β π«βββ Discussion How to become a conducter?
I am interested in this job after 2 year college and High school, I know people will immediately go "don't work on the railroad, it sucks" I don't want to hear that.
anyways, what's the process like of becoming a conductor for a company like Metrolink in California?

β Question Battery Powered trains
I know there are a few battery-powered trains (and no, I'm not talking about the ones powered by a third rail or overhead power lines), but are there any battery-powered mainline locomotives (cargo or passenger)? I don't really see them that much, or at least they're not as popular compared to diesel, steam, or other forms of train power.

π¨ OC - Art Some Train Coloring Pages I made for Y'all
Here are some of my line art coloring pages that I made with the Canva line tool while I was bored. The first one is my favorite, as I have put many hours into it, as well as many hours into the real thing in Como, Colorado! 100% AI-free, I aint Richard Crabtree! (long story) If you want to see some colored versions, I'll comment them. Feel free to use these as much as you like but try to credit me if possible. Also check out my new-ish sub at r/Narrow_Gauge_Railroad
