Remember when I was a kid, and those huge storms would develop over the USA Plains and move East?
This was like the 60-80's. Big rain and widespread with Storms and even Tornados. What happened to these. Too hot now? No cold fronts get that far West/South in summer anymore?

There's dew on my truck and it feels far from "dry"to me but I grew up in the desert. Why does the app say the air is dry? Edited spelling

I built the weather radar experience I actually wanted to use

Introducing LiteRadar — https://literadar.com
It’s 100% free, with no ads, ultra-fast, and features beautiful visuals with smooth 60fps animation.
I made this as a personal project for people like me, who are frustrated with the jankiness, ads, pay walls of current radar apps. I had to fix it. Dark Sky came close, but then was shut down.
The radar data this app uses is the same NOAA MRMS data that all of the other apps make you pay to see. I just do light post-processing and client side magic to make it fast to load and beautiful to animate.

Massive hailstones with supercells in Italy
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Severe storms hit Italy yesterday, with some areas experiencing extremely large hailstones that caused significant damage. The strongest storms affected parts of northern and eastern Italy, especially along the Adriatic coast. Reports described hailstones reaching exceptional sizes, in some cases up to 10–15 centimeters in diameter, causing damage to cars, buildings, crops, and infrastructure. The hail fell with such intensity that streets were temporarily covered with ice, creating dangerous conditions for residents and tourists. Strong thunderstorms were also accompanied by heavy rain, powerful winds, and flooding in several locations. - ig_stormchasers

Weather Reporting in the Netherlands
I have noticed a decrease in the accuracy of precipitation prediction for even the 24-hour predictions for the Netherlands on many provider sites.
Is this because the patterns are becoming too chaotic, such that the existing algorithms based on long-term data do not work as well now as compared to 5 years ago, or something else?
My background is as a marketing manager for a weather provider (USA-based), 8 to 5 years ago.

Videos/Animations Mini-supercell Rotating In Central Wisconsin (7-20-26)

I was shocked to see these extremely low precipitation supercells produce several tornadoes despite the mid-levels being incredibly dry. The sharp EML really made for some photogenic LP supercells.
