So as of last night, my one week old textured PEI plate is apparently filament repellant. It was working stupendously as per usual, then I washed it very well, and returned it to my machine, and only AFTER that did it become a problem. I'm using the plate in the slicer (Orca) and have changed nothing since it last ran flawlessly. Please help, i'm about to start ripping all my hair out and I fear that will be much harder to dislodge than my prints.

I thought the 0.2mm nozzle was supposed to print slower and in finer detail, but it seems to be printing much faster and messing up on a lot of the layers. Is there a setting that I can mess with?

I tried tightening the screws behind the heating element but nothing happened.

The last week or two I've had several prints that were interrupted by the AI monitoring for problems that didn't exist. Most common is the nozzle clumping. Nothing there. The nozzle is clean. Air printing comes up a bit too. Again, nothing's wrong. Purge chute full. No it's not.

I've turned of the AI monitoring for now and the same prints are running fine. Am I the only one having these issues or are other experiencing this too?

I just got this printer and have printed maybe under 100 hours

Currently using sunlu pla+ 2.0.

I’m wondering what may have caused the beige PLA to grab some of the yellow on this print.

I haven’t moved any settings, just inputted generic PLA for the sunlu filament. Still learning 3D printing. Any help would be appreciated!

Yesterday I’ve send my A1 Mini a print while I was at work and when I looked at my printer that’s what I saw(pic 1).

Today I tried to clean all the mess and this is how it looks now. I didn’t reassemble and test it yet because I might buy a new hotend heater kit. Do you guys think that I need a new one or can I continue with this.

Can someone tell me if this is normal for the Bambu Lab A1? It seems like it's shedding. I've had it for a week

Hi everyone! I printed a calibration cube with eSun ABS+ on a Bambu textured PEI plate. Looking at the bottom of the printed cube, I noticed some material is missing: basically, the very first layer fused into the plate's texture and stayed behind (the light ghosting mark in the photo). The PEI coating is not damaged; it’s just plastic trapped in the texture.

As of right now, I have never cleaned the build plate since I got it. A friend advised me to strictly avoid touching the surface with my bare fingers to prevent leaving oils and ruining future print adhesion, so I've been extremely careful.

I am thinking about using 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) with a microfiber cloth to clean it. Do you think this will help lift or dissolve this thin ABS film, or will it make it worse? What is the best way to get it out of the textured crevices without damaging the plate?

I have my P1S since Novembre. Worked like a charm the first few months. Then I printed nearly 24/7 on February due to needing some projects with larger prints.

After this, the P1S seems to make errors. It looks like he slips up and doesnt match the path from before - especially for longer prints.

I thought - good he ran for like for months, one of it nearly 24/7. Time to clean him.

Unfortunately the issue stayed after cleaning (cleaned Up the bed, cleaned X,Y,Z axis, lubed z-axis again, checked and disassambled and assambled the Extruder).

So I have been thinking about getting a 3d printer and yesterday bit the bullet and got the p2s.
I ordered some filament, its Sunlu PLA brand. (I didnt realize the bambu brand would be auto detected, but its what I got for now.)
I failed to recognize the spool sizes so only one fits in the AMS. That's fine Ive seen some spool accessories you can print to make them fit, but it left me with just a clear filament to do my first test with which also makes it more difficult to see what the model is supposed to actually be.

I scrolled through some of the options provided from bambu and just picked a Warhammer mech and printed. The thing is it looks like its got tree Roots coming out of the ground and encompassing it. I figured it was the printer creating supports for it, but they are all over it and some so thick i think id break the model trying to get them off, if not my fingers in the process.

I've tried to google my problem, but my googlefu is weak and i can't find much info similar to my issue. Looking for some friendly beginner advice.

I was doing my third ever print which is a two coloured articulated snake thing which was going well for the first nine hours but when I woke up this morning to go and check I got this error. I can’t seem to stop anything and restart checked and there is filament going through as far as I can see. The AMS and external sport worked fine yesterday printing a two coloured panda. Everything I try just results in the same message popping up again. It also says you can’t swap extruder as ones in use. I have dyslexia and so things do take me awhile and I tend to panic if things don’t go well when I can’t see a way of making things work. I recheck that I have set the back of the printer up with the AMS and as I said yesterday, it printed a grey and white panda which is articulated using the grey from the external spool. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I added another "alternate use of a wind-up walker" model, this time a chewing skeleton for halloween, which is months away. I made the skeleton in Nomad Sculpt and the rest in Fusion.

Hello. I have been using my A1 with Kingroon petg for a year. All of a sudden the filament get stuck really good. I put the plate in the freezer and still can't get it all off. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi. As the title says, I'm looking to purchase my first 3D printer. I did find some similar posts but still wanted to be sure since getting stuff delivered to where I live is not easy.

I'm also looking to get mostly matte filament. Is that okay? Do I need more filament? Thanks in advance.

I’ve been thinking about getting a 3D printer for a long time, but I currently don’t have the money for one. I’ve seen people get 3D printers for free (besides tax) through the Bambu points system, and I’m wondering how someone without a 3D printer can start down that path.

I know I can create models and upload them, but how do I get real world pictures of my designs if I can’t actually print them myself?

Or are there any other things I could do?

so i accidently turned the triangle screw by mistake trying to push the screw in with my dad's hex screw set. i only turned it by one notch, and terrified i accidentally made the bambu labs a1 printer i own worse. im awating further instruction from bambu labs tech support but im terrifed.

Hello guys this is my very first 3d printer, it was running totally smoothly, but straight after my print slipped off the plate halfway, even though i cleaned the plate before hand, another disaster struck! The z axis just gets stuck at the top when it auto homes, and starts making this freaky grinding noise.... feeling totally disheartened, does anybody know what the issue might be?

Right before a print starts, the printer makes these two loud vibrating crescendos. The head is positioned above the center of the bed at this point. I’m just curious what this is for.

Anyone update yet and is it stable? I was going to test it on one of my machines but wanted to see if anyone has yet.

I got the H2C not long ago. Works great. Doing way more multi-color printing, which is fun.

I'm currently working on a multi-color version of one of my more popular models on MakerWorld. It's only two colors, so I'd just use left and right nozzles in this case.

The prime tower is obviously serving a function for nozzle pressure and oozing, and purging in single nozzle set up. But I have to wonder if it's only two colors, purging isn't an issue, and they're switching back and forth frequently on each layer, how much does the prime tower actually improve results. In my current model, it's going to spend nearly two hours on the prime tower alone.

So, I'm curious, under what circumstances are you ditching the prime tower?
