Discussion Worst “best friend” ever

Post image
82 Upvotes

S2, E11: If you have friends like this, you don’t need enemies. I feel bad for Katie. Being humiliating by her boyfriend the night before and instead of empowering her friend, Stassi chastises her because how dare that happen to her on her birthday. It was then brought up at dinner, not by Katie, and Tom continues to gaslight her and they tell her to stop standing up for herself. It’s very hard to watch. Then later Stassi stirs the pot because there is already drama in her words and confronts Jax about Tom cheating on Kristen.

I believe Katie and Stassi are still friends but I wonder if she ever publicly addressed how she treated her friends. And it’s your birthday yes, but that doesn’t give you a pass to be a shitty person. Just means you are always a shitty person.

I absolutely loved Ariana’s short blonde hair! And the least flattering was Scheana’s bun stage for me!

Rewatch Discussion Rewatch S6 Ep 6

I literally get cocaine anxiety watching this. Reminds me of my partying days, minus the cheating audio & screaming at each other. But this is PEAK reality tv. PEAK.

Imagine filming this, imagine how much of a shit show this would have been.

Can’t stop watching.

That is all 😂

Discussion Season 6 recap

Hi everyone first time watch so no spoilers!

Stassi - kinda normal but I think prejudice allegations are true I fear. Patrick was emotionally abusive ngl

Kristen - again a quieter season for her which was nice to see. I don’t think her and James hooked up

Katie - they can never make me hate you girl! Your horrible useless husband making you apologise for having a brain injury!!

Lala - a bit cringe but again best intentions. I miss 2016 feminism. I kinda love her and stassi’s friendship.

Scheana - hates that the show wasn’t about her this season I’d say. I wanna know the reason behind her and lala’s beef in the reunion.

Ariana - would be way more watchable if she wasn’t a Stassi hater on Toms behalf honestly girl

Tom sandy - ugh horrible and cringe misogynist, you clearly don’t like Ariana.

Tom Schwartz - you’re a piece of shit I hate you. You are the worst. There’s no proof for what you’ve done but I know you’ve done something

James - HILARIOUS you’re evil but easily the funniest person. Evil to Lala, loyalties to no body but so funny

Brittany - no words girl you are in an emotionally manipulative relationship. GET OUT!!!! LEAVE HIM!!!! I can’t help but think her own self image keeps her with him.

Jax - the devil reincarnated! Honestly no sense of morals or empathy. I think he’s brain dead. #metoo

Rewatch Discussion Lisa interviewing Brittany - pet peeve!!

Ok this is totally a vent of something really minor that bothers me every time I do a re-watch!

Beginning of season 4 when we first meet Brittany, Jax brings her to SUR and has Lisa interview her. After the interview while Brittany is walking away she makes a comment to Diana saying “ put your trousers on next time you come for an interview.” because she had on a very short romper.

This has ALWAYS bothered me because the uniforms they had at SUR practically had less fabric than what she was wearing! Yes, I understand this was an interview and Brittany was unprepared. I totally get all that haha like it said this is just a personal pet peeve…like, we are gonna act shocked and scandalized by her basically showing them she would be able to wear their required uniform 🤣🤣🤣

Scandoval First watch: Scandoval

I just finished season 10 for the first time (still have the last part of the reunion) - I spent 2 months binge watching to get to this moment and I have so many questions and thoughts. I haven't seen much of what everyone thinks or any details that are missing so I still feel like I am missing stuff.

First, it is obvious that Tom and Raquel set up the Swartz and Raquel makeout to divert everyone's attention to that. It was so awkward and clear that Raquel wasn't actually interested in him at all but they would do anything to protect themselves.

Second, when did they actually start? I've seen conflicting timelines. Did they hookup at Schenas wedding? Was it really just that one time in the summer? What is actually confirmed from this?

Third, what are everyones thoughts on James in this? I know he was angry at Raquel but I honestly enjoyed seeing him yell at Tom. Is it bad that I kinda have a soft spot for him? Maybe just because I think he's hysterical.

Where can I find any missing details about this full affair, any interviews, videos, episodes? I want to get all the answers and full experience. From my understanding, they started in the summer, hooked up "once", then continued it. Flirted in front of everyones faces on the show. Kept it going on for a year while Tom claiming he was going to end it with Ariana?

Lastly, I can proudly say I never liked Sandoval. He was an egotistical loser that consistently defended the wrong people because he wanted to look like the good guy. He thought he was so above everyone and somehow he could get away with something disgusting like this. You didn't have a deep connection with Raquel, you just didn't want to feel like the 40 year old sack that you are.

Discussion First time watcher - Cast opinions season 3

Watching for the first time and have no one else to share my opinions on these insane people, so here I am!

Please no spoilers, somehow I know little about what’s coming moving forward in the show.

Anyways, these are my opinions on the season 3 cast so far:

Jax - I hateeee this motherfucker. He has the douchiest personality I’ve ever seen. Only positive of him being on the show is him flapping his mouth so much that he exposes the other guys cheating, though as a notorious liar he’s rarely believed. I also enjoy watching him put his foot in his mouth with the women around him. I get irritated seeing him on my screen and unfortunately I see his bloodshot eye veins popping out face the most. I don’t understand why the guys (and Scheana) are so quick to forgive him for things and like having him around.

