Best place to buy golf shoes in Vail?
Any store or pro shop with a particularly good selection and pricing?

Stopping by Vail for a quick pitstop. I’ll have roughly 24 hours between getting there after lunch and leaving after lunch the following day. Looking for places I must go to while I’m here for dinner, casual drinks, breakfast, lunch, and to get a few souvenirs.
Thanks!

Just shattered my stein from the previous Oktoberfest and am pretty bummed. Super slim chance but does anyone know if any local businesses are still selling some?

I made a post on here a few weeks ago about Larry and how i’m his great granddaughter. It really saddens me that the red lion is closing and I read this article about people speaking out about how they don’t want the red lion to close. and i was wondering if there’s anything i can or should do. I have done so many research projects on Larry and the red lion for school stuff. And my grandpa (Larry’s son) has so many things from the red lion when he lived there. Cups, shirts, etc. I really don’t want this place to close because i know how much it means to the vail community and how much it means to my family even though the restaurant isn’t even in my family anymore. But i’ve heard countless stories about the red lion growing up.
While I wait for cell service to drop again, I’m just telling coworkers i’ll be afk for a bit — what are yall planning to do?
Reminder don’t open your fridge/freezer!
ETA: Restored an hour or so later. Keep the outage map bookmarked: https://www.holycross.com/our-system/outage-center/outage-map

I’m staying in town for just a couple of days for work and I cannot believe how beautiful it is around here! I flew into Denver and then drove out to Vail and I am blown away!
Anybody have any recommendations for good food and drinks? I’m staying just off Frontage.

I know a lot of people say to avoid holiday weekends but I have heard that President's Day weekend can be not bad due to the Saturday and Sunday of that weekend being blackout dates on Epic Passes. I also hear that Super Bowl Sunday is lighter as well, which coincides with President's day weekend this year. We are thinking of flying out that weekend to ski at Vail. Thoughts on how the crowds will be? Thanks!

Hey all! I'm a non-local from a different state and my girlfriend and I have planned for 2 years to travel to Colorado and I cannot believe we will be traveling there this summer in August!!
I plan to pop the big question and propose, but I was wondering if there's a budget-friendly way of getting pictures done or if a local would help me take the picture? I am covering the cost of the whole trip so I'm trying to cut every corner that I can 😂
I'm crying for help because the picture thing is stressing me after seeing people wanting $500+ for pictures and I get that it's an experience but in my budget I just simply cannot afford it.
Also, location recommendations? I have a few in mind, but I'd like to hear a locals perspective.

I’m going to Vail for the first time to work as a rental shop clerk. Does anyone know if it’s easier to get employee housing in this position?
I’d also like to know if my boyfriend and I can stay in the same room in employee housing, or if they separate men and women

We will be in Vail in the coming weeks and looking for some ideas! We are limited a bit physically for a medical reason, usually we’d be on the trails all day but will need to re-direct.
We are there two days, one day we want to wander Vail Village and have a really good but casual lunch. Thinking German/European fare.
The next full day I’m at a bit of a loss! We can do easy hikes at or under 2 miles or will have kayaks. Willing to drive about an hour any direction for something good too.
Any dining, coffee shop, food, and recommendations on what to do would be great!

Hi! I’m currently at the Target in Glenwood Springs and I missed the last Bustang bus to Vail. Is anyone driving toward Vail tonight and willing to give me a ride? I can help pay for gas. I’m just trying to get back to Vail safely tonight. Please message me if you’re heading that way. Thank you so much!

Got to go to Zuma Vail in the Sebastian. It was really good, especially the bartenders and drinks. The DJ playing in the main dining room was actually really cool.
Staff seemed happy and motivated. They have been open about 6 weeks now.
The only thing that sucks is they don’t list what items are gluten-free and you can’t do gluten-free omakase. Strange because this is the 23rd location - you would think they would have figured out how to handle gluten sensitivity by now. (Not celiac or cross contamination, just trying to avoid it). If they can get food allergy stuff dialed in (and if you can ignore the prices) - it’s a great addition to Vail.

Noticed there are no shows at Gerald Ford on the calendar this weekend in Vail. Anyone know why? Any chance of a last minute show announcement?

Landing in Denver tonight and my current plan is to head to Colorado Springs, then visit Garden of the Gods early tomorrow morning.
My itinerary and hotel stays are still very open and flexible (I know last-minute changes can get expensive!). I’m wondering if it makes sense to drive from Colorado Springs to Vail tomorrow via Highway 24, Hoosier Pass, and Breckenridge.
I’m traveling with my 75-year-old dad, so I need to be mindful of altitude and not make the trip too aggressive.
For those familiar with Vail in summer:
I was thinking of walking around Vail Village, taking some scenic photos, and maybe trying some beginner-friendly mountain biking.
Would you choose Vail, Breckenridge, or spend more time around Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park instead?

Any recommendations on where to watch the final on Sunday?! Was wondering if Barrio Social would play it since they are a Spanish restaurant

I thought dumb and dumber was set in Aspen not Vail... In all seriousness, as someone who visits Vail frequently, I couldn't think of two people who represent the city poorly.

If it passes it will be dark longer in the morning and light later in the evenings.
Would resorts need to adjust chairlift operating hours to accommodate? Will we just be skiing in the dark for first tracks? Etc etc....
what ramifications do you all think it would have?
