Resource A simple tool to identify which builds you can run with your stash items

Been running Solo Self Found Hard Core this season and its always been a slightly time consuming effort to figure out what items in your stash can at least open up a relatively strong alt build.

So I built https://www.gladpush.gg/diablo

I pulled data from maxroll's tier guides to identify mythic/unique items that are required and allow you to select what you have in stash and which one of their S-A tier builds you have stuff for and links you back to maxroll for the guide.

Been using it myself and just wanted to share with the community.

Discussion How much QoL is too much?

I was farming D4 and thinking it would be nice if my pet would also be picking tuning prisms for the cube.

But then I remembered that in D2 days you had to pick up everything manually. And still it was the top 3 best gaming experiences of my life. No build guides (that I knew of), pick things up manually, get scammed by "dupers", etc.

Is it just that we are spoiled and used to these small things now?

Short story of the meaningfulness D2 had:

I was in a car being driven home by some distant relatives circa 2002. Had my first cell phone on me (Nokia 5110). Best friend calls me to say that he just got Shako. I say "Great! I will call you back". I get home and call him back, and we both freak out. Nowadays 3-4 GA mythic drops and I am like "let's see if it is useful..."

Discussion [newish player] played [diablo IV] years ago and was having a blast until I learned that my character would be reset every season, killing it for me. Should I try other games?

So I played [Diablo 4] years ago and I was having a blast.

But then I heard about eternal and seasonal realms, and how your character, if you wanted the new stuff constantly and not to be left behind, you would have to play the seasonal realms, which means your character would get reset every season, forcing you to start from scratch. That immediately killed the game for me as there’s no WAY I’m putting up with that, doing the same quests and shit over and over and over for no reason, so I haven't touched it since.

I will admit that I'm surprised to see people are still playing that game. I heard that a lot of people didn't like that aspect, not even to speak how that’s just artificial/inflated progression, playtime, and difficulty.

Now, I've never played any other Diablo game before, but I kinda want to try again. Although it seems for me Diablo 4 would be a waste of time because I'm not gonna keep playing this game every season like that, just grinding and grinding to “keep up”. I wanna be able to like chill and come back to it when I can.

Can someone give me a breakdown on each of the games? Are they all like this? Is there a favourite one that I should try out? Is this character reset thing not as bad as it seems? Etc.

Thanks!

Discussion Another Diablo Big Box Variant? Diablo: Hellfire + Diablo Shareware

After finding a Diablo II Big Box with the Soundtrack CD sticker variant last month (https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/1u0q1rm/diablo_ii_big_box_with_soundtrack_cd_sticker/) and purchasing the Diablo II Development Team sweatshirt that was shared here earlier this month (https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/1ufog0t/vintage_diablo_development_team_sweater/), later listed on eBay, and eventually bought by me, I stumbled across another Diablo big box variant last weekend that I can't find any information about online.

It's a Diablo: Hellfire big box that contains another big box: Diablo Shareware. It also includes a multi-disc jewel case containing both the Hellfire CD and the Diablo Shareware CD.

I've searched online but haven't found another example of this edition. Has anyone here seen this variant before or know anything about its history?
