⚡Community Update! ⚡ How to edit NSFW + Content Warning flair!
Hi, all!
There have a been a couple posts recently where folks have chosen the NSFW flair, but not edited it to specify the content, as requested in the Community Rules.
I've been editing/updating the flair once I notice this, but I usually can't do that before the post is already widely seen.
Here's how to edit those flairs when you're posting!
When creating a new post, click/tap the Add flair and tags button. Choose View all flairs to expand the list.
Notice there's a little pencil icon next to the NSFW and Content Warning flairs? Click/tap that pencil, and then specify the content in the editable text window.
As said in the Community Rules, being specific is practicing care for all community members who may not wish to be exposed to certain types of content.
It also helps people decide if they're in the right place, context, and headspace to engage with what you're sharing with us.
Thank you! Y'all rock.

Seeking feedback Reddit’s building a real-life bodega in NYC, and wants r/zines to be a part of it. Share your ideas and save the date ✨
Hey everyone! u/big-slay here from the Reddit Community Events Team.
I’m stoked to share that we’re launching Reddit’s first-ever Community Pop-Up this summer: r/bodega!
Hitting NYC from August 29–30, this is a fully immersive, experiential build designed like a classic corner store to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and culture of Reddit communities.
Because r/zines is such a vibrant, creative, and essential part of the Reddit ecosystem, we want to feature you inside the build. We’re also inviting alllllll members of this community to attend the event, so save the date(s)!
The Project 📖
We’d love to work directly with you, the members of r/zines, to create an exclusive zine specifically for the bodega event.
Your Participation 💡
We want this to feel authentic to the sub, so we’re asking for your participation in whatever way works best for you. Some ideas:
- Tell us what you would or would not want to see in the zine
- Share stories, moments, or memories from this community
- Drop artwork we should include that deserves a few thousand sets of eyes
- Link us to some of your favorite custom zines
- And honestly, anything else that comes to mind
Let us know in the comments below!
My team and I really want to do this sub justice, so please let us know what you think and leave your suggestions no matter how wild they may seem. Looking forward to building with with y’all and hopefully seeing you at the bodega in August 🤞

A zine about Asian food/diaspora
About food, reflections on food, reflections on culture around food
My second analog zine.. came with all the imperfections of the scanning and folding process (cut off text, scan lines, pages cut off) but lots of things I appreciate about the slowness and variability in analog.
Master copy at the end, too thick to properly fold, but it maintains a lot of the colors, textures, palimpsest qualities that get lost in the scan.

HELP When making photo zines, is an intro page necessary?
I make lots of photo zines of my personal work and I try to leave the interpretation of the project up to the viewer. I struggle with writing intro pages unless it’s about a very specific place or event I covered in the zine. If it’s just a collection of photos that I put together, it feels forced sometimes to add info. I know making a zine is whatever we want them to be, but is lack of “info” frowned upon? Thoughts?

Idea for a platform to promote Zines
Hello guys, I have been very interested in Zines and the world of zines ever since i have came across them, I had the idea of creating a platform wherein people could rapidly discover, read and share zines. More specifically a TikTok like platform wherein people can upload zines and people can swipe vertically. What do you guys think about this?

interest for vehicle-themed zine!
☁︎✈︎ are you a creative? do you have a passion for vehicles? airplanes, trains, cars, boats, transportation in all of its many forms? have you longed to mesh your creative mind and passion for these masterpieces of human innovation?
vehiculum might be the place for you. 🛩️🚄⛴️🚲🛻
vehiculum is an indie zine dedicated to vehicular transportation in all of its forms. it is a zine where you can pour your adoration for your favorite train into a poem or a painting; a zine where you can pour your vast well of knowledge of your favourite bus model into a diagram or an article. it is a collaborative love letter.
if you wish to contribute to vehiciulum, please fill out our interest form! you do not have to have an already existing piece of art, this form is solely to gauge intrigue and participation.
**vehiculum is strictly anti-AI and does not accept any form of AI generated content.**

I made this. I just made this little handmade zine about the Carnaval de la Plaine.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The photos are mine about the Carnaval de la Plaine, in Marseille. For those who don't know it, it's a wild, self-organized street carnival, which is part popular celebration, part political protest and is filled with costumes, satire, and chaos. It also always ends with a huge bonfire at the end (and police intervention).
I made the zine pagination with a free online service and printed it and folded it myself. I am so happy at how it turned out!
I might print a small batch, so message me if you’d like a copy.

