Question For Doctors Injured myself on Hack Squat
Hi. I have no insurance, living in USA. I am scared to death. I was training yesterday, and I did barbell squats followed by hack squats. I was doing tempo (4 Second descent) with only 3 plates, and I had to rack it early due to a sharp pain shooting up what felt like my spine. I was bracing pretty hard so i’m hoping it’s just I was bracing too hard and pulled something. I finished the workout with some isolation/accessory movements so that made me feel better that I could still walk/bend a bit. At the time it was painful to bend down.
I went to sleep, kinda hurt to breathe deeply in a few positions but laying directly on my stomach worked. Today I woke up, feels a bit worse. I have what feels like a soreness under my shoulder blades. Definitely feel it when I depress my shoulders, or brace hard. Twisting motion brings out the pain a ton. I thought it may have been a slipped or herniated disc but idk, i don’t have pain radiating to my leg like the sites say. i think It could just be my rib ? I sent my info to google (I know I know) and it says these are possible diagnoses
a rib joint or intercostal muscle strain, an oblique or lower back muscle tear,
I can lean to my left with no pain; but to my right I feel 5/10 pain when coming back up.
I really feel pain when I sit and lean slightly forward, or just trying to put my chin to my chest. It feels like a slight spasm to my body. Also in bed when I am laying on my stomach, and try to get up. I feel a lot of pain when i’m on my back and move my head forward . I hope it’s not nerve damage. I’m glad it’s not paralysis. .
what do i even do? i can’t afford a scan … fuck my life
I am not asking for medical advice.
After some quick google searches; It seems like it’s my quadratic lumborum. It’s in the exact spot and it has the same symptoms, bending twisting turning.