Tom Sandoval - Also not a big fan, but he’s much more entertaining to watch. I believe he’s also a serial cheater but luckily for him, Jax being the one to expose him gives him reasonable doubt. I find him much less irritating simply because he has some funny ass moments. My favorite so far are
- “The Golden Nugget? That’s like an all time low.” “Are you kidding me I love that place.”
- “You ever feel this?” before punching Jax in the face.
- The clip of him dancing at Scheana’s wedding to some accordion music

Tom Schwartz - Irritates me too. I hate the way he seemingly infantilizes himself and Katie when they are fighting or when she’s upset. I loved seeing Stassi kick him out when he was pulling that act at her house. The ring necklace at Scheana’s wedding was awful.

James - I feel for him, being so young and clearly wants Kristen to move on and actually focus on their relationship. She acts younger than him fr. But the clips of him standing in the dark parking lot black out drunk at the wedding was SCARY lol. He looked like a corpse.

Scheana - I kinda don’t care about Scheana. I find it annoying that she has a sort of holier than thou attitude towards the girls when she accepts and enables the same behavior from the guys. She’s just not dating them so she doesn’t care they’re pieces of shit. The random music performances are awful. I did feel awful for her with everything going wrong at her wedding and I would also be frustrated. But if you’re already spending almost $100k on this wedding, maybe hire a slightly more expensive and experienced wedding planner?? I do like seeing her loyalty and care for Ariana though.

Ariana - Also gives a slight “cool girl” pick me type of personality. I understand her dislike of Kristen obviously but I hate that she acts immune to the things Tom has done in the past happening to her. She doesn’t want to be proven wrong so badly that she refuses to hear or investigate any accusations of Tom, even when that woman from Vegas literally showed up at Sur. She looks like an idiot.

Kristen - Desperate and annoying. That’s all.

Katie - Has been cheated on at least twice by a man who clearly isn’t ready to settle down and yet refuses to leave him. I think she’s starting to see that it needs to end, but it is sad to watch. I don’t understand why these women are so quick to forgive multiple “mistakes.”

Stassi - Don’t know why she’s still around. She doesn’t work at Sur and no one likes her besides that one server they show with her sometimes to get her some screen time. I loved seeing her make Jax grovel for a year just to not give him another shot. Besides that, she’s not a nice person and is quick to make assumptions and blow up at people. I guess after saying that I do know why she’s still around.

OG Cast Stassi's Patrick Era

I'm doing a deep dive on Stassi's OG pod and the eps from 2015 when she was dating patrick are so telling. I'm only listening to the kristina kelly and jen bush eps so far but man stassi talking about living separately and the horrible beach shack he chose over her is awful. Was anyone else a big listener/lore follower at that time that can give more info? There's so much i had no idea i didn't know

Rewatch Discussion Rewatching the reunion after Scandavol and I’m horrified at James’s abuse being swept under the rug

James had multiple accusations of abuse and sexual assault during that reunion and he constantly deflected by bringing up Tom immediately. Ariana was very complicit in this too.

Really grossed me out

Discussion Watching VPR for the first time: knowing Jax & Brittany stay together is making me not want to finish. Helpppppp

So I’m finally watching VPR from front to back after knowing of the show for years. I’m currently on S6E16.

I try to avoid some spoilers/specifics if I haven’t already seen stuff about it online, but unfortunately I am aware that Jax and Brittany stay together and even get married and have a child. Seeing how he treats her and speaks to her and knowing she stays even though she deserves better is so upsetting!!! It’s making me not want to finish catching up to the current season!

I really want to get through to Scandoval at least so can anyone give me some moral or encouragement so I can push through because idk how much more I can take of watching him treat her like this and her just take it </3 tia

OG Cast Kristina Kelly is horrible

On my first rewatch of season 3. I’m an OG watcher of VPR, since when we had to wait through commercials, but I’ve never rewatched season 3 because I can’t put myself though the stassi/jax/tom/kristin show again. Then I had knee surgery and decided to do it.

I never lived Kristina, she’s Eeyore reincarnated. But this is straight evil. And this is her personality throughout the entire series. I saw the trailer for Stassi’s new show and it looks like Katie finally calls her out about something, not sure what it was, but I can’t believe it took this long.

Rewatch Discussion VPR 1st watch: S6 (not done with season yet)

Long story short Jax Jaxed his girlfriend and future wife… again. Just more publicly. Like go figure.

Tom yelling at Ariana for playing the voice recording of Jax cheating instead of Jax being recorded saying terrible things is him showing more of his true colors.

The other tom cheating not even a year in his marriage… yikes.

It’s such a boys club between the 3 of them that it makes their action less and less shocking. It’s more shocking that the girls keep feeling betrayed when this is who they are since season 1 tbh.

OG Cast Thoughts on Scheana having her own show??

I know she's problematic and cringe at times but I cant help but think her own show would be SO interesting to watch. She has so many insane connections and seems to be involved with all Hollywood drama. Doesn't seem like being a mother slowed her down at all either.

Hot take: House of Stassi will be boring. In Vanderpump Villa her life is so basic middle-aged woman. I can't imagine she'll have enough excitement to keep us entertained. She's also SO toned down from her chaotic past.

Discussion Experiences at Vanderpump restaurants?

Please please give me any reviews/experiences from any and all VPR restaurants!! Did anyone here firsthand experience Pump during pride? Have y’all been to SUR or TomTom? Did anyone get to experience Schwartz and Sandy’s or Villa Blanca?? Let me live vicariously through you as an east coast girlie who has been a VPR fan from the beginning!
