I've been working on this issue on and off for the past 4 months, made almost a dozen collages mostly mixing fascist imagery with bdsm and fetishism, the zine itself mostly talks about accelerationism and ai and how fascists co opt aesthetics.

I started a zine that had some local success but I lost steam doing other creative projects and now I’m drained. I need some inspiration from you guys! I have 4 editions of my zine, with a few issues of each. It’s geared around cocktails, memoir, recipes, history, poetry, etc all about bitters. I feel like my work has become too formulaic and I want to get another perspective!

Here’s some bits of an upcoming minizine where I draw from pictures I took at Shipwreck Day, a townwide flea market in Anacortes WA!

It is a zine that presents itself as a single brand with two distinct entities with a dual-identity marketing strategy. It uses contrasting personas, twin sub-brands, and a split narrative to capture the essence of the journey along our market segment. One element recognizes itself merely a zine. On the other hand is the organizing elements that make it all possible; the endorsements of local brands which offer clues. It is a subscription to artistic sensibilities of an adventure from the perspective of building a brand from the ground up. Every simple mark on the pages looks like a secret code waiting to be solved. Your mind fills with pictures of secret trails, challenge coins, and everlasting friendships.

How It Offers Secrets
Tests of heart: Issues give a small clue only after the traveler proves they are kind or brave.
Symbols and signs: They point out hidden paths, stars, or old marks on stones instead of speaking plain words.
Gifts of power: The brand name offers a magic word, and a map to help navigate different trips enjoying VIP perks, skipping long lines, and getting insider information. You get special treatment everywhere you go, exclusive event entry, and behind-the-scenes views that normal people never see.

I made this collaborative zine with over 40 other artists about a dating app for cats, with each artist creating a dating profile for their cat! A portion of each sale goes to Project Meow!

Purrfect Match

I make lots of photo zines of my personal work and I try to leave the interpretation of the project up to the viewer. I struggle with writing intro pages unless it’s about a very specific place or event I covered in the zine. If it’s just a collection of photos that I put together, it feels forced sometimes to add info. I know making a zine is whatever we want them to be, but is lack of “info” frowned upon? Thoughts?

My second analog zine.. came with all the imperfections of the scanning and folding process (cut off text, scan lines, pages cut off) but lots of things I appreciate about the slowness and variability in analog.

Master copy at the end, too thick to properly fold, but it maintains a lot of the colors, textures, palimpsest qualities that get lost in the scan.

Hello guys, I have been very interested in Zines and the world of zines ever since i have came across them, I had the idea of creating a platform wherein people could rapidly discover, read and share zines. More specifically a TikTok like platform wherein people can upload zines and people can swipe vertically. What do you guys think about this?

Hi! First time zinester, tabling this Sunday (Seattle Zine Fest!) and I have a 1/4 letter zine. I drew panels to scan and then repeat throughout and add lettering via Canva.

I am super used to Canva and don't have time to learn other publishing software 😅

My drawings are supposed to be the edge of each page but I have a laser printer, nothing fancy.

Is there a template or combo of settings I should use to ensure my drawings (once scanned and added) actually print as close to the edge as possible? Would like to avoid extra trimmings if I can help it.

I decided on Indesign to make it but need advice on printers

The photos are mine about the Carnaval de la Plaine, in Marseille. For those who don't know it, it's a wild, self-organized street carnival, which is part popular celebration, part political protest and is filled with costumes, satire, and chaos. It also always ends with a huge bonfire at the end (and police intervention).

I made the zine pagination with a free online service and printed it and folded it myself. I am so happy at how it turned out!

I kept a nature journal pretty extensively a few years back and didn't pick it up for a long time. I have a theme based mail club and since the voted theme was carnivorous plants, I thought it would be a great time to journal my Okefenokee trips.
