I’m watching Dusk Beyond the End of the World on HiDive and its quality and performances feel as though they’re all over the place.

Generally I believe the Sentai team does decent dubs. I very much adored ADV Films back in the day so I admit I’m biased in that regard. However, every now and then I seem to run into a title on HiDive that’s either outright awful or is unpredictable in whether the translation, direction, and performance are going to good in any particular episode.

Has anyone else noticed this? If so, any ideas as to why the quality can be so random?

Jungle King TarChan is a shonen anime from the 90s created by Masaya Tokuhiro. It's basically a parody of Edgar Rice Burroghs' Tarzan of the Apes.

Seems the dub calendar hasn't been updated in months, is it being abandoned? I greatly appreciate the effort in maintaing it, I use it with a calendar widget on my phone all the time to check when my shows air.

The only change in the cast is Eric Vale as Chris, replacing Aaron Dismuke for good (Eric was already a stand-in for Aaron for a few episodes in Season 1).

Just finished the first episode and I just wanna clear something up. That final scene with Apollo talking, that was a live broadcast from her? Cause they went black and white and showed flashbacks and all 4 of the girls were still talking in the broadcast room then. So I’m just a bit confused if it was real, or a memory/hallucination or something. Please no spoilers either.
