Noticed these spots on my 3 months old daughter body. She didnt had this at time of birth but wondering it might be caused due to being exposed to direct sunlight ? Anyone had similar experience and would these fade away ?

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks Persistent Redness/Discoloration on Face Causing Hair Loss

I’m a mid-30s man who practices consistent skincare. I have facial hair. I first noticed that I started experiencing redness in the middle of each of my cheeks in August 2025. I thought this was just some type of dermatitis, as I’ve had that from time to time. I changed my routine to be gentler, and I stopped using beard products (i.e. beard oil). I wouldn’t describe the redness as extremely severe (it’s kind of more pink than red), but it is definitely noticeable and looks irritated.

I sort of neglected the issue for a number of months as I thought it would go away on its own. People around me told me that it may be stress. I was working a very stressful job and had other stressors in my life. I have now changed jobs and I think my life stressors have been significantly reduced.

Earlier this year, I started noticing that my redness was leading to hair loss on my cheeks. Probably at around February/March is when I really started to notice hair loss. The right side of my face has more hair loss than the left side—there is a very noticeable patch there. So I decided to get my life in order and see my dermatologist. Here’s what we’ve tried:

·         Zoryve for two weeks

·         Elidel for two months

·         Ketoderm for four weeks.

None of these are working. In between the Elidel and Ketoderm, I also tried zinc pyrithione soap and Azaleaic acid for two weeks.

In addition, I’m noticing that I’m starting to have the same phenomenon on both my left and right upper moustache area (i.e. redness and hairloss). I also have a feeling its starting in my chin a bit too, but I could be overly worried. But I’m concerned because it is July 2026 now and my issue is definitely spreading/getting worse as the hair loss was not as noticeable before as it is now.

In terms of these issues, I would say that I only have redness and hair loss. The patches are not itchy. They are not flaky. They don't hurt. What I will add is that on the right side of my face, I see a few almost whitish/discolored patches on my cheek. On my right side moustache I see a number of whitish “bumps”. Sometimes when I trim the cheek patches do get redder.

I’m trying to figure out what caused this. I thought maybe it was my facial hair trimmer but I’ve switched facial hair trimmers since then. I thought it was my beard oil but I’ve stopped using it for many months now. My skincare routine has totally changed from when this first started and I use fairly gentle/neutral stuff; thus, I’m doubtful it’s anything in my skincare routine. The last thing I would add is when I look at older photos of myself prior to when I first noticed this in August 2025, I can see little hints of the redness (probably as early as at least May 2025).

Given that this has been gradual, my patches are fairly symmetrical and given that nothing topical seems to work, based on my research I am wondering if this is some sort of autoimmune disease that needs to be managed with oral medication. I'm wondering if anyone out there has any insight. As I'm researching I'm seeing terms like scarring vs. non-scarring alopecia, lichen planopilaris, discoid lupus, tinea baraae and demodex mites...but I'm really not sure.

In terms of alopecia, I note that in 2019 I’ve actually had random patches of facial hair alopecia in the past which resolved after a few months I put minoxidil on them. Those alopecia did not have any redness or discoloration…it was literally just hairloss.

I'm getting worried that this may be permanent. I have a follow-up appointment with my dermatologist next week. Any insight on what I should be asking for/about?

legs/feet I have a concerning line on my pink toenail, and I'm unsure what it is!

It's only on my pinky toe. I'm not having any issues with the surrounding skin or any symptoms physically. It's not sensitive and it doesn't hurt or produce any pain.

I did wear some tight-fitting platform heels about a month ago, which I usually don't wear. Wore them for maybe 4-5 hours max.

No injuries or anything that I can remember. Just wanna see if anyone has any ideas? I researched for hours to see if there were any photos of something similar but all I found were vertical streaks, so I came here😅 TIA🖤

Started randomly getting red marks about 3 months ago. I thought it was insect bites at first, but they don’t itch and don’t go away. Flaking spots about 1 months ago. Big one on my leg I just saw today.

So I have a rash that, over the past year, has spread all over my body. Its red, purple spots and it itches like crazy some days. Im working with a dermatologist, but nothing has helped. It just continues to get worse. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this and has any advice. Maybe you just happen to know a doctor that takes an interest. I'm worried that I'm really sick and this rash is a sign, but it's being missed.

legs/feet M18 this is in my upper thigh, is this ringworm???

