I am beginning to apply to full time and was wondering what the turnover time is between the interview, accepting an offer and actually starting. Does it vary by department? For context I’m cashier/ e-commerce PT looking to move to something like Sushi. I have a lot of food prep experience thanks to Wegmans

Regardless of the Wegmans store, there is a distinctive, unpleasant odor inside the ladies room. I’m guessing it’s a cleanser they use as a whole in all the restrooms. Why use one that smells so bad?

Are they safe to eat currently? I bought a pack of 3 last week before the news and cases of the parasitic “exploding diarrhea” started going up. I’m afraid to eat it now and would hate for it to go to waste.

Taylor Farms has been identified as the culprit for the Cyclospora outbreak. Does this mean Wegmans brand lettuce is safe? Or do they buy and repackage Taylor Farms lettuce like some other places do. I’ve never gotten ill from my favorite Wegmans butter lettuce but stopped eating it recently just in case, and I’ll take up eating it again if it’s safe to do so. Anyone here know where Wegmans sources its lettuce?

I love wegmans and their brand but does anyone else have an issue with wegmans brand things not opening right or is this user error.

So one of my close family members passed, and i talked to my employee advocate and they said they can offer food or flowers or both? Does anyone know what type of food, how or how much? Does it cost something at a reduced price maybe?

Ever since the old man died Danny and his family has run this once proud company into the ground. They have expanded so far south and have 0 clue on geographical sales. Not everyone wants your private label every 5 steps you take. Past 3 years they have taken more products from outside vendors and throw them on to their underpaid staff who can't even keep up with the stuff they already have. Yet the money their saving by taking over all these new products doesn't see the workers checks just Danny's private plane fleet and wardrobe. Shop elsewhere and bury this money hungry family.

I recently moved to an area with a Wegmans I was excited because it was the go-to place to shop where I grew up. My family has been shopping at the same store since it opened in 1968.

In the past year I have seen well known brands eliminated and replaced with inferior Wegmans brands. The costumer perks are weak. The prepared foods often look tasty but the prices are crazy. $12.00 for two pieces of bread, a few slices of turkey and some condiments?

On the plus side, the people who work at Wegmans are nice and it is very clean.

Yes, I know the prices are rising in all grocery stores but they often put things on sale and have a better selection of brand name items.

What am I missing? Why should I shop at Wegmans?

I found out 2 weeks in advance about a day that I wouldn’t be able to work but I couldn’t request unpaid time off because it was too late. As soon as I got scheduled that day I requested someone to cover as well as multiple swap shifts but nobody has taken it. How do I handle this? Do I just call in as if I was sick?

1) I’m working on a MPH and specializing in workplace wellbeing.

2) I was previously a union steward at another job (which helped me scuplt communication, management, and conflict resolution skills.)

I have a history of food service so I thought working at Wegmans while I get through grad school would be a pretty solid idea.

Where is wegmans sourcing the cardboard for their English muffins? How do they stack the egg so high and thin that it’s an inch from the edge of said muffin? The cheese is delicious, why does it never melt? If it wasn’t for the premium price, I would think I’m at 7-11.

What times do overnight full time positions start and end at? The site doesn’t say the times.

This is a longshot, but wondering if anyone has knowledge on pitching a grocery product, likely focusing on the lower margin but more stable private label but potentially launching a brand (less likely)?

I'm trying to help an overseas manufacturer (for whom I conduct other adjacent business) in the process, and I'm not talking about the technical aspects (open a vendor account and all that, that's clear) - I'm more interested in what can interest Wegmans in an already established food type? What would they be looking for?

Is it all down to price?

Some Buff State friends and I were dropping off a friend at the Airport to visit his Dad in North Carolina on Friday the 3rd, so we stopped at the East Rochester location on Fairport Road. I cannot tell y'all just how much the inner historian in me was internally screaming with joy and excitement as I soaked in all of the Retro feels via getting to both see and photo take the old school sign outside, the old long lights, the orange tile floor, the old signs for the Meats, Milk, Beer, and Pharmacy, and the old commemorative plaques while picking up these Utica, NY brand Pasta sauces. It has to be one of the best "Best of both worlds" experiences I was able to have in quite a while as my family and I are proud Wegmans shoppers back home in Buffalo and have been for years and I adore seeing Retro stuff hanging around in today's sterile, dull, and uniformed modern world.

hi! i have an in person interview with Wegmans coming up, and this would be my first job. i’m currently a high school student and i’m involved in student government, so most of my teamwork and leadership examples will come from school activities rather than previous work experience.

does anyone have any tips for making a good impression during the interview? is there anything specific Wegmans interviewers really look for in a candidate, especially someone applying for their first job? i’d also appreciate any advice on how detailed my answers should be or what helped you feel confident during your interview!
