Papa Murphys Kildaire Farm Rd

Does anyone have the scoop on why this location closed? We went by last night and the location was all taped up with a closed sign! We will miss this place as we’ve gotten pizza from there for 10+ years!

Have you seen my cat?

I haven't seen my cat, Smudge, for over 24 hours. Not sure if she slipped out while the front door was open or what. I live near the intersection of Dynasty and Evans.

She's very skittish and will probably bolt if you approach. She doesn't go outside alone, so she's not exactly street smart. Please message me if you see her!

Duke Energy wanted an 18% rate increase on families. We pushed back, now they want 9.5%. Still too high. No deal. - AG Jeff Jackson

Walmart driver damaged car

Walmart delivery driver pulled up on our driveway, and while backing out hit our car pretty hard. Caught it all on camera. The driver then went on to provide a fake name and fake insurance. Of course, Walmart would take no responsibility and a police report was filed. But Walmart won’t provide insurance of the driver. What gives and who do we reach out to?

Planning a party for a 4yo. Is over the moon appropriate for that age?
Any other indoor spots worth noting for a 4yo?

What mosquito solutions actually work?

I have mosquito dunks but outside is still intolerable can't be outside more than 5 minutes without being bit.

What have you tried that's actually helped?

Gnats have taken over…

Inside. Outside. These tiny MFs are EVERYWHERE! I especially appreciate their need to fly in front of my face and computer screens during work meetings!

How are you guys dealing with them? They seem to be ignoring my plug-in traps completely. Tried the Apple-cider vinegar trap things too and they have no interest. HELP!

⚠️ Frustrated with the outages?

Hey all,
We just had our second major power outage in this week. This time it left more than 2000 people without AC or power in scorching NC heat.

Duke Energy's system officially cited this as an "equipment failure". They happily increase their prices but we hear crickets when it comes to updating their grid. It is unacceptable. I'm tired of duke energy and their shady practices.

If you are as tired of this as I am, please take 5 minutes to file complaints with the state agencies that actually regulate Duke Energy. The more of us who get this on the official state record, the harder it is for them to justify rate hikes for a failing grid.

  1. Complain to the NC Attorney General:
The AG’s office is actively fighting Duke’s proposed rate hikes and is tracking consumer harm.
To File online: Go to ncdoj.gov/file-a-complaint
    or call them:1-877-5-NO-SCAM (1-877-566-7226)

  2. Complain to the NC Utilities Commission (NC
    Public Staff):
    File online: Go to publicstaff.nc.gov/submit-complaint
    Or Call them directly: 1-866-380-9816

The Town of Cary paid *checks notes* $62,828 for this 10 minute video.

They paid PBS Frontline’s Will Lyman $10k to narrate it. This was only to be used internally mind you.....and it also isn't even entertaining like the Dancing Queens one. Say it with me, Out. Of. Touch.

It looked like the whole Cary PD was on Maynard with their lights flashing just west of the intersection with Kilmayne this morning. Anyone know what was going on?

Nike in Fenton now closed

Sign popped up on the door today. Certainly doesn’t seem like this is a temporary thing. A little googling tells me Nike may be closing several locations around the country. Tough break for Fenton. Hopefully something good moves into the spot.

La Grassa Pastifico Closed 😢

I can’t believe it! It looks like it just happened about four days ago and then when I looked further, the chef owner was in a terrible accident. He has a GoFundMe here. What a shame! It was such a delicious spot with great staff and really good food.
