Need some advice.
I gave birth at a well-known maternity hospital here in May. After discharge, I was in severe pain and couldnโt sit or walk properly. A few days later, we discovered that gauze had been left inside me after delivery, so I had to return to the hospital for further treatment.
Itโs been almost two months, Iโm still spotting, and the whole experience has taken a huge mental toll on me. I raised a complaint at the end of May, but only recently received an apology.
Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation here? What options did you have, and was it worth escalating the matter to officials ?

Hi everyone,
I recently completed my Australian EMT (AREMT) certification and also hold BLS, ACLS, and PHTLS certifications.
Iโm now trying to find out how to get the clinical hours or internship required to move forward with EMT licensing and gain hands-on experience in the UAE.
Iโm hoping someone who has gone through this process can help answer a few questions:
How did you get your clinical hours?
Which hospitals, ambulance services, or training centers accept EMT graduates?
Is there an official internship program, or do I need to apply directly to hospitals?
Are there any organizations in the UAE that provide clinical placements for EMTs?
If youโve been through this process or know someone who has, Iโd really appreciate your advice. Any recommendations or contacts would be a huge help.

Iโm building a list of Abu Dhabiโs absolute best food spots. Iโm not looking for just โgoodโ places. I want the ones that truly stand out, whether itโs because of the food, coffee, pastries, desserts, views, atmosphere, architecture, or overall experience.
If you have a recommendation, please share:
What to order
Why itโs special
Whether itโs worth the price
Hidden gems are especially welcome!

I am a landlord with a 2bhk rented apartment in al reef. i have already given the notice to my tenant for eviction well before the 2 month timeline. However, I don't really have a good relationship with the tenant and we aren't on cordial terms. I had a few questions:
1) what are my responsibilities as the landlord (legal and otherwise) apart from the 2 month notice (which i have already given) before we can proceed for the tenant to leave the house and cancellation of tawtheeq?
2) what are my options if the tenant does not evict on time?
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Iโm moving from Dubai to Abu Dhabi this weekend for new work and am looking for a place to stay.
My office is around the Yas Mall area, but I would prefer not to live directly on Yas Island as I assume it may be more expensive. Ideally, Iโm looking for somewhere within around a 10โ15 minute drive of my office.
Iโm open to the following options:
Studio apartment
1BHK apartment
Monthly hotel apartment
Monthly rental unit / serviced apartment
Budget: Around AED 50,000 per year (or an equivalent monthly arrangement). Iโm currently paying close to AED 45,000 in Dubai, including utilities, electricity, internet, etc., so Iโm hoping to find something of similar or better value in Abu Dhabi.
A little about me: Iโm a single working professional/executive working for a good multinational company. I have my own car, so dedicated parking is essential.
I would also really appreciate a community-oriented place where itโs possible to meet people, make friends, hang out, network, and enjoy life outside of work. A gym and swimming pool would be a bonus, but they are optional.
Iโm open to suggestions for areas, buildings, hotel apartments, or monthly rental options. If you have personally stayed somewhere good or know of a good-value option, please share the name and any useful links.
Also, I would really appreciate advice on how best to search for rental units in Abu Dhabi and which areas I should consider given my office location and budget.
If you know of any suitable options, please DM me or share the details/links in the comments.
Thanks in advance! ๐

I am considering moving my children from British school to Spanish School AD. They are still in early years below the age of 7. I wanted to seek feedback on school, and the ability of the children to adapt being non native spanish speakers. Your feedback is welcome if you have sent children here or have children here.

