Spoon, if you’re reading this, I’ve gotta give you a huge shoutout for creating what I consider the absolute best co-op campaigns in Warcraft 3. My friend and I are having an absolute blast playing through them together.

One thing I’m wondering is whether the difficulty could be adjusted a bit. Some missions in the original single-player campaign are fairly challenging on Hard. However, in the co-op campaign, my friend, who has almost no RTS experience, and I, who would consider myself a moderately experienced RTS player, have found Hard mode as my friend said, "Brain Dead Easy". At the same time, Insane feels nearly impossible for us.

Is there any chance we could get a difficulty level somewhere between Hard and Insane? I know this is mostly wishful thinking. I’d be happy to share some thoughts or ideas on how that middle ground could work, so feel free to DM me.

Either way, I’d encourage every Warcraft 3 fan to give these campaigns a try. Playing through the story with a friend makes the game feel fresh again, and the additional secrets and bosses sprinkled throughout the missions are a lot of fun to find.

Me and my friends will often have Battle.net issues, where it's the "unable to join" error or last night when the servers were down when we all wanted to play. I already use Tailscale so I had my brother install it to try and configured it properly. https://github.com/kradalby/wc3ts shows up as an option to broadcast my friend's lobby, but I could not get it to work. It is severely outdated but since it was quick I tried it anyway but no dice.

Does anyone have experience doing this? If so what do you recommend.

Are there any WC3 mods that add units to factions for campaigns like other RTS's have? Not new to WC3, but new to modding it, and Hive Workshop's site layout is kinda daunting when I'm unfamiliar with it

I really love playing w3 and the custom games, but oh man, this old system gets me so mad I sometimes wanna send my pc flying. I had to reinstall my game and suddenly I got back to lvl 1 in Direct Strike matches. I got used to it because I figured it was impossible for me to get my levels back, at least that's what I thought. Now, after some disconnects cuz my internet is really unstable last days, all of a sudden I can't join or host any game whatsoever, I did try to verify and repair installation and also changing VPN but nothing worked

now i'm reinstalling w3 all over again and i'm so pissed at blizzard and this 2003 junk that doesn't get a functional platform it truly deserves.

any tip of what might be the problem for this sudden impossibility of hosting or joining games??

All lobby pings are displayed as red question marks instead of actual numbers.
Most maps appear as if they are not downloaded, even though they are.
Whenever I try to join a lobby, I get the message: "The game you attempted to join could not be found. You may have entered the name incorrectly or the game creator may have canceled the game."

Does anyone have the same problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Anyone can't join lobby in warcraft 3? Internet is fine, tried restarting pc, battle net, internet. Can join ranked match as normal, can't just join custom games.

Looking for some new campaigns to play. I’ve played some of the older custom campaigns and had a lot of fun. Looking for complete campaigns that mainly focus around the rts part of the game. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Reeling the fish in costs energy, the same for the fish when it "bursts" away (the red exclamation ‼️is a pre warning). The player will lose more energy if they are reeling the fish in at the same time the fish is "bursting" away. Player will lose the fish at 0 energy or if the fish gets too far. If both have zero energy, not reeling the fish will cause it to swim side to side with no distance change.

Eventually adding snags to get stuck on, diverse fish to catch with unique abilities, a "Yank" left/right ability to manually change the direction of the fish and also nudge in the chosen direction - to avoid snags.

The classic HD mod also makes the level 1 spiders look bigger than the level 6 brood mother spiders.

I've seen and ınstalled the F-droid repo's Warsmash but is it viable?

I can also use Winlator to emulate wc3 or the community edition of wc3 directly or of course can use the regular Warsmash inside Winlator.

Like I've said I am not interested in playing mlee or honestly even online custom maps just want to play custom maps offline with bots. What would be the best course of action to accomplish this?

Fly100% is currently on a Warcraft 3 playing streak, particular on the W3champions platform during Season 25.

having skipped Season 23 entirely and spending the majority of season 22 playing night elf on w3champions, Fly100% also played little during Season 24.

However, everythings changed during Season 25. Fly100% already surpassed the amount of games played in the early stages of season 25 and he has been playing a lot of Orc which pleases me greatly 🥹

Any good custom campaigns with unique factions/abilities and heroes? Playable in reforged not necessarily with reforged graphics but its the only version I currently own. I have not played any of them yet so

Barring that, do we have any official lore on these events? It's a little gap in the story that I think could at least make a decent mission or two.

I don't see many people mentioning grid hotkeys here so, I want to showcase how useful grid hotkeys are especially with custom Grid that you all can setup too. Initially, I was looking on how to play Quickcast keys without using grid (that's impossible sadly) but what I found is this really helpful Hiveworkshop post by Ardenaso.

You also can setup Item quickcast here too! To change the grid keys, you need to open War3Preferences.txt and refer to the post. If you still want to change the keys from the post, you must refer to ASCII characters for each alphabet (from 65 to 90) and change it in "Hotkey=" in respective sections ("[Command Grid Hotkeys]" or "[Inventory Hotkeys]").

I've changed mine to TYHA SDFDG QWER and it is working very good for me after a week of getting used to it. My items are also changed to ZXCVBN to satisfy my Dota 2 item keybinds preference. Note that your normal item keybinds which you set ingame does not have quickcast but still works and you also cannot arrange icons like custom hotkeys.
