How is the Theater program at UTRGV? What about the Human Generics Ph.D one?

I'm considering the online M.S. in Finance program at UTRGV and would love to hear from anyone who has completed the program or is currently enrolled.

I'm especially interested in learning about the workload, quality of instruction, flexibility for working students, and whether you felt the program was worth it overall.

If you've taken any of these classes, I'd love to know:

• How difficult was the course?
• Was it math-heavy or more discussion/project-based?
• How was the professor?
• Were there group projects?
• Any classes you would highly recommend (or avoid)?
• Approximately how many hours per week did you spend on coursework?

Has anyone taken or know of anyone that has taken Iris A. Aguilar? I have not found any review about her on rate my professor and I have asked on the Facebook group but no one answers.
I want to have my T&T schedule full so I can work the rest of the week.

Yeah so I know this isn’t the place for asking for help with this, but I don’t really have any other options. I’m an 18 yo sophomore who’s completed all of my core curriculum and recently got admitted into the BMED program, and I’m having issues with making a schedule. I have 0 income or support from my parents so I’m maxed out on FAFSA, Texas Grant, and the UTRGV tuition advantage, which means if I want to keep all of that I need to enroll for 15 hours for fall 26. The issue I’m running into is that I need to pretty much completely enroll in major specific classes, but all the upper level BMED courses need departmental approval. I have emailed four times, to two different emails, and waited over 3 weeks for a response while the classes fill. I’m not sure how to get the departments attention at this point, I feel like they’re not taking me seriously lol. I also made and appointment with my advisor but she told me she can’t help me since its BMED specific. (they have not emailed me my BMED advisors info) anyway, what can I do to get a schedule before it’s too late? Can I go somewhere in person? Does anyone in the program experience difficulties contacting the Biomedical Sciences Department? Any advice or help is appreciated, I’m desperate lol. I just wanna graduate.

So I’m currently a senior undergraduate in biology. I’m looking into doing a masters related to the sciences (Molecular Biology). Is there a way to apply for jobs here to work in labs? Or does anyone know how to apply for a MLS?

I guess it is curious to me how people land their jobs at UTRGV. I have seen many people land a job right after graduating, while others just get hired eventually.

Has anyone landed a job recently at the uni? How did you get in and what is it like? Would you trade it for anything else? Pros and cons of it?

Where are the locations for the Clinicals if I Live in Brownsville, TX?

Im confused, I was told it would be several locations within a 60 mil radius of where I live...

Can anyone give me some insight on this?

I've heard about Knapp Medical Center but I'm not sure since I know it could be several locations & not just one specific hospital/Medical center? Will this place cover all for all my Clinicals placements?

Does anyone know if for Accelerated Online Masters Program if UTRGV charges the additional fees that they normally charge? Such as the outrageous Intercollegiate Athletic Fee 345.60?

Hi guys! So I'm an international business major on my senior year atm. So far I've been using a macbook air when I'm on campus for lectures. At home I have my pc that does all the actual workload so tableau, excel, other programs, etc. But recently my macbook broke (the screen started with a black line and now its just expanding) so i have to buy a new device for uni. Except for that one excel class (it was in the computer lab anyways) and tableau class (the tableau one was online so i just did it at home but i know people had to use it on their computers in class to follow along i believe), i haven't needed to use my macbook for anything other than having the powerpoints on hand, the textbook, or typing notes. I also don't have a lot of money so the ipad air with the pencil seems a good option for me but im just scared im gonna have one of those classes like the one i mentioned. Part of me relies on the fact that for 98% of my time at utrgv, i haven't needed to run a laptop program in lecture and could have just breezed through with an ipad. But I'm also just scared that some random class i have left is gonna smack me with that. Sooooooo I wanted to see if any business students think the ipad air is suitable or if you know of other courses that will need for me to bring in a laptop for sure to run a program or something. Sorry it was a little long! But thank you for reading and for any advice!

hey guys i am a first year student at utrgv this upcoming fall semester. the dorm assignments just came out today and i have been put on the “standby” list. i ensured i completed the dorm agreement as soon as possible and officially signed my contract sometime in march. this was something i was really looking forward to and i thought i took the correct steps to make sure i was able to secure a room. any advice on how to get off the standby list or any stories of something similar happening?