Like the title mentions, I need to send a certificate to bengaluru as soon as possible(tomorrow or worst case Saturday) . I called a lot of courier services and they all demand atleast 3-5 working days. Is there any courier recommendation that does this faster?
Even better if any of you are flying to bengaluru tonight or tomorrow, could you take it to bengaluru? Its just an envelope with a school certificate

Hi everyone, Iโm looking for suggestions from the Abu Dhabi community.
I have a spare room in my 2BHK apartment in Al Falah Street area and would like to know the best way to connect with a suitable working professional who is looking for a clean and peaceful place to stay.
The apartment is in a family-friendly area, well maintained, and close to daily conveniences.
Any suggestions on reliable platforms or communities where I can find a genuine person would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone ๐๐ป (Abu Dhabi)
I purchased this home Wi-fi from Etisalat a few months ago but unfortunately I don't need it anymore. It's monthly payments and not expensive at all but I simply don't need it. Canceling costs quite an unreasonable price, so I'm hoping I can find someone in need I can give it to. If not, please give me advice on what I should do with it. Let me know in the comments if you're interested, and we can discuss further information in private messages.
Thank you ๐ฉท

Finding a parking in Abu Dhabi city has become really hard and stressful!
With the cityโs population rapidly increasing since COVID-19, thereโs a huge parking crisis which is impacting the residents. Iโm forced to park 8 mins away from home and walk or keep driving around for 20-30 mins everyday to find a parking spot.
I hope the authorities consider and take some measures to combat the issue by building more parking buildings around the city.

We used to have Striders, then just Abu Dhabi HM, then it was part of the ADNOC marathon, then relay only. Now we don't have one at all! Does anyone know what the deal is? Did anyone do this Cyber Run last year/early this year? How was that?

An underprivileged guy with old car - no seat ventilation feature
Kidding guys - but how do you keep your seat cool?
I don't have ventilated seats and when my car is parked outside, it's crazy sitting on those leather seats for atleast 10 minutes.
What's the trick I'm missing here?
Don't give me idea to buy a new car - sorry.
Genuine advice needed - I was thinking to keep a cotton towel at tha back while driving maybe if that help - or a cushion I don't know. Please share your experience and thoughts
TIA

Hi, I hope itโs okay if we post this here. We donโt know what to do anymore.
Iโm wondering if anyone could help point us to the right people. My friends are looking for a place around Shabiya 10,11,12 in Mussafah. A 2BHK flat/apartment would be great. We tried looking at Bayut, Property Finder and also tried to go out and ask around but no luck there. Itโs either it got occupied recently or out of their price range.
If you can help us, please send a dm or if youโre comfortable sharing your whatsapp, thatโs fine too.
Thanks!

GCC Lawyers: Kuwait birth certificate Apostille in UAE
hello, I am trying to get a new copy of my Kuwaiti birth certificate issued (if not in the system add my birth via the court) and then get an Apostille at the Portuguese Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
I no longer live in the GCC. Whatโs the best way to get a lawyerโs help on this?

Hello all!
May I know if there is anyone who pursues acting as full time or perhaps as a hobby at least. Can you let me know where I can practice the same in Abu Dhabi? Are there any groups?

Hi everyone,
Today a Municipality inspector was stopping everyone going in and out of my compound in Khalifa City and asking for Emirates IDs and tenancy contracts.
Iโve never seen this before so it caught me off guard. Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a normal inspection, or does it usually mean thereโs an issue with the property? Am I in trouble in anyway?
Also, is renting in Khalifa City generally something to worry about in the long term if the landlord is responsible for any compliance issues?

Hey everyone,
Iโve been working in Senior Visa Operations and Global Visa Consultancy for over 10 years across the UAE and India (managing high-volume applications, refusal cases, and process automation with PowerShell/CRMs).
I'm currently looking to transition into new opportunities within the UAE (Abu Dhabi / Dubai), specifically across travel management, corporate mobility, or visa operations.
For those working in regional HR, travel tech, or mobility in Abu Dhabiโwhat are the most active platforms or agencies right now for senior operational roles? Would also love to connect with anyone in the space!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well.
I have been jobless for over a year now, and things have become extremely difficult. If there are any entrepreneurs, business owners, HR professionals, recruiters, or e-commerce business owners in this group, I am currently available for Administrative, Operations, Customer Service, or Virtual Assistant (VA) roles.
I am open to both onsite and remote opportunities and available to join immediately. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance.
I am in a very challenging situation and, without employment soon, I am becoming homeless by the end of this month. If you know of any opportunities or could refer me to someone who is hiring, I would be deeply grateful for your support.
Thank you so much for your time and kindness.