HELP Canva bleed/layout?
Hi! First time zinester, tabling this Sunday (Seattle Zine Fest!) and I have a 1/4 letter zine. I drew panels to scan and then repeat throughout and add lettering via Canva.
I am super used to Canva and don't have time to learn other publishing software 😅
My drawings are supposed to be the edge of each page but I have a laser printer, nothing fancy.
Is there a template or combo of settings I should use to ensure my drawings (once scanned and added) actually print as close to the edge as possible? Would like to avoid extra trimmings if I can help it.
Thank you! 🙇🏻

I made this. Lots of exciting updates to Zineroo!
Hey everybody,
Two and a half weeks ago, I introduced Zineroo to this community in this post.
Your response, encouragement, and feedback were incredible - thank you!
Feeling extra inspired, I've poured lots of care and many hours into making Zineroo better.
Here's what's new (including features you asked for):
- Multiple photos + real layers - add several photos to one page, mix them with text, shapes, and icons, and reorder everything in a proper layer stack.
- Seven zine formats - the original 8-page Foldy, plus Square Foldy, 16-page Foldy, Trifold Brochure, Saddle-Stitch Booklet, 14-page Accordion, and the wonderfully specific National Park-style Unigrid map.
- Much more capable design editor - make text-only pages, create resizable text boxes, color individual words, font alignment & opacity, editable shapes, and searchable icons.
- Private cloud projects with automatic sync - Plus users can continue across devices (mobile coming soon), with projects encrypted in the browser before upload. There's also a new Projects Library with thumbnails, favorites, search, trash, and version history.
- Better printing & export - download standard PDFs and PNGs, or use Pro to create print shop ready CMYK PDFs at 300 PPI with bleed & crop marks.
- Built-in image library - Search Openverse, Library of Congress, Internet Archive, and Pinterest without leaving your zine.
- better screen size compatibility - Zineroo now scales to fit a wider range of laptop and desktop screen sizees.
- The Foldy stays free - the original 8-page Foldy remains free to make & print with a free account., Plus unlocks every format, private cloud projects, shapes, icons, and image Library. 7-day trials are now available too.
What should I build next? Please give Zineroo a spin and let me know!
I also created r/zineroo (and u/zineroo) - come say hi, share what you make, ask for help, request a feature - I'd love to hear from you!

Available for purchase I completed my first zine based on my personal nature journal.
I kept a nature journal pretty extensively a few years back and didn't pick it up for a long time. I have a theme based mail club and since the voted theme was carnivorous plants, I thought it would be a great time to journal my Okefenokee trips.
It's 8 pages, so a front cover, 3 journal spreads, and a back cover with nature journal prompts.
If anyone wants to check out my mail club, the zine comes as a bonus item with the Bunny Bundle tier. https://patreon.com/stickerbun

I made this. Spark - a zine for the Mini Zine July 26 challenge
About the challenge
Each year for International Zine Month I join in on blancisthecreative's #minizinejuly26 challenge. There are prompts that last 5 days and a hashtag to follow along and see what everyone posts. This is my fifth zine for the challenge.
July 16 - 20 - Prompt: Inspired By
“Make a zine inspired by:
- Your favorite movies
-Current book reading
-Classic video games
What will your zine be inspired by?”
About the zine
From the itch page:
In Spark, you'll gather around a campfire, write down your regrets, and burn them while working through healing from the impact the words had on you. You can do this activity solo, as a couple, or with a group. There are alternative writing prompts to choose from, and you can choose to keep your writings and thoughts to yourself or share with the group.
