This has been going on for quite some time now. My FCA, LKA, and HBA aren't working, and this connection error keeps happening.

I thought it may be due to excessive light as it went back to normal later In the day, but now it happens when I turn the car on and continues.

Then I thought it may be a fuse issue for the FCA, well the fuse looks great, hell I even removed the fuse and it continues to do this. Then I thought it may be a heat issue, but the camera can be cool to the touch and it will still do this. Wires seem fine, I messed around with a bunch of wires to see if it's a loose connection or something, cord to the camera seems fine, and others to the fuse boxes inside and out are both fine. Not sure what to do from here..

Just picked this up from my sister in law. Never had a Veloster before so I don’t know much about anything. I’ve also never had a reverse lockout collar before so I don’t really know what to do. I want a weighted shift knob but I’m struggling to find anything that specifically says it will fit the 2012 model.. everything says 2015+. Any advice for a newbie?

As the title implies I just lost ac because the horn does anyone have a way to not cause that to happen again? it's a 19 veloster with a 1.6t if that changes anything Edit: got home from work and decided to take a further look and found out my bracket for my horn snapped off

I have cleaned all MAP sensors and changed them

Once its warm it won't act like it wants to stall out unless in performance mode with enthusiastic driving coming to a stop.

Guy I bought it off put a cat back exhaust injectors and a tune in IDLE it sits on 100L / 100 (which shits me)

Posted this when I was got the car and received good feedback. Just wanted to extend the discussion this way and see if there’s anything else I can get tips and advice on ownership and care. Since it is peak of summer, I went ahead and picked up some Pennzoil Ultra Plat 5w-30 for this texas heat, plus car is sitting at 113k miles so I doubt the 0w-30 is of any benefit anymore. Im sticking with hyundai oem oil filters as others have recommended. Car is bone stock, at most will be adding a CAI with turbo inlet upgrade soon.

To be fair I do have OCD gotta make sure my windows go all the way up

I just bought a 2013, knowing its the worst engines. How screwed am I with a rod knock. Its covered under warranty im 90% sure and has 9000 miles on a rebuilt engine.

Has anyone with a second gen turbo got a tune and how much was it? Had mine for a few years and I’m finally gonna throw some cash into her (pure500 turbo, catless downpipe and back, injectors, fuel pump, intercooler, etc.)
Anything else I should add, or specific parts that have worked well for you? Thanks

I had ordered new fog lamps and headlights that said they were compatible with the car, but the headlights were a bust. Couldn't make them fit into the housing or connect them. I was able to replace the foglights pretty easily, but now I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with headlight upgrades and what you used. Attached image is new foglights and old headlights.

I have recently had a full brake job done on my 2015 turbo, almost all of the calipers were locked up, with huge grooves, now just over 3 months past that the front drivers side has grooved very deep for seemingly no reason, do yall have consistent brake problems or is it just an older car problem I’ll deal with?

Recently I got my service done and they told me the right engine mount needs to be replaced as even if we tighten that up still the engine moves, but I wonder if this sound is related directly to that issue or could be something else (engine mount has already been requested) if you guys had this issue your opinion would be the best

Often struggles to turn over and when it does it will be in limp mode. Doesn't happen while driving though. Power cycle usually fixes it.

I took it to the dealership service dept. and they diagnosed it as a failing catalytic converter and replaced it. Did a battery voltage test and nothing odd there. Even opted for a tune-up to make sure it wasn't just a spark plug.

Seemed fine for two days since leaving the shop but still having this issue, what's going on? Seems like a common problem and I'd like some advice from someone who's dealt with this issue.

I've barely had it a month and it's been a headache to say the least. Love driving it though, awesome car and I'd prefer to keep it.

I found a 2016 Veloster Ultimate with 155k on it for $4k. Car looks clean from the listing, one owner, carfax shows it’s been well maintained with frequent oil changes.
I’m going to look at it this week. I love the funky design and the 6 speed manual, but I do need a reliable daily driver and I’m not sure if this is the car for me.

I drive 100 miles a day total driving to and from work. I take good care of my cars but it seems like these Veloster’s get a bad rep for not being very reliable. I want to drive something fun, can’t bring myself to get a basic Corolla or Civic even though on paper, they’re known to be more reliable. My wife had a 2012 Sonata 2.0T, which seemed to start falling apart right after it hit 100k, hoping these later model Veloster’s are a little better. Give me some of your experiences/advice.