Okay, so I noticed this about 10 days ago. It started as a small bump, kind of like a pimple, and then it spread into dry, scaly skin. I thought it was ringworm, so I decided to apply clotrimazole. I’ve been treating it for 6 days now and applying clotrimazole 3 times a day.

I don’t think its ringworm, I think that thing should be flat by now because I have been treating it with clotrimazole.

I have a black dot (I dont know how to call it in english but may be a Mole) it appear like 12 years ago, I am in my 20s. It has a bump and sometimes e sort of feel a impression, I dont know how to explain it, may be its because of bad posture.

Should I concern, I m thinking on scheduling something with my family doctor.

it started as a pimple that I "played" with and it became a mole with a bump.

im concerned with the possibility of cancer

Please help! I don’t think I’ve gained a significant enough amount of weight for those to appear. I’ve been the same weight for years so it’s perplexing to see. It’s only on the right hip/thigh, not the left.

My toe skin started getting very peely like this maybe a couple months ago and I recently noticed that it has gotten quite bad to the point of almost having raw skin exposed where it is peeling. I don't know how my skin got like this and not sure what best course of action is to rectify this and prevent it from happening again.

scalp BARBER RASH GONE BAD. Doctor says it’s fungal infection but not ringworm because I’m not having hair loss

Post image

I have been dealing with this since April.
I haven’t had any medical issues of any sort prior to this
(Doctor said it was another fungal infection that I don’t remember the name of)
Anyways,
I tried a new barber and this was the result of it. I tried cortisone at first and it worked for a while. I’ll admit I did start to neglect it once I felt it got a little better. Then boom, it blew up and turned into this. Went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and got some oral antibiotics and mupirocin ointment. Things have been working well so far but I’ve noticed that although I’m using the ointment, the bumps have started to cluster a bit more on the edges of the redness and are getting BIGGER also.
I wash with antibacterial soap 2x daily and apply ointment 2x daily.

Is there anything else I can do?
Asking for help from dermatologists or anyone who has personally seen or dealt with this issue.
Please and thank you🫶🏽♥️

Hi. My boyfriend has broken out over the last 3 days in these itchy spots. We are in VT on a lake trip. They start in the shape of a scratch and then get larger over time and spread to new areas. He's trying not to scratch but that’s proving difficult. Any other possibilities than poison ivy? We’ve done all the same activities and I did not get this. Thx for your input derm experts!!!

arms/hands Peelings hands, hives, wrinkles, and moving out of my house

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to see if anyone can help me with figuring out what is going on with my hands. This began about 2 months ago. (See last picture for initial lesions) Initially they began as red spots dispersed around my hands and nowhere else. I moved from the south to the north. Once I got to the north, my palms started being covered in hives and became very itchy. I was also having tiny blisters on the borders of my fingers (less than 1mm). Then they started to peel and all the skin has slowly been peeling off. I also have it where my finger tips are constantly wrinkled. The photo I provided doesn't really show how wrinkled they usually are but it is strange.

I have had no changes in soaps or deodorants or anything abnormal like that. The only major changes is I did move from the south to the north and additionally I did get a new car that has a leather steering wheel and it did end up driving 3,000 miles.

For treatment I have been doing and eczema cream, regular lotion and a Vaseline at night. I went to my PCM and he prescribed me a steroid cream and told me to stop using the lotions. I've been on the steroid cream for 5 days now and I feel like my skin is peeling even more.

I wash my hands maybe three to five times a day when using the bathroom and use bath& body works. Soap. I drink about 80 oz of water a day. I work at a desk. Please let me know if you would need any more information and thank you for reading.

arms/hands Is this a common wart on my hand, or something else?

For the past year I've been wrestling with what I was pretty sure was a wart right in between my palm and middle finger. I've been using salicylic acid to remove the skin, and after this go-around, I was met with this circle under the patch of dead skin. Is this indicative of a common wart, or something else?

I'm 18, I've had this mole on my thigh for 4 Months now. Didn't change in size or colors, although it used to have 2 hairs coming out of it that suddenly vanished. Doesn't bleed or itch too. Should it be checked out? My parents say "it's nothing and I should stop overthinking"

Possible bite of some sort just above my belly button on the right side. It doubled in size in one to two hours. It hurts sort of itches but more than a painful type way. I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas what it might be?Should I take any antihistamines, any other OTC, put anything on it, etc.

In a world of heatwaves and capris I want to get rid and I don’t want to go down my usual spot removal routines as this is clearly not a normal one!
