Have played the trilogy through about 8 times I think. Also a Dragon Age Inquistion fan. BioWare used to get things right.

2nd and 3rd for me. Those minigames in the first one are annoying, especially after you play the 2nd one. Like damn, you can just skip all that?!

From the second playthrough onwards I play with mods especially the hacking mini games.

Took me over a year to beat all 3 lol

Oh, but that Star Child and the ending ...

I'll agree the games at their best were all-time great, but the ending spoiled my urge to replay them.

I always thought the journey mitigated the ending almost completely. The more I've played it over the years the less I care about the ending

Absofuckinglutely.

Imagine a road trip to a concert that your favorite band was performing at.

The road trip took 2 weeks and was the greatest time you and your friends ever had in your entire life.

You met people you will know or at least remember for the rest of your life. You fell in love, you saved your friends when they were in danger. You were in danger and your friends saved you. You went to places and saw things you never thought you would get to experience.

Then you get there and the concert sucks.

It was still the greatest journey you've ever taken, right? That's how I feel about it.

I'm Commander Trytolearneverything, and Mass Effect is my favorite game of all time.

Okay, I can understand and respect that perspective. I also haven't tried the game with Audemus' Happy Ending Mod, which I've heard addresses the ending issues pretty well.

Did you start at 1 or 2? My friend couldn't do the older game mechanics of 1, but 2 hooked her in completely. Maybe try 2?

What makes the game fun? Is it not outdated

They remastered it in 2021! ME1 is still a little old school feeling, but 2 is perfection
