  • Lobby size
  • Time between matches
  • Solo vs Duo interest

For those of you who regularly attend or organize competitive Zero Build events, what format keeps people coming back every week?

Have you found a sweet spot for:

  • Number of matches?
  • Placement vs elimination scoring?
  • Best player count before splitting lobbies?
  • Check-in and warm-up timing?

I'd love to hear what has worked in your local scene.

Discussion What are the best PvP creative maps for fight practice?

Can anyone recommend a few maps and let me know how hard it is to compete in each? So far I've used the BHE 1v1 map but most players in there are too easy. The other one I've tried is Martoz turtle fights and I find it hard to keep up in there.

Can anyone recommend something in between? Preferably with instant respawn

Cheater Report Scanner using leaderboards to steal fortnite accounts

There seem to be hackers or scammers DMing players on the Div 1-3 leaderboards pretending to host customs. After joining their Discord, they get you to sign up for customs on a sketchy website, which changes the email and password for your Epic Games account. Attached is the image I got. Basically everyone in my close friend group got this messaged.

anyone else feel absolutely fried after playing at their peak rank

i swear competing at my actual skill ceiling in this game just wipes me out completely, like i can play maybe 3 matches then i'm done for the night

my peak is somewhere around 1.8k PR and the level of focus i need to maintain to stay alive is ridiculous, i play defensive on high ping so i'm constantly reading opponents and trying to counter their pressure but the SECOND my concentration slips even a tiny bit i'm whiffing edits and getting pieced up

it's not like i'm grinding 8 hours a day either, i take weeks off sometimes and come back and it's the same story, the only time i feel like i'm actually playing well is when i'm in that rare flow state where everything clicks but that never lasts long and then i crash SO hard afterwards

i see these cracked kids playing 12 hour streams and i genuinely don't understand how they do it, maybe i'm just getting old but the mental stamina required to compete at my level is way more draining than it ever used to be

anyone else get this or am i just washed

Discussion What can I do with the recent nerf to visual audio?

I’m have hearing damage due to work and a medical condition, and with the nerf to visual audio I’m dying to people that I don’t even know are there. I mainly play ZB but I’m a pretty competitive player and I’m above average but I’m now dying way more to players that catch me off guard more than ever. The nerf did nothing but make visual audio even better for players that don’t actually need it. i’m not sure if I need to have 3D audio on or not.

Hardware and Settings is controller to kbm worth it for a seasoned controller player

i am aware that kbm is an superior input to controller but i have more than 2k hours on this game with controller i have reached a point where my mechanics are great for controller and they don't hold me back in fights, i can comfortably triple edit and even quad edit on 60 ping and I'm not sure its worth it spending a lot of time to switch to kbm i tried it out today and i was pretty comfortable with the movement and aim since i have several thousand hours with kbm in other games , my biggest problem being mechanics, only being able to double edit. Overall I'm just not sure its worth it to make the switch since my mechanics are already in a good place with controller. what do you think
