Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 Fiat Punto Van 1.3 Multijet with a strange electrical issue.

It only happens after the car has been parked for more than a day. When I turn the key to the ON position, instead of all the dashboard warning lights coming on as usual, only the airbag warning light stays on. I can still hear the normal ignition chime/sound.

When I then turn the key to start the engine, it starts normally, but the radio resets and the trip computer/on-board computer also resets, as if there was a brief loss of power.

The battery is a 1-year-old Varta, so I wouldn't expect it to be the cause.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a bad battery terminal, a faulty ground (earth) connection, the ignition switch, or something else?

So I've been wanting to own a Fiat Panda for years now and I'm finally ready to just pull the plug but what's always stopped me are the California regulations around smog. My assumption is a stock Fiat Panda (like for instance a 1995) wouldn't pass. Has anyone here ever navigated that? Is it a lost cause? Do I just need to register it in another state? Just curious if any other folks in the US have had to deal with this and have any advice.

Isn't the collar supposed to be concentric? it's offset to the top right for some reason. I dropped my transmission since for about a week it was really hard not to grind in reverse and then suddenly I couldn't shift into any gear. I thought it was the slave/master cylinder, but none of them are leaking and look completely fine. (2nd pic is a little exaggerated)

I just saw this and thought this group would appreciate it.

The noise was coming from the left, so I suspected the inner tie rod and replaced it, but it didn't solve the problem. (btw the inner tie rod was very loose

A 2023 Fiat 500x. I'm beyond elated right now. It's got a great design, drives like a dream. I got her at 21,000 USD and only 20,000 miles.

I keep reading bad things about the Fiat 500x though, it's making me nervous. What do you all think about this car? Any tips for upkeep?

My dad was an avid x19 owner from the mid 90s through the early 2000s and ended up buying a TON of parts that he kept as spares for his 78. Over the years he got older and the car was harder to get in and out of so it was sold off and no longer lives in our family. But his garage has a bunch of new old stock, OEM and hard to find parts. He's located near Portland Oregon and as such would like to know if any locals are interested in looking and buying anything before I help him start listing on eBay. Here are a couple pics of part of what he has. I'll be able to respond with additional parts pics as I uncover them from his garage the next time I'm out at his place.

Earlier today, I had posted a photo of a FIAT Panda Selecta magazine article from 1991 here. I remembered that I had come across this small advertisement for FIAT Auto USA in a different magazine last week. This advertisement was from Sports Car Graphic magazine, specifically the September 1984 issue.

By that time, FIAT was no longer importing and selling cars in the US, but it looks like they were still maintaining their parts network. I looked up the street address on Google Maps and it currently belongs to an architecture firm that is located near the Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

Anyone in the US want to call the phone number and see who it belongs to in 2026? LOL.

I have a 2016 Fiat 500 Pop and I'm trying to figure out exactly what this front bumper trim is called.

The long black strip underneath the Fiat badge has started coming loose, and when it came away it pulled some paint off with it (see photos).

From what I can tell, it almost looks like it's just a plastic trim that's been glued onto the bumper, but I'm confused because I thought there was supposed to be a chrome moulding there. I'm wondering if a previous owner has fitted an aftermarket black trim or if something is missing.

I'm trying to find out:

What is the correct name of this part?

Is there supposed to be a chrome moulding underneath?

Do I need to replace the whole trim or just the black piece?

Does the front bumper need to come off to install it properly?

Does anyone know the correct OEM part number for a 2016 Fiat 500 Pop?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The van has been on the driveway for the last year due to health problems and lately it wasn't running well from cold when started up. A month or so ago she refused to start.

A family friend brought his odb scanner and the problem seems to be that the high pressure fuel pump isn't firing. Apparently, a lot of them have failed since the change to low sulphor diesel here in the UK.

Are there any potential problem solving things we could do before we commit to changing the pump, anything else what could be resulting in there not being any pressure at this stage?

If we do go ahead and have to change the pump, I'd rather avoid a second hand one, are there any decent places you could recommend to have it refurbed or potentially, buy a new one? I'm going to see if I can find out the part number online, as opposed to having to remove it, although I know that will have to happen and will be lots of "fun" 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sorry for the lack of technical terms but I'm trying to sort this out for my father who is also relaying info from other people!

​O carro marca de 10V a 18V na escala de fábrica. Sei que a escala é fixa, mas o valor numérico que aparece lá é 18V. Já me disseram que isto indica uma sobretensão grave vinda do regulador de voltagem do alternador, mas queria perceber se alguém com modelos semelhantes já viu isto acontecer.

​Tenho um aviso de erro no painel (o carro com ponto de exclamação), mas sei que isso é provocado pela falta de um sensor após um pequeno acidente. No entanto, preocupam-me estes 18V constantes.

​A minha dúvida é:

​Alguém com carros deste género já viu este valor de 18V?

​É possível que seja apenas um erro de leitura do sensor ou devo assumir que o alternador está realmente a enviar 18V para o sistema?

​Já aconteceu a alguém ter este valor e o carro continuar a funcionar, ou é sinal de que vou queimar a eletrónica toda a qualquer momento?

I know the 60HP one is non-interference, and the 70HP is interference, however i cant find anything about the 65HP one in the Grande Punto. I presume its non-interference since it doesnt have VVT, but it doesnt hurt to ask.

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a fiat bravo or grande punto as my first car, I was wondering what are the limits of the 1.4tjet, how much can the stock rods, pistons gearbox etc. handle. My plan was to build it to about 250hp first then see what I can do later.
