This barrier is just so cool and so unique, like usually barriers are in domes or in physical shapes.
Like honestly i just love its design overall, i love how it can be formed to look like a slime

I’ll go first:
Orrins barrier is smashed by John (after he pummels Liam and Sera destroys Candice) and the chapter ends.

I think there's something so deeply disturbing about Keon's behavior, especially when you consider the context of his ability. He can look into the eyes and memories of anyone he touches, experiencing the world from their perspective. He sees their mistakes, their successes, their hopes, and their dreams. He has the ability to fully understand a person because he literally sees the world through their eyes.
And yet, after witnessing that level of humanity in these children, he still has no hesitation about hurting them until they're completely broken. That's what I find so mind-boggling. He can see everything about John, every experience that shaped him into who he is, and he feels absolutely nothing. No empathy. Not even pity. He destroys the poor boy's spirit with such ease, as if he never witnessed everything that made John who he is in the first place.
What makes it even more disturbing is that most abusers justify their actions by dehumanizing the people they hurt. They convince themselves their victims are somehow less than human, less deserving of empathy, dignity, or basic rights. It's a delusion rooted in a belief that they are inherently superior.
Keon shouldn't be capable of that. He can literally see someone's memories and experience the world through their eyes. He understands their fears, regrets, hopes, and dreams in a way no one else can. That kind of intimate understanding should make it nearly impossible to strip someone of their humanity.
And yet, he still does.

I couldn't think of a character I didn't like that everyone else did. I don't have a lot of unpopular opinions with this story :p

I'll go first. Someone in the comments of the previous season finale commented about how Janes' doctor, Dr. Calista is Claire's mom.
Also remember when everytime someone saw red-headed people like Keon / Blyke / Kassandra they'd start talking about them being related.

What Are the Chances That John Levels Up During This Fight?
I’ve been thinking about Orrin’s barrier, and honestly, it seems incredibly difficult to break. With two defenders, a healer, and that woman who appears to be boosting everyone’s stats, it feels almost impossible to get through.
At the moment, John has access to 12 Power thanks to Cassandra’s ability, along with 5 Power from Liam’s ability. Even so, this barrier has already withstood dozens of coordinated attacks from John, Seraphina, and Kass. That really makes me wonder: how is John supposed to break it?
Could it simply be a matter of landing enough consecutive attacks until the barrier finally gives way? Or is there a chance that John will level up during this battle?
If he does evolve, perhaps he’ll become capable of enhancing his two highest stats instead of just his single highest stat. That would allow him to attack with 12 Power, reinforced by 7.5 Defense, while also wielding 7.5 Ice with 9 Defense. In that scenario, his level could potentially rise to 7.8 or even 8.0.
I know this is extremely unlikely, but there’s one reason I haven’t completely ruled it out. Uru didn’t reveal John’s stats when Arlo leveled up, which leaves some room for speculation. It’s definitely a long shot, but I don’t think it’s entirely impossible.

John currently has a pretty decent hold on his ability, and seems to be able to control it fairly decently. The main drawbacks are prolonged usage, weakness to artificial abilities, and the need to be near the aura in the first place. Assuming midoriya would have something similar to an aura, would john be able to copy that and use it.

I'm just wondering, since I'm reading the later parts of the series. I'll mark this as a spoiler, since we only find out his ability a smidgen through the series, not right at the start.
I'm on episode 156, end it's occuring to me that when john copied someone else's aura, it allowed him to also increase output with it. But he's able to use it fluently right off the bat, even with abilities he's never seen before. Like with Isen and Blyke's, it made sense that he could figure it out, since he's been around them for a while, but even with brand new abilities, he's able to use them right off the bat. There's not trial and error period. Is this also part of his abilities, or is this just one thing he can do himself. He's a smart person, so I get that it wouldn't be a long trial and error period, but it appears there's never one to begin with.

I think the main characters—except for John and Seraphina, and to a lesser extent Arlo—are very weak compared to their direct opponents. I mean, a level of 5.8 is nothing if your brother’s killer is level 7.5. Any level above 7.0 for Remi would be an exaggeration on Uru’s part, and I don’t think the audience would respond positively to it. What do you think? What do you think Blake’s, Isen’s, and Remi’s levels will be by the end of this story?

It seems there is a misunderstanding among many readers regarding Jane, specifically whether she can copy mental abilities such as Orrin’s ability.
I believe this confusion comes from comparing Jane to her son, John. John definitely cannot copy time manipulation, and he is most likely unable to copy Orrin’s or Sylvia’s abilities either. However, the reason is the complexity of those abilities, not because they are non-physical.
There are indeed non-physical mental abilities, such as Claire’s ability. However, Claire’s ability is entirely internal and does not directly affect the physical world. She does not inject her aura into other people, unlike Orrin or Sylvia, whose abilities have a physical effect on others. Their aura extends from their own bodies into the bodies of others, meaning their abilities have a physical aspect, even if they do not cause direct physical damage.
If Jane had the same limitations as John, containing her and her family would have been relatively easy. Therefore, Jane can almost certainly copy any ability that has an effect on other people.
As for the woman with Cameron, her ability is also completely internal, similar to Claire’s case, and it is very different from Orrin’s or Sylvia’s abilities.

