I have never played V Rising before, but I am thinking about getting it to play with one or maybe two friends.
I am a bit confused about how the online experience actually works. I know there are PvE and PvP servers, but I am not sure what the differences are when playing with friends.
If we play on a PvE server, do we share one castle and progress together, or does everyone build their own base?
If we play on a PvP server, does everyone usually have their own castle and just happen to run into each other in the world, or is PvP more like an arena or a separate activity?
What happens if one friend plays a lot more than the others and gets much higher level? Does that make it difficult for the rest of the group to catch up, or is it not a big issue?
How does loot work? Does everyone get their own drops, or do you have to share everything that drops from enemies and bosses?
I also noticed there is an option to play on a private server. Would you recommend that for a small group of friends, or is it better to play on a public server for a first playthrough? What are the main pros and cons?
Basically I would appreciate any tips on how co op works and what the best way is for a small group of friends to experience the game for the first time.

I have been playing V rising for a while and love the game. I use steam deck to run V rising and I want to mod the game but I'm struggling to get the mods to work.
Does anyone have a simple tutorial on how to set up mods for V Rising on a steam deck?
I would greatly appreciate it!

Does anyone have any experience using Xrealm to buy a server on ps5? Is it an easy process?
