Hi guys,

The infamous problem again. Normally i disconnect the dock from all the power and eventually it syncs again and charges the headset.

This time NOTHING seems to work... I tried:

• Charging the headset with a powercord;
• Uninstalling and installing Astro Command Center;
• Updating firmware (can't because it's not connected);
• Hard reset (dolby + game);
• Reset the dock with a needle underneath;
• Connecting with Playstation;
• Tried downloading Logitech G Hub instead, however it won't recognize my Astro's
• Leaving it on the dock for longer time.

The only details i can give are

• the power buttom lights up when hardresetting it;
• when trying the firmware, the first battery LED light up red then white and so forth;
• when trying the firmware, the power button lights up white then orange and so forth;

I really thing i've tried everything there is, but nothing helps. If someone has the golden nugget, please help a gamer out! Need to get back on that Black Ops 2 before the hackers take over.

Hey guys, I recently purchased an A50 gen 5 to replace my old hyperx headphones. Off of the first use I’ve been plagued with disconnection issues that I have no clear solution for. After I use the A50s for about 20 minutes the audio and microphone will cut out. My laptop’s audio setting will still show that it is connected but I can’t hear and speak. If I disconnect it and reconnect it I bricks my other input devices like my wired keyboard/mouse and even disconnects my laptops keyboard which only leaves my trackpad connected. Alternatively, if I leave it plugged in my input devices last longer but they still eventually brick themselves. To fix this I need to restart my laptop but the 20 minute disconnect still happens on the next startup. Occasionally if I don’t touch it after it disconnects it might fix itself and I can use it for hours but that very rarely happens. I’m not really sure what is happening and have already troubleshooted with Logitech which we determined it is a laptop specific issue as it worked fine on an old desktop I have for ~30 mins. I have a 2024 zephyrus g16 laptop if that helps narrow it down. If anybody is familiar with this issue and has any advice please let me know, I don’t want to have to go through the whole refund process. Some extra stuff too, I have done some random troubleshooting like turning off my laptop from limiting power to the headset base but that didn’t help either.

Ok this started months ago (skip to second paragraph if you wanna hear the actual issues lmao) when I was in a marvel rivals game in celestial 2 and ran into a crazy punisher, I was on daredevil diving and I was on this specific part of the New York map where there was an off angle, that punisher wouldn’t move from that off angle I was trying to go through. He had his eyes on my location but the second I actually moved the dude was hyper locked onto me, almost as if he was cheating and I picked up on that instantly, long story short I lost that game and accused him of hacking in match chat cuz I mean no one has aim or hearing that good, he told me nah it was js the a50s he was wearing so fast forward a couple months to today and I get them

Now here’s the issue, I went through the YouTube setup guide and I did the stuff right, in game the audio is horrid, I can hear things perfectly fine but when it comes to hearing what direction it’s coming from, it js ain’t there at all, so I changed my output from Astro a50 game and Astro a50 voice and I could pinpoint almost exactly where anything was, my question is is this intentional or did I do something wrong cuz it feels kinda weird to have the a50 voice give way better audio clarity than the a50 game
(Also if anyone has any good eq settings to make my stuff sound not as…idk cave-y id appreciate that a lot)

As the title above, i'm totally new to Astro universe. I just ordered the A20 2nd Gen. Compared to newer models, generations. Is it still a decent choice for gaming? If so, how was the sound quality, reliability?

Probably sound idiotic here, but recently my in game chat stopped working on my PC for games like Dayz and squad and siege. I have the A50 gen 4. Discord can still hear me and I can hear them. I can hear my in game chat but they can’t hear me. I’ve made sure my input and outputs are correct on my pc. I do use push to talk for in game setting which I’ve confirmed still is selected and the button I used originally. Any pointers is appreciated to help fix this.

The whole headphone works, I can hear games - but today I tried playing with a friend and only the mic on my controller worked and I can’t change “input device” to my headset. I’ve tried resetting them - plugging them into the computer to check for updates (there were none).

