Sincere thank you for speaking on behalf of the those of us who cannot make these meetings due to juggling work and family. We appreciate you standing up for the community and making sure that our voice is heard. It is time that we consider all sides of this equation including the tax-paying families and businesses in this city and not just those who yell the loudest.

Does anyone know a place where I can vacuum my car out? I saw there was a post from 3 years ago on here about this but wanted some updated information. I looked at the local car wash sites but cannot seem to find if they have a self-service vacuum

Hey gang, new resident here. I have 7-10 bags of landscaping waste and a growing pile of unbagged debris from the last storm, but I don’t have a vehicle big enough to get this stuff to the Ivy recycle place. All of the local junk removal options I found online are crazy expensive… really just looking for someone with a pickup truck who wants to make a few bucks. Any recommendations?

Per owner’s post on FB/IG, their last day of business will be 7/31. I wonder what will go there next? A couple of local favorites (Al Carbon and Guajiro’s) started in that little space.

We are headed to UVA for some follow ups for our daughter (9) and want to treat her a little afterwards. We are already committed to Shenanigans since that’s become a tradition when we need to go to UVA.

Has anyone used Bright Horizons for drop-in daycare? I have a child under 1 whose daycare is closed 6 weeks out of the year & Bright Horizons is supplemented by my job, but I feel like I've read mixed reviews online.
