Uber's so lowdown man.. I understand making money but you dont have to be a greedy nasty jerk while at it.

Yesterday Uber started randomly adding rides to me. A lot of them. I am not signed up for auto accept. So there was this ride that had been populating for some time. I kept rejecting it. It had a destination drop-off that was 37 miles out. The pay was around $20.00. No way im accepting that.

I kept declining the ride. I ended up accepting another ride. When I dropped off the rider I saw Uber had auto added a ride. I went to get the rider and the rider rushed to my car. He had been in the hot sun waiting for some time. As soon as I hit accept it showed his drop off was 37 miles out.

It was the same ride him had been declining all morning.

I had to cancel him and refuse to board him. I apologized to him.

And there was another ride. Destination 18 miles out. Paying $8.76.

Uber auto added that one too. I had to decline that one as well when the customer was rushing into the car.

And by the way Dallas temperatures were 107 degrees yesterday and these folk were hot. Tired.

Its so wrong to auto add rides that have such long distances and poor pay.

What are some small things that bother you that passengers do that they may not realize?

Hello drivers, just wondering, as the title says. I recently learned from this subreddit that it bothers some drivers if you talk on the phone, so I've stopped doing that. What else do you wish passengers knew was annoying?

Offers can't get any worse - 1% AR

It is genuinely getting worse and worse with every week passing by, now literally I couldn't accept a single offer over 2 days of driving due to how horribly unfair and bad those pays are....

Ironically they even dare to speak publicly about their "fair" fare breakdowns... bruh, those empty talks don't even explain why they want us to work for $18/hr before taxes lol

How to block an uber driver from coming again.

I’m in egypt and i got into an uber comfort and we had very small convo. When the ride finished he asked for my number i told him i’m underage. He told me that it was fine and he doesn’t mind. I kept refusing and he kept insisting and so i gave him a false number. Can i guarantee that he doesn’t drive me again? i reposted safety issue and gave a 2 star review.

This is What Happens when Uber Gets Greedy.

Drivers have to drive longer hours. That equal to means they have less time to take care of their necessities such as, SLEEP, Food, exercise. Uber needs to understand that, instead cheapskating of paying drivers. Its going to cost them money in the long run, when a passenger get hurt and file a lawsuit against them. PAY THE DRIVERS BETTER UBER!!!

I know she didn't do that......

So I drive part time to supplement my income and I often get airport trips right after work due to the proximity to the airport . So a few days ago I got a fare to the airport for a family and arrived at their home to pick them up. The mother was outside waiting when I arrived and preceded to get in the rear passenger seat. I was watching for the rest of the riders and out of my peripheral I saw the mom doing a quick line of a powdered substance off her wrist (IN MY VEHICLE!!!) before her family got in the car.. I was speechless and didn't want to cause a scene in front of her kids. She acted like nothing happened and she immediately perked up when the kids arrived. Literally speechless.... Please tell me I'm not the only one who has experienced this...

Adding stops for no additional pay

I know this may have been discussed before but I have to ask about what happened.

I am a new driver , yesterday I accepted a ride for a certain amount, soon as I matched I got a notification "Rider modified the trip"

I looked at the destination and the trip timeline briefly and I see no change, I look and I see no additional stops as well, but after I pick them up I see "heading to first stop"

I don't mind because it's a brief stop on the way, but why I got not even 1 cent increase in payment for having to change my course and delay anyway?

Is that even allowed or does Uber hide it until we accept?

Ok so uber have released cmt to uber eats in Chicago and im slightly confused about this. Is this to lower uber commercial insurance or something? And uber claim it will give me better "Quest rewards" and up my rank which i know is damn lie because my quest still looks the same so as my ratings.

With World Cup being officially over I just want to say I hope we get another world cup in the US in my lifetime.

Not just for the money but the people, the different cultures, but still we as humans are much closer than we think.

But this is a Uber reddit and as such I will show my uber earnings which were insane.

Normally I average around 26/hr, but this world cup average was about 44/hr.

Color but no bonus amount at airport now

Uber gets worse by the day. Now they show the airport purple, but do not show a surge amount. When you see this, if you are new, what it means is the offers are so low that nobody will accept the trips, so they are trying to get more people there to find the ants that will take the low fares. Unless it shows a real dollar surge, even if the offer says it's a surge, it's a normal offer minus about $3. We have tolls everywhere in my market that we have to pay to get back. If we didn't come back, there would never be enough drivers, so we have to take good fares. Don't be an ant.

