My basic little setup for my limited space ๐Ÿ˜‡

Post image
128 Upvotes

It's pretty basic but I'm happy! ๐Ÿ˜‡ I have very limited space so I won't be adding anything else and also no I'm not wanting to get an external keyboard as I am perfectly fine using the laptop keys personally.

I have a huge love for Clefairy and Jiggly(Clefairy especially!). Most of the stuff I got from Amazon, The Pokemon Center, and from Japan Official merch websites. I love making my inner child happy! Since getting my Legion I have way too many games on my wishlist lol but currently trying my hand at FFXIV.

Getting a PC end of year, almost time to day goodbye

Post image

Setups been with me for around 4 years now, only the occasional replacements of things that break.

But man the 1050ti in my laptop is getting old, and college is close to home anyways so I'll definitely be getting a pc next rather than another laptop.

It'll probably be very similar when i get a desktop, I'll keep the laptop on the arm just as a secondary thing and add another monitor for a triple monitor setup

Note: to switch to work mode, just remove the personal macbook and connect usb-c cable (dongle with power pass-trough) to work laptop.

Current couch setup - The Helios 300 is running the Samsung to the left, the TV in the background has it's own attached rig.

The Acer Predator is a Helios 300 that I upgraded to 32GB of DDR4-2666, swapped out the NVME for a Samsung Evo 512GB and added in a 1TB SATA WD SSD. The rig running the TV is my old-ish HTPC - AMD Athlon 870K on an ASUS board with 32 GB of DDR3-1866 + an AMD RX 6400 4GB and 1TB of SATA SSD space. Both units are currently running Arch, the Helios is running XFCE/XFWM on top, and the HTPC is running DankMaterialShell on top of Niri.

My humble gaming & entertainment setup

I've always admired the high-end setups here and in r/battlestations (can't post there since I don't have a seperate monitor) and was extremely apprehensive to post since my setup is extremely basic, but it's brought me a lot of joy for a 400sqft apartment at an affordable investment.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with 8TB of external HDDs. This is primarily used for Cyberpunk 2077, Sims 4, Injustice 2, Forza Horizon 5, GTA IV & V, Empire Earth, Injustice 2. Also got vintage games like Tekken 4 and the original WWE SmackDown vs Raw running on a PS2 emulator. The setup is also multitasking to run as my home media server using Jellyfin.

The Apple TV is connected via ethernet, then to the Acer 55 inch 4k LED TV via HDMI 2.1 and then HDMI e-arc to the JBL Cinema SB190. Laptop is also connected directly via ethernet to my router. I also have an HDMI 2.0 running directly from the laptop to TV whenever I want to work on a big screen.

The laptop also uses my Harmony Kardon HK206 speakers which came with our Dell PC in 2001. These are connected through my Fiio KA13 DAC. I use foobar2000, bypassing windows to pass bitperfect audio directly through the DAC. I got a decent collection of around 2600 songs as hi-res FLACs and DSDs.

Lastly, as you can see on the side of my laptop, when I don't want to disturb my wife, I use my Truthear x Crinacle Zero Blue 2 with balanced cables, connected to the same Fiio DAC.

My setup is mostly constrained by space since we live in an apartment in Mumbai, but I'm hoping to eventually upgrade when I move to a bigger space and have more money to sink into this.
