Discussion Disney's math implies Raven Baxter was secretly hiding twins during Season 4

So I did some late-night Disney Channel math, and the timeline is completely broken.
Raven’s Home premiered in 2017, and her twins were 11 years old.
2017 – 11 = 2006.
In 2006, That’s So Raven was still actively airing, and Raven was a teenager in high school.
Which means while she was interning for Donna Cabonna and dealing with high school drama, she was apparently hiding a full-term pregnancy.

Happy 34th Birthday to the one and only Selena Marie Gomez or the one that we know simply as Selena Gomez. You're iconic character Alex Russo from The Wizards of Waverly Place, Mikayla from Hannah Montana and Carter from Princess Protection Program as well as our hits like A Year Without Rain, Hit the Lights, Love You Like a Love Song and Who Says among others will always stick to our minds forever and you should know that.

It was hard to watch. Don’t hate me but Cameron just can’t carry a show on his own.

Discussion Does Pink have a crush on Luis Madrigal in Descendants Wicked Wonderland? She mentioned she's a fan of his in the song 'Did You Hear About Them'. She also seems to be ever so slightly jealous of Red when she and Chloe spoke outside the rabbit cottage. Spoiler

This is the Disney Channel logo from the rounded square era, created with MS Paint. I think I made this around 2023 or 2024, but my memory is a bit hazy haha.

It seems Disney XD is airing reruns of older Disney Channel shows. It’s so odd to think of Hannah Montana airing on Disney XD, but besides that, I wonder why they’re choosing to air these reruns on Disney XD instead of Disney Channel. Still, it’s amazing because Disney XD has brought back great shows like Fish Hooks, Wander Over Yonder, Lilo & Stitch, and more. I hope the reruns get good ratings and attract a lot of viewers. When Disney Channel aired these reruns in June, the ratings weren’t very high, so they removed the block. Hopefully, this sticks around.

The fact she managed to do all of this with getting into really tough competitive schools, while having a career as a teen actress and singer will always blow my mind!!

It makes me convinced that she NEVER sleeps!

Discussion Disney Remakes Need to Grow Up Too

I just have to say this as a 31-year-old who grew up during the peak of Disney Channel: I can't stand all these recent remakes.

It's not because I think remakes are a bad idea, I like the idea of remakes depending what angle they take. My issue is that they aren't made for the audience that actually grew up with the originals. Hallmark is coming out with a movie starring older Disney Channel actors this December, including one of the stars from Mean Girls, and they're adults. I'm actually really interested because the story gives me that nostalgic feeling seeing them on screen again, but it's also something I can relate to now at my current age. I wish that the stars from that time period could make more mature Disney adult focused comebacks and I think they would do really well. And this is coming from someone who DOES NOT WATCH HALLMARK at all lol.

I can't relate to a Camp Rock 3 that's still centered around teenagers because... I'm not a teenager anymore. So Im trying to understand who is the target audience for these remakes because what 36 year old is going YES let me watch this lol.

I don't understand why people get so excited about these remakes as grown adults when we've all grown and changed over the years from when these movies/shows premiered. I'd love to see a Camp Rock 3 that follows the characters as adults. Like we could of followed the characters as adults in their music careers. The same goes for The Cheetah Girls. I don't want to watch the same story I already experienced. It was magical the first time because it fit that stage of my life. If I want to watch those movies/shows I want to watch the original.

That's also why Girl Meets World didn't work for me. The dialogue and stories were clearly aimed at a younger audience, which made it hard for me to get into or relate to. If studios are going to bring these franchises back, I'd rather see them grow up with the fans who made them popular in the first place.

Discussion DCOM’s Shot on 35mm Film? Candidates for 4K Restoration

There were a handful of DCOM’s that were photographed on 35mm film. Is there any that come to mind because that was the standard up until the 2010s when they began to shoot movies digitally.

Kenny Ortega’s High School Musical movies are among several that I can think that could be worthy of a 4K release on Disney+ or physical. That is going to be an uphill battle among the brass at the company.

Zenon, The Cheetah Girls, Halloweentown and more can all benefit from a new 4K remaster using the original camera negatives from the vault. There’s still a market for these movies.
