In the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Child's Play" (Season 6, Episode 19), Icheb's parents deliberately send him back to the Borg. They engineered him from birth to carry a deadly pathogen, intending to use him as a biological weapon to sacrifice to the Collective in order to save their homeworld, the Brunali.
