So I made a post on here that brought to light my GM making employees who were seen on cash register pay out of pocket for the shortage. I talked to various employees and they said she does this all the time for shortages and expects anyone who touched cash to split the difference and pay. I talked to HR they didn’t find company policy that states employees are required to do so therefore they moved my case up the highest it can go. I don’t know what this means like is my GM doing something sketchy or there’s no clear answer to this situation? Either way today register was short 20 bucks and me and my coworker were on so we had to split it. She paid in full cause I don’t have cash so I felt bad and Apple cashed her my part. Furthermore I paid only 4 dollars for the 13 I was short on last week that I was only given notice on this week about the issue. I would really like to know the extent of this situation like with other chipotle restaurant do they expect their employees to do this? Also I dunno why our cash register has been short recently between the 20-30 dollar range it’s also kinda suspicious…

First time getting stabbed in the throat with a giant shard of chicken bone from the honey chipotle chicken. Almost had to give myself the Heimlich over one of the chipotle wooden chairs. An above average bowl otherwise!

my location was serving expired meat and treating the non spanish speakers terribly. they would often curse them out or talk shit about them in spanish and those people didnt understand. the manager would also make me do her work and sit in the office on her phone closing time which made me have to leave at 1 in the morning. I worked the line it doesn’t take that long.

Feel free to flame me as I'm clearly not that great of an employee but I need some advice. I've been working at chipotle for two months; I'm a pretty mediocre employee but I work 35 hours per week. The past two weeks have been some disaster weeks, however. Last week, I had two really heavy boxes fall on my shoulder during a rush that caused a lot of pain (I waited until the rush was over to leave) and then today, I fainted in front of my coworker at work after telling people I felt lightheaded so they made me go home. I'm going to be honest that it was probably caused by my restrictive eating disorder but I didn't have the heart to say anything so I just left. The day earlier, I was told by my doctors that my heartbeat is alarmingly low at 45bpm and I'm getting scared that my health is going sideways but I'm scared if I go into treatment, I'll get fired as I'll lose my job and I don't want to be seen as unreliable and unstable. I guess I would just like to know what's the best case scenario.

Ex kitchen manager here (worked around 2008). My daughter recently started working at Chipotle, started on grill. She said she was taught by store management to cook backup pans of chicken (not cut until needed) amd store in the altosham until needed. Is that spec for busier stores?? Pretty sure I would have been fired at my old store if caught doing that. Freshness /quality aside, I can only imagine what that does to food cost. Protein shrinks when stored in an altosham.

I’m heading back to college soon and was wondering how people usually handle this with their job. I’d like to come back and work during the breaks I have instead of quitting completely. Has anyone asked their manager to take them off the schedule while they’re away at school and then put them back on during breaks? If so, how did you bring it up?

Huge L and missed opportunity to not sell corn in a cup. Like, why is it a salsa type topping?

Been working at my Chipotle for around a month now, and all that I've been scheduled to do so far is line up in the front, "specializing" on the tortilla side. Just out of curiosity, were y'all trained for multiple positions? Some of the other people who were newly hired with me got to make the chips, etc., and help prep some food except for me. I've been told that I'm pretty good at my position too, so is this just a manager preference? I'm also am on the smaller side and under 5'0 in stature, so maybe that explains why I don't get trained to do more heavy-lifting positions? Obviously, I'm not complaining, but I'm just wondering if I'd eventually be trained for other positions too or if some Chipotles hire someone for one crew position/specialty and have them work just there longterm.

Blessings to the GOAT that saw the order name and knew the assignment.
White rice, black beans, chicken, extra veg, extra mild, extra corn, extra hot, cheese.
Over 2 pounds. I hope the workers involved in creating this absolute beast have a great week.

p.s. chipotle holds its stores to higher standards than laws dictate. for good reason, they are well versed in dealing with food borne illness, and do a lot to ensure no repeat of past events. i work here, i eat here. i trust their safety precautions. but make your own decisions based on facts.

Today is my 2nd day of training for prep but when I wash the dishes my glasses started to fog n it delays me a bit. How should I position myself? What can I do to make it happen less?

Why do I continue to go to shit-potle?
Stopped by tonight cause it’s quick and ordered 3 soft tacos just honey chicken and cheese. Employee split among one of the tacos a 1/4th spoon of chicken resulting in one taco have 2 pieces. I asked for some more for that one taco. Employee said (direct quote) “that’s the best I can do”. wtf. I said, well you could take the spoon and take more out of the bin and put it in the taco. He said “I can redistribute”. Proceeded to take 2 more pieces out of the bin and said again “that’s the best I can do”. Fuck you. Another employee even told him “it is one spoon per taco not split” to which he ignored her and wrapped my tacos.
Seriously. It’s bad enough the smart ass response but to think if this were an online order he would think that is acceptable??? Why is this company still in business. Never again. I did reach out via the corporate contact us but this location needs to shut down.

I applied to my local chipotle a few weeks ago. And every time they send an interview time and for me to confirm I do it and times are already taken. The first two times I was about 5-10 minutes late so figured that was on me. These last two times I saw the message right away and responded within that minute and there were 3 times. I confirmed and all of them were taken. I had called the store to see if I could set up something and they told me everything was done online and they can't do anything. I'm honestly considering just showing up at one of the times and days they had sent and acting like I have an interview.. I've heard from friends that they have gone and sometimes the manager wasn't there or sometimes they're were multiple people and they were hired. And since it's kinda known that the automatic interview process is glitchy they probably won't look into it that much? Idk what should my next move be?
