Chairs Everyone says mesh is better for WFH but my back disagrees.

Everyone online acts like an ergonomic mesh office chair is some life changing experience that fixes your posture and quadruples productivity. but for WFH long hours, sitting on these things feels like sitting on a net.

If you shift off center even a bit you feel the hard plastic edges. slide forward and your thighs rest on the frame instead of the seat. there is no real pressure distribution. sometimes i just want to tuck a leg under me and on mesh you cant do it without it digging into your calf.

Not all mesh is terrible. tried a Nouhaus ergo3d in a store recently and the lumbar actually adjusted to my back instead of just feeling like a hard wall, which makes a huge difference for a mid range option.

Thinking of grabbing one online, but since this is my first Nouhaus purchase, is there anything I should specifically watch out for?

Household BEWARE: DO NOT PURCHASE Hotel Collection / Aroma 360 -(Fragrances / Diffusers)

My wife purchased a fragrance diffuser and a fragrance online. The next day she was called by a salesperson who identified himself as Hotel Collection/ Aroma 360. He began asking her questions about our home, square footage, etc. in order to try and upsell. My wife became uncomfortable with this, and firmly said that she wanted the products she ordered, and nothing more. The sales person said he'd put the order on hold until they could discuss further.

At this point, my wife loops me in, and I reach out to simply say we're not interested in any additonal products, and to please ship what we purchased. The scummy sales person, who identified himself as, Dennis, begins rattling off objections, asking me to explain my logic of not taking advantage of their deal, etc.

With nothing esle to be said, I responded:

"Sir this is a diffuser and fragrence. This isn't car sales. I don't have to explain anything to you regarding the purpose of my order. Ship what I ordered, or cancel the order. I have no obligation to discuss my residence, or any information with you."

He then says he does not have the ability to cancel on his end. The last thing I got out was:

"If this isn't resolved by the end of this call, I will have this disputed with American Express within the next 5 minutes." He responded "Thank you sir, and have a great day!" *click*

I filed a FTC complaint (reportfraud.ftc.gov). Pushy sales people are one thing, but literally holding my order hostage and saying you can't cancel it is another.

I'm still laughing at the urgency and seriousness in which this guy was trying to upsell diffuser fragrances.

Do not purchase from these companies. I'm reporting them in just about every possible way I can so that nobody else has to go through this.

What happens to unused botox units if MedSpa closes?

I'm considering buying a year's worth of Botox from my local MedSpa because they’re offering a package deal. However, it’s their only NYC location and it never seems very busy when I’m there, so I’m a little concerned about the possibility of them closing.

If I purchase the package and the MedSpa shuts down before I use all of my Botox units, what typically happens to the money I paid? Would I have any recourse, or is it just a risk with prepaid aesthetic treatments?

Has anyone experienced this with a MedSpa or similar business?

Feel free to make fun of getting botox lol

Anyone have tips for picking a good outdoor TV that actually lasts?

Hey everyone, I'm setting up a patio area and want to get a TV that can handle being outside year round. Rain, sun, dust, all that stuff. What should I actually look for? Is weatherproofing as good as they claim or do they still need covers?

Any experiences with glare in bright daylight or how the picture holds up over time? Budget is around $800-1200. I'm looking at the ByteFree BF-55ODTV right now since it checks a lot of boxes (1500 nits, Dolby Vision/Atmos, Google TV, IP55). Would love real user feedback, thanks!

Household trying to build an unwind spot in a tiny living room without it looking like a spaceship landed

my living room is pretty cramped and i’m desperately trying to decide between getting a decent massage chair or just sticking to a regular recliner.

i just want a comfortable spot to come home and decompress for like 20 minutes after sitting at my desk all day. a regular recliner seems like the safer, simpler choice. it actually fits the room and i know i'll sit in it every day. but every time my back aches, the thought of a massage chair pulls me right back in.

my main issue is that most of them look like massive, ugly plastic pods. what’s more, they are completely devoid of any aesthetic appeal;plus, half the people i’ve talked to said theirs eventually just became an expensive coat rack to throw laundry on.

i did see some of those mid-range modern ones online—like the nouhaus classic—that look more like normal furniture, judging from the images on the official website, it perfectly fits the minimalist, high-end and sophisticated vibe.and have a way smaller footprint. but since i can't test one locally, i'm skeptical. does a slim-profile chair actually give a decent massage, or are they just glorified vibrations?

idk if i should just get a comfortable la-z-boy, strap a shiatsu pad to it, and call it a day, or actually risk the space for something with built-in rollers.
