Hey everyone, new player here. I hit a wall with my spellblade build, Sir Pothead. I can’t get past Maliketh (or the draconic knight) and I know I’m probably doing something wrong with my stats. Right now just going back and killing all the dragons I can find. I wanted to get vigor and int up to 70 before spreading to other areas. I know I need to get endurance up.

Using moonveil and carian regal scepter.

I’ve never played a fromsoft game before so this is the furthest I’ve ever gone. I know int is easy mode but again this is my first run and I just wanted to experience the game first before going back and making another build.

So this is my build, and I’ve been thinking on changing it for a strength based build. Or is there a way to improve it?

And if I end up with a Str. Build, what should I level up? Do I change my specs?
(For strength weapons I have the rusted anchor and the greatsword, maybe this info is useful)

i can get radagon but then my mimic tear will die and ill get destroyed by the elden beast i use the blasphemous blade and this is my build any recommendations what i should level up or do

This is purely for PVE. Just trying to recreate a character of mine, in Elden Ring. Soo, i want to use st trina sword for its sleep attribute and for bosses i want to use envoys longhorn to have an easier time (also because its adorable) as well as some incants. The thing is this is definetly a make-shit-up build and i need some assistance on how to make it work. I have NEVER played a faith build in my life;

What are some strong incants that i can use as a "wake up" effect?

What are the talismans i should aim for?

Any other advice you could give me?

Does anybody know if it is possible (on a reasonably difficult manner) to beat the game at RL1 with only dragon communion spells?

The build I wanted to make was around ice and rot breath using Marika Scarseal and the two fingers heirloom. I was wondering also if I could boost my stats enough to use dragon maw to stance break bosses and crit them with a dagger.

Anyway, I tried to find a video or a guide online but I can’t find anything and I am wondering if it is even possible.

Elden Ring likes to hide really good Ashes of War inside weapons that you get from certain NPCs, like Glintblade Phalanx from Rogier's Rapier.

My favorite is Spinning Strikes from the halberd you get from Edgar in Liurnia. Love this AoW! It gives a lot of melee weapons some really nice sweeping attacks. I only recently found out that while spinning, it has some nice follow-up R1 & R2 attacks! The R1 follow-up (a sweeping finish) is really nice for clearing groups in melee. I wish I knew about it in my previous playthroughs. 😭

I've heard it's absolutely disgusting with a Grave Scythe, but I'm using it with the Nightrider's Glaive in my current playthrough. I cannot convey how satisfying it is to apply some fire grease + using this ash's R1 follow-up against all the hand enemies in Caria Manor. If you're looking for some happiness in your life, I recommend it! 😇

Approaching the end of the base game on my 2nd ever playthrough, fighting the bosses without summons this time around. I’m still pretty new to souls games and i have so many bad habits to fix lol. I’m posting my current stats because I’m approaching lvl 150 and I’ve been mostly doing my own build crafting, so I’m asking for feedback or thoughts on rebalancing my attributes. Should i take some points out of endurance or mind and put them into strength? My play style for this run has been primarily strength melee, with incants for ranged and buffs, along with some aoe as well. Appreciate any guidance or thoughts!

EDIT: I’ve been using a bunch of different weapons, I’ll try to list them off the top: Black Blade, Blasphemous Blade (don’t really like it but it’s good for clearing catacombs), Ordovis’ greatsword, Flamberge, colossal greatsword, and great stars. Those are all maxed out but I’ve leveled some others as well.

I rarely play strength builds, but I'm currently doing a playthrough as a tank build with greatshield + hammer and spears.

Got Spiked Spear drop while exploring Raya Lucaria, and I'm wondering if Bloodflame Blade + Heavy Affinity Spinning Weapon AoW is viable?

I haven't upgraded it much (+6), but it seemed to trigger bleed really fast, even though I have minimum Arcane for Vagabond + Godrick's Great Rune (7+5 =12).

The Spiked Spear has 50 innate bleed, and from what I understand, Bloodflame Blade is 40 bleed over 2 seconds. Spinning Weapon hits 7 times, so am I getting 90×7 = 630 bleed buildup?

What's a good way to test this?

I'm going to start a second playthrough and I'm looking for recommendations on builds that are fun. They don't have to be OP just viable and enjoyable. My first playthrough was INT with Moonveil or DMGS, so preferably not an INT build.

A build I recently made trying to blend Sister Friede and Ciri from the Witcher.

Using black flame incantations, and Wraith of Gold.
Weapons are Flame art Scythe with Bloodhounds Step, or Halo Scythe depending on match up. And Flame art Milady, with Swords Dance.

It’s been a lot of fun to play, this is my first level capped character.

I would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions!

I feel like with these stats I should be able to defeat Rennala but I'm getting my butt handed to me in the second round. What am I doing wrong? I've watched videos of people defeating her while being a noob but she gets me every time. I've lost count how many times I've tried. 😭😭😭

Im running a bleed build right now and it feels like im fighting with rubber swords im RL379 anything with high consistent damage thats some what fast

I have the AoW: Raptors mist on the serpent fangs, poison moth flight on the Katana so I can burst damage the enemy and apply poison again.

I am planning to use the rotten wing insignia once I finish Millicent's questline but aside from that I don't really know that well what I could change. Maybe some less insurance but putting those points in arcane seems redundant.

Another player also mentioned that PvP becomes very fun at level 200. Can anyone tell me if it's better or worse at level 200? I always heard 150 being the ideal level.

After I finish the dlc I have been wanting to do a mage build with intelligence. What spells are essentials? (I want to do things like carian magic like Rellana’s twin moon and what not)

Hi all, this is my first souls game and so far Elden Ring is quite fun despite how confusing the big world can be.

Recently I have been deciding on either the Zweihander or the Pike for my stagger build based on spamming charged R2s and guard boost counterattacks.

I am not fond of hammers other colossal weapons that are too short in range as it makes it frustrating to try and prevent the enemy poise from regenerating.

However I do not know which weapon to put, as zwei has more stagger damage but pike has more consistent reach and therefore can stagger reliably. I hope to stagger large things especially big bosses and dragons (hopefully even ancient dragon bosses too)

I also ask help in which affinity, talismans, ash of war, and which stats do I need to level up to build around the weapon you recommend (if you jave other weapon recommendations please give thanks).

I want to try and replicate the build in this video but I don't know the stats or armour. The buffs and weapons are talked about at time stamp 0:57. Any help would be great on this

Should I just go quality? Or cold and scale int? The frost buildup doesn't scale with int, but the damage on the ash of war does but I'm not sure if it's worth building into and splitting damage

Hey, I'm doing a Guts Strength build for my second run. But I killed the dragon on accident, I'm up to the Deminic Tree Sentinel outside Lyndell and I've done the wrong warp glitch to get into crumbling Azula early. But I'm stuck level wise, I can't farm runes effectively. I've gotten to Moghwim palace via Varro'a questline. I've completely started a new game so i'm not on new game+ or have any remembrances i've beaten Radhan and have the DLC I just don't wanna fight Mohg is there any good farming strategy so I can really get the build going?