Fare Chart Breakdown

Post image

So question - I don't drive for Uber a lot, sometimes PT in my free time. I drove 24hrs last week to try out some of the feature changes.

I got this message in my inbox today about 'fare breakdown transparency' - how do I get a "your earnings" portion around 65-70% like their graphic shows? 😅

METRO DETROIT UBER DRIVERS...

Has anyone else experienced a drastic decrease in pay and decent trips within the last couple weeks. Previously I was making an average of $30 an hour and close to $1 a mile. I mainly focused on downriver. This last week's been rough, last week I averaged $26 an hour (including tips) but sat for 30 minutes+ between requests sometimes. This week I'm not even averaging $20 an hour (mind you I'm including tips) and all the requests have been garbage short rides or high miles low pay.

I just want to know if I'm alone in this.

Please upvote so it gets to the right people.

So I was paid incorrectly for a delivery due to a glitch, and it seems to be impossible to get support to fix it

I was offered a trip that paid $10.07 for 22 minutes for a single delivery. I accepted it, picked up the item, and then a second item that I never accepted came up. It wasn't ready, and they did not have a time estimate for when it would be ready. I cancelled it because I had no idea where it was going, how long it would take, or how much it paid, etc. I contacted support to remove the cancellation hit, and they would not help, as is typical for Uber.

I went ahead and completed the original delivery, and I was paid $2.86 for what ended up being 26 minutes. I contacted support again, and they insist that I've been paid correctly. I have screenshots to prove what happened, and they won't budge. I've repeatedly interacted with support, and they just continue to loop around, telling me that there is no issue and that I've been paid properly, and they're saying they have no power to correctly pay me even if I have been paid incorrectly. I've now contacted them on twitter. So, we'll see if that goes anywhere.

I realize that Uber is Uber, but has anyone else successfully navigated this sort of issue to receive proper payment? Or should I just collect all instances of this and take them to small claims court periodically or something, and would screenshots be sufficient for that, or what all would I need? I've opted out of their arbitration agreement so I can do that sort of thing when necessary. They do this a lot, which is why I now have screenshots of every single offer I receive.

Also, I signed up for their shop and deliver virtual card to look into those offers. They all seem to be crap; so I turned off shop and deliver orders, but they keep sending me shop and deliver offers. Any ideas on how to stop them from sending these offers? Maybe I can revert things somehow so that I'm no longer signed up for their card so I'm no longer eligible for shop and deliver offers?

Update: I got a response through x, same as through in-app support. They're insisting that I've been paid correctly. I'll probably just take them to small claims court periodically if this is a big enough issue with them and/or throw the info I gather onto the assumedly mountainous pile of evidence that goes into the class action lawsuits they're hit with periodically. It doesn't seem like it's likely that there will be any internal resolution to these sorts of issues.

Power In Numbers 💪

Been reading complaints on here about new Uber sneaky tactics daily to get Drivers to unknowingly accept trash rides for the last year just so I know what to look out for while I cheery pick my way to da max. Gotten so bad I now accept one ride out of the last 100 sent to me. So I pondered - if all Uber drivers in each market set a minimum requirement to accept rides and enforced it strictly, Uber will have no choice but to send out much more favorable rides. Since COVID, fares have gotten gradually worse cos Uber knows no matter how bad the rates they set are, someone somewhere will accept them. There IS Power in United Numbers.

So rather than complain here, why don’t each Uber market set up one WhatsUp Group or Telegram Group and agree to set the minimum requirement for that specific market and add all drivers in that market to that Group and hold each other accountable. If Uber algorithm sees no one is accepting those trash rides in that market, Uber will start taking drivers more seriously.

Now “who will bell the cat” in their market?

Would you have accepted this trip?

The only reason I accepted this really is because I missed the morning rush and I also have an EV with access to free charging. Otherwise I would have never done this ride. Certainly not with an ICE vehicle. They did end up tipping me $20 so the entire fare was like $78.

Kia EV9 Wind trim

I was considering purchasing one of these with the second row bench seat. I'm curious if anybody else might have one and what ride tears are they eligible for in your market? I would especially like to know if they get picked up for XL in Las Vegas as I am getting contradicting information.

Before you say check the vehicle eligibility list, please realize that I have but that contradicting information is that it is based on trim and the eligibility list does not. Does not go that deep nor does it actually correlate with their database of VIN numbers.

Thank you everyone. I appreciate it greatly! And keep on cherrypicking