So I think we can all agree that when it comes to Ability levels, they operate on a sorta-kinda exponential/logarithmic scale, so the gap between a 6.5 and a 7.5 is much greater than the gap between a 4.5 and a 5.5.
But does that same logic apply to the stats on the Ability chart? So for example, let's take two generic speed-enhancing abilities. If Ability A's speed is at a 5, and Ability B's speed is at a 6, would it just be a flat increase in speed or would the gap get increasingly larger if Ability B's speed increased to a 7?
To visualize:
Ability A can travel 20 m/s with a speed of 5.
Ability B can travel 25 m/s with a speed of 6.
Ability B' can travel 30 m/s with a speed of 7.
(Linear)
Or
Ability A can travel 20 m/s with a speed of 5.
Ability B can travel 27 m/s with a speed of 6.
Ability B' can travel 40 m/s with a speed of 7.
(Exponential/Logarithmic)*
*The difference between the times probably isn't accurate to an exponential or logarithmic scale, but I don't think UnO's ability levels exactly follow them perfectly either.
(Edited to fix some calculation issues. Thanks to u/M-Shadowtoad for pointing it out.)

Now I finally understand why Spectre was so lenient with Orrin, and why he was considered such an exceptionally dangerous figure.
Yes, Orrin is powerful and dangerous on his own, but with his followers backing him, he’s genuinely terrifying.
He has at least five high-ranking subordinates, all of whom possess Claw abilities, with Liam being one of them. On top of that, he commands a large number of elite operatives with Claw abilities around level 3.8, along with several snipers whose exact levels are unknown.
Their defensive capabilities are especially impressive. The fact that they were able to withstand simultaneous attacks from John, Sera, and Kassandra without their formation collapsing is incredible. I believe their main tank is at least above level 6.0. His secretary also seems to possess an ability that enhances her allies’ stats, and they clearly have a powerful healer capable of constantly restoring aura, who is almost certainly above level 5.0.
Then there’s Orrin himself, who can control an 8.0-level individual as long as the necessary conditions are met.
The only real weakness of this team is the lack of a true offensive powerhouse. Their abilities provide amazing flexibility, durability, and recovery, but they don’t seem to have a particularly fast or overwhelmingly powerful attacker capable of breaking through top-tier defenses.
Even so, my current estimate is that Orrin’s forces consist of:
1 person above level 7.0 (Orrin himself)
3 people above level 6.0
5 people above level 5.0
More than 20 elites between levels 3.5 and 4.9
That’s why I believe Orrin is the strongest member of Spectre—not because he’s individually the strongest fighter, but because he commands the strongest team in the entire organization.

The song describes someone being in love, but also extremely guilty about having hurt the person they love. These lyrics especially caught my ear:
''I was a liar, I was not worthy of being trusted. I was a mugger, mugged my closest people stole their hearts and
Now I know that's why I am alone.
Hey little stranger thank God you're finally home.''

The battle has continued for 8 chapters, and it doesn’t look like it will end in the next one either.
In the current situation, Orrin is the only one who can rest and recover his aura while everyone else continues to be drained. Arlo is exhausted, and Serafina is in the same condition. John is in a better state, but the nature of his ability makes prolonged battles especially difficult for him.
Yes, Candice and Liam’s situation has been dealt with, but Orrin’s defenses are still incredibly strong. Serafina is still unable to attack those defenses because of the risk of falling under his control once again.
That is why I believe John will be the one to break through Orrin’s defenses, with Cassandra’s help. I expect John will absorb the energy from Liam and the others, allowing him to heal himself and Serafina, restoring her aura. Then, at full power, he will strike Orrin’s defenses using the abilities of Cassandra and Liam.
After those defenses finally collapse following a long and painful struggle, Serafina’s foot will be the last thing Orrin sees before he loses consciousness. Meanwhile, John and Cassandra will deal with the remaining enemies.
After that, another battle will begin over who will take Orrin. And of course, it will come down to John and Serafina.
And with that, the battle will finally come to an end.

I was thinking, how’d Farrah erase Arlo’s memories without looking at them? Or did she? Cause if she looked at his memories, she would know Kass knows about EMBER, and that Kass is AGAINST it too. And there didn’t seem to be any indication they knew about Kass. So that implies she erased his memories without looking in to them somehow… but how would that work? Would she have some key words, like “John” “Rei” “EMBER”, that just completely get erased from his mind? How would she know she erased everything that turned Arlo?

Guys... what do we think happened to the officers the trio took the uniforms from during the raid?? Did they legit just leave them in their underwear?? Did they wake up during the raid naked? Or after? Did a student come across them the next day at school?!? Did their cohorts find them and get them a change of clothes!? Do they still have a job or were they fired for incompetence or arrested for public indecency!?!?!
Thank you for coming to my Uru Talk. 🙂
