I have been playing V rising for a while and love the game. I use steam deck to run V rising and I want to mod the game but I'm struggling to get the mods to work.
Does anyone have a simple tutorial on how to set up mods for V Rising on a steam deck?
I would greatly appreciate it!

I have never played V Rising before, but I am thinking about getting it to play with one or maybe two friends.
I am a bit confused about how the online experience actually works. I know there are PvE and PvP servers, but I am not sure what the differences are when playing with friends.
If we play on a PvE server, do we share one castle and progress together, or does everyone build their own base?
If we play on a PvP server, does everyone usually have their own castle and just happen to run into each other in the world, or is PvP more like an arena or a separate activity?
What happens if one friend plays a lot more than the others and gets much higher level? Does that make it difficult for the rest of the group to catch up, or is it not a big issue?
How does loot work? Does everyone get their own drops, or do you have to share everything that drops from enemies and bosses?
I also noticed there is an option to play on a private server. Would you recommend that for a small group of friends, or is it better to play on a public server for a first playthrough? What are the main pros and cons?
Basically I would appreciate any tips on how co op works and what the best way is for a small group of friends to experience the game for the first time.

This is the most trouble ive ever had with a boss in a game, i feel SO good right now

I thought of this mostly for boss areas that have a long runback, requiring you to enter in a frontal area. However, there could be secret back entrances (closer to waypoints) that could be used in rat form to directly go to the boss area. What do you think about this? Would be a small QoL feature.

So I had played the game and loved it, had a decent castle set up as well but I stopped playing for maybe about 2 or 3 weeks and when I came back my castle had decayed. Do I need to keep returning and feeding it blood ?

New new player just made my first servant coffin. I have the retro camera just to kind of play around with the view sometimes but I was curious if any of you had any favorites.
I do want to play the game without massive overhauls and whatnot for my first playthrough, but I’ll still look at any recommendations anybody provides.

Hello everyone.
I love this game, with a passion. I want to see it shine, and like all of you I am deeply saddened by the news and have been a little empty these past couple months. So I have decided to do something about it and put my mostly unused skills and free time into making a large scale project that this game deserves.
I am a developer, I am currently working on a community project called “Nocturne launcher” and it’s a community hosted V-Rising Launcher and Mod platform (not affiliated with V-rising) that supports self hosted servers and modpack support. It is going to be completely open source.
If the devs are no longer supporting this game then it is up to the community to make it even more awesome by our own hands.
I am the sole developer and basically the whole team. But I want to have beta testers that will test the system for me. The launcher itself is almost done in development but I am still working on the website. If you are interested please send me a DM and I’ll give you the details. Beta tests come with shiny badges for early supporters!
Edit 1: Thanks for the support, I am receiving tons of positive messages and willingness to help the project. At first I wasn’t sure how the community was going to respond but this is way better than expected. Just to clarify a bit:
Nocturne helps players discover mods, install and switch complete modpacks, find community servers that support those modpacks and keep everything updated without manually moving files.

My friends and I spent two days fighting Dracula. Last night after multiple attempts we got him down to less than 1/4 health. Both my buddies went down and I focused entirely on killing him. They were dead silent just watching. I finally got him down and as soon as I did, my friend started yelling "revive me". I started going over and they both started yelling "no the other body!" And in those precious moments, my friend bled out...
Two of us got the V Blood but tonight we have to try again for a 3rd night to kill that prick so my friend can drink his blood.

I just picked up the game in June and have been having a ton of fun. I've tried to join roleplay servers but everyone else seems to be more experienced in roleplaying on this game than I am and I feel pretty lost. I have no clue what would make a good backstory for my character and I have trouble getting into/ staying in character (obviously this would just be something I have to just get used to lol). I also don't know a good way to connect with people and make connections. I'm still fairly new to the game so I'm not very good at combat and don't know any 'meta builds' (and I don't play to, I like hitting until death as a strat). Any good beginer friendly roleplay servers or tips & tricks for making a character and such would be much appreciated!!

Hello V Rising community,
I'm a huge fan of this game. I really love the style, the way the game is designed, the combat system, and how crafting and progression work.
I'm also a big fan of the anime Owari no Seraph, and I would love to see a boss fight featuring Crowley Eusford.
My idea is to create him as a vampire boss on the same level as Dracula (the King of Vampires). In Owari no Seraph, Crowley is an extremely powerful character, but he is not someone who seeks power or wants to rule. Because of that, I think he would fit perfectly as a unique endgame boss with a completely different combat experience and some amazing legendary loot.
My idea for the boss hierarchy would be:
The goal would be to create a challenging and memorable boss fight with unique abilities, mechanics, and rewards that feel worthy of V Rising's world.
I'm currently looking for developers or modders who would be interested in helping bring this idea to life.
If you're interested in creating a new V Rising boss or working on this project, feel free to contact me.
Thank you!

Hello!
This is my first time playing V Rising, playing solo, and wanted to know if I got incredibly lucky or if this is normal. My gear level is currently 41, I've been having troubles fighting Sir Erwin.

I decided to mine Iron and build the Smithy and in the Mine I found Kriig fighting Meredith, both very low hp.
Kriig was like 2-3%, I killed him with 2 spells and drained his blood. Meredith was ~15%, so also quite easy.

Lucky or not, I'm still happy about it and wanted to share. I had troubles progressing, so this should give me a boost. Any other tips are welcome!

Hail!
I just beat the harpy boss, and got ganked by the elementalist. Decided it was time for a break. Had some noodles, took a nap, got up and rebooted the game.
Went straight back to the harpy, almost died, realized my mistake and got caught in the sun on the way back to my lair. Good times. 🦇

How good is this game to play solo? Any suggestions on alterations? How about difficulty? Is it viable to play solo on brutal? Or is that balanced for multiplayer?

The game is absolutely amazing. About 90 hours in finally settled on a server after trying act 1 multiple times. Now in act 3, level 67. There is always something to do, that next weapon or armor locked behind a certain boss. The loot and grind is amazing. Even the rifts are fun. Rocking my full skeleton army build.
How many hours have you logged in this gorgeous game?

The game shows that a lv1 incursion is going on but the map shows everything to be lvl 3.
When I go to any of those places they're definitely lvl3.
What gives? I'm trying to get lvl1 and 2 right now as lvl3 is too difficult.
Edit:
It was the mod bloodcraft. Turns out elite rift incursions is on by default.

I just stated this morning. I joined a public unofficial server. When I first joined it the ping was like 45ish. I have had a few lag spikes but not terrible. Of course it was at the worst times and resulted it several deaths.
My question is, if I play on a single player server will my current stuff switch over?

I only have three bosses left to finish the game, and I decided to go for Megara before Adam because I’ve heard how hard she is, but I can't find any way to beat her—even with Corrupted Blood. She simply kills me before I even reach the second phase, and the one time I did make it there, I was instantly wiped out. On top of that, there isn't a single guide on how to beat her—just videos of people defeating her on Brutal difficulty. Actually, this isn't the first time I've run into this issue; why are there so few guides for this game?

Just got the game on PS5 because I really didn’t feel like being on a PC after work hours (WFH here). Plan on getting into it later today - any advice on a good start from the PS5 community is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello guys! just picked up game from the sale in steam. Could anyone advice good server/time for EU player to hop in? I`m interested in PVP. However, almost all the servers i see are currently dead/almost dead. I assume its just the game`s thing and i need to wait for a wipe? If so, what would be the best time to log in? Or is there an active community server where ppl play all the time?
Thank you in advance.
(i`ve tried google/GPT and was told that Bloodthirst is a good server cluster, but it is closed, apparently?)
