Make Friends Here
Because we constantly get "How do i make friends" posts. If you want friends just post in this thread. I'm going to make it a sticky topic. I'm also going to give you 100% foolproof tips to make friends that have worked for me all my life 100% of the time.
Here is my foolproof plan that works 100% of the time. It is a 4 step process.
determine what your hobbies and interests are.
go to places where these hobbies and interests happen
interact with people.
If you don't have any hobbies or interests get interested in something and repeat steps 2-3.
It is literally that simple.
I am an extremely abrasive and unlikeable person. I have never failed to make friends using these steps. If I can do it so can you.

Former six month House of Representatives member Myra Flores hints at running for state legislature and "beyond"
Relevant information from her Facebook page:
Now, I'm officially announcing that I'm an even bigger nightmare. I'm no longer focused on just one district; I'm focused on the entire state of Texas and beyond.
We cannot lose the majority, and we cannot afford to lose the support of Hispanic Americans because of misinformation and propaganda. I'll be making an announcement in the next day or two, and I'll need your support.

News $1M - $2M of taxpayers money
There are more than 120+ Flock cameras in the RGV. Flock cameras have been used by Law enforcement to stalk and harass people even the officers in TX. These cameras have been found with footage pointing at homes and at CHILDREN'S playgrounds. These cameras have misidentified and mistakenly flagged innocent people as criminal suspects. Even at a 1% error rate from its 200 billion monthly scans would equal 2 billion misreads.
Flock requires 2-5 year contracts and new cameras also include installation fees meaning each is around 5,500$ with the price dropping down $3,250 after the first year.
Year 1 | $660,000
Year 2 | $390,000
$1.05 million
Year 1 | $660,000
Year 2 | $390,000
Year 3 | $390,000
Year 4 | $390,000
Year 5 | $390,000
$2.22 million
These cameras have been shown to ping your license plates and even your phone! Your every move is being tracked. These cameras are vulnerable to being hacked and can be accessed by anyone they are public records !! It's a public record under the TX public information act.
Rent/bills shooting up. Elected officials promising new power plants and economic benefits to excuse raising your bills then receiving more than 1M$ of your $$$ for the people to not get anything. As long as we're all collectively fine with it then... Let me just go back to NO POS WOW. It's all a joke till it ain't.

Spectrum vs t-Mobile
I currently have T-mobile and have had to reset my router 11 times, and it’s still not working. I’m looking for something else that’s reliable, doesn’t buffer during streaming, and allows me to play video games. What do yall have? T-mobile for me sucks and I’ve talked to 3 support agents with no actual resolution.

McAllen gets $6M grant to spur industrialization
myrgv.com$6 million and nothing changes.
Just once I would like to see a donation of that size DO SOMETHING. Fully stock the food banks. Build a homeless shelter. Set up real city wide WiFi. Something that benefits the citizens and not a handful of politicians and companies.

How long are previews at AMC Edinburg for The Odyssey
Hi all,
Will be heading out to the AMC 18 in Edinburg to watch the Odyssey tonight in their IMAX format (I know I know this is not the real 70mm IMAX showing) but wanted to ask for any of you who have already seen it, how long are the previews?
Usually previews always run for like 25-30mins at AMC so would like to show up later than the advertised time, but have heard some people say that showings have been pretty short on the IMAX screenings.

News Why do the idiots working at TXDOT think that the best time to start construction on the Expressway 83 in McAllen is a Monday morning?
They've done this bullshit for two Mondays in a row now. Wouldn't it be smarter to do this early Sunday mornings or on weekends late at night? They should pay their workers enough so that it's worth their while to work odd hours, so that the general public doesn't have to put up with a 20 to 30 minute added time on their commute because of this bullshit, on a work day, no less.