So like I don't know what's happening. It works, but just every once in a while, it turns off. And I turn it back on again by just turning my tv off, and then on. but it's frustrating having todo it. I'm not sure why it randomly turns off

Today I connected my a50x headset to my pc and while playing Minecraft I wanted to listen to the Minecraft soundtrack on Spotify. When I play Spotify it completely drowns out the sounds of the game and when I pause the music Minecraft is very low volume. Where do I go to adjust the sounds so they are a little bit balanced but Spotify being a little louder.

First time Astro user. Saw them on eBay for a good price for a refurbished pair and bought them. I was skeptical after seeing a bad experience on the forum, but I had already purchased. Nonetheless they arrived today and I’m completely blown again. They are in excellent condition from what I can tell, set up was a bit tricky but got them working with my PS5 after a couple videos. Been playing for a couple hours and they are amazing in chat and game audio. Overall I’m really satisfied with my my purchase.

I've tried everything: reset, update, but when it gets to 79% it freezes and never gets past that point, even doing the trick of pressing DLby + game, nothing works!!

Hello, I am trying to make an eq for the Logitec Astro A50 Gen 5, that is for cinamtic games, music and movie, something that priotizes sound quality and punchy bass.

I am not really good at this sort of thing, I need some help. I am using dolby acces on xbox, but my custom there is flat i only have surround vietualizer on. On The GHub eq I have these stats:

20 Hz +6.0

50 Hz +5.5

125 Hz +5.0

250 Hz +1.0

500 Hz 0.0

1000 Hz +0.5

2500 Hz +1.5

5000 HZ - +2.0

10000 Hz +1.5

20000 Hz + 0.5

I like this one but feel like it could be better.

What should I do to improve?

1 Month ago i got a replacement for my a50 due right side had lower volume with no fix.
Since than every otherday i need hardware reset because i dont get sound on pc eventhough it seems connected. after restart of a50 gets stuck on Xbox and switch button doesnt work. I read that some people have the same issue but there where no solution given.
Does any of you know how this problem can be solved?
otherwise I'll ask another replacement.
Have firmware 1.3.24 and says its latest.

I travel a lot for work and used to just have dedicated headsets with my Turtles, but more expensive to do with A50Xs. Can I buy a used A50 dock and leave it in my bag so all I have to do is throw the A50Xs in their case and resync to the other dock with my laptop? Appreciate it!

Hey Reddit, I have finally found out what has been causing the crashes on my PC. Not a long time ago, I bought new headphones, "Astro A50 X Lightspeed", and everything was fantastic for a time. But after some time, I started experiencing crashes, and my PC would just randomly restart itself. I was so confused since I just built my PC, and every part was brand new from Best Buy. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that my PC started crashing or froze whenever I was away from my setup. Whenever I left my setup, I used to turn off my monitor and put the headphones on the charging dock, so I could never really understand what had been happening to my computer all this time. I tried to track this problem through Windows Event Viewer, made a bunch of adjustments, and it looked like the problem started to disappear. But no, my PC continued to crash, and after a couple of months I happened to see that whenever I put my headphones on the charging dock, my PC would restart, at first I didn't give it much of a thought, but now I finally realised that it has been them that have been crashing my PC this whole time and stressing me out.

Are there any solutions for this problem, or is there a specific thing that causes this crashing? If anyone has any solutions to the problem, I would appreciate it very much.

So I updated my Astro A50X couple months ago to the latest firmware (of course before I saw all the posts telling to not update it). And well I got the dreaded only 3 lights on the base station problem. I have tried every possible fix that I can find online but nothing seems to work. First I factory reset in the g-hub software then I factory reset on the headset itself and then I unplugged the base station for 30 seconds to reset it, but non worked of course. Then I let the headset fully discharge multiple times and recharged it to a 100% according to the Logitech g-hub software and the base station lights were also not blinking anymore. And of course that did also not work. So I am asking the wise people of the internet what else can I do to fix this. I love this headset, but this is annoying me like crazy. I do not understand how this has not been fixed in 2 years since this update has come out. This is still there most expensive and most high-end headset and as I was searching online this is a pretty common problem as I can see it.

I am about to pick up an Astro A50X for my Xbox. I was wondering about what cable length I should use. It’s recommended 3-10 ft for signal fidelity. If I use the official Xbox cable which is 6.5 feet from the Xbox to the base station, is it ok if I use a 5 or 6ft cable as well from the base station to the TV? That’s a total of 11-12 ft of cable. I’m not sure if there is signal degradation since there is a base station in between the lengths. Can anyone please assist me? Thanks in advance.

My a40s mute inline cable broke. Is there another way I can use the A40s? I use my skull candy aux cord, but sound comes out of 1 ear.

I’m sorry if this has already been discussed in here many times that I’m not aware of, however if posting one more time prevents people from buying this piece of junk then it’s worth it.

As the title says, the c40 controller is an utter piece of garbage. I wish I read the reviews because this thing did not work from the very first day I bought it and Logitech refuses to exchange it for a working one. I bought this with a new headset and shortly after my pc took a dump and needed to be repaired. Once fixed, I tried charging this thing and it won’t even hold a charge or turn on. Since I waited a little while after purchasing it, it’s now outside their warranty period.

Total bs and god awful quality control over there. Looking at the reviews, this product seems to be a lemon a vast majority of the time and the fact that they will not even exchange it for a new one is total crap. Don’t support this type of company

I ordered a refurbished A50 X directly from Logitech on eBay as they had a promo going and it was $200 out the door after tax. What I received was a poorly packaged headset with black base station and a black headband insert. Even at a price point of $200, I’m pretty disappointed. I currently have an A50 Gen 4 and was pretty excited for the upgrade and 4k@120 HDMI switching since my AVR only has a single 4k@120 port.

For those who have ordered a refurb from eBay before, is this a normal experience? I’d still be interested in ordering again and saving $200 from a new headset if this is a one-off experience.

EDIT: I messaged Logitech on eBay to ask if there was any way to swap for a white base station but they told me to kick rocks. [Return is the only option]

I ordered some white ear pads and headband from wicked cushions so at least the headset will match the aesthetic I was going for. I’ll take this as a lesson learned on ordering refurbished and after owning (2) A50 Gen 4 and now an A50 X, I will no longer buy from Logitech based purely upon the poor customer service and quality control.

Anyone having issues with PlayStations never recognizing the source through the a50x? I have to unplug and plug in the HDMI cable in the back of my PlayStation and then I’ll get video and audio on the tv and through the headset. No issues with the Xbox however only the PlayStation. It’s getting annoying. And yes I bought the most expensive ultra HDMI cable from Best Buy and it’s still having issues.

So I recently got a new Astro A50X headset in January because my last A50’s gave out after about 7-8 years and I really got my moneys worth and enjoyed them so I figured why not go back.

I’m in a discord with my friends pretty consistently and they constantly tell me that I’m “cutting out” yet I have no idea why I have everything plugged in correctly to both my PC and Xbox and I’ve gone on to the app on my PC made sure the firmware is good I’ve tried adjusting some of the settings and even restoring it to default yet I’m still cutting out and after trying everything I can think of in at a loss and kinda disappointed this is happening.

For some reason when I’m using the dock as pass through I cannot set vrr to on with series x. I unplug from the dock and plug just the hdmi from my Xbox to my monitor it lets me turn it on? What gives why is it doing that? Is my dock broken? Both my HDMI are 4k 120 capable. I might not use the pass through then if this is how it’s going to work. Idk why it wouldn’t work here but on my moms shitty 4k tv it works fine

Hello everyone im currently using stealthz pads on my gen5 , i like all Gadgetrytech eqs from the community , but when it gets noisy i use the freeze pads but its not as good as the stealthz in terms of sound comfort i tried couple of eqs including Gadgetrytech one and was a bit harsh , so any suggestions of eqs that you tried if you don't mind please , and thank you .
