Warhammer III Grapeshot should be available to all Empire and Dawi, and Vampire coast lords. Or at least to more than just Elspeth and Malakai.

Warhammer III Really loved this idea. I hope Lizardmen get cyclical buildings (Spawning pools) in a rework. It's thematically perfect for them! Maybe even have it affected by the Geomantic web?

Warhammer III Would be cool if the new Skaven end game crisis is about summoning the Great Horned Rat on the campaign map
Like as part of the Great Ascendancy the Skaven perform a lenghty ritual to gradually summon the Great Horned Rat. If completed it physically manifests and could be a Legendary Lord or, maybe even cooler, a visual effect on the campaign map granting powerful boni to Skaven factions.

Warhammer III I've seen this battle being waged so often on here lately, I think it's time CA considered making a SAGA game about it

Warhammer III DLC Unit Leak: The #1 Most Wanted Addition Has Been Found Spoiler
r/totalwar • u/Hollownerox • 9h ago
Warhammer III With characters being embedded into units in 40k, do you think named bodyguard units ala Regiments of Renown will be a thing? If so any group in particular you want to see?
Was just double checking the Ork Codexes again after the excitement of seeing Nazdreg and remembered that a lot of Ork characters have a unique group of boyz associated with them.
Ghaz has had a number of elite guards over the years. The ones on top being from his Codex Supplement in 6th edition.
Zagstruk has the Vulcha Squad as his personal crew of Stormboyz
Snikrot has his Red Skull Kommandos.
Grotsnik has a couple mentioned. The minderz above being guards Ghax gave him. But 9th edition Codex mentions he has custom monsters he made to be his own bodyguards called "Stichboyz."
I know RoRs were always a bit of a contentious addition to the Warhammer trilogy. Especially the implementation as instant recruit elites. But I thought with named/generic characters seemingly no longer being solo characters it would be fun to see them with their loreful bodyguards.
It would also be really fun in custom factions if you could also build your own Regiment of Renowns for your Warlord. Maybe if a unit rises to enough veterancy or accomplishes enough impressive feats you could "promote" them or something to be a unique group to bundle with your characters. But we'd have to see how extensive those custom factions are before theory crafting things like that I guess.
Anyways, any particular named gaggle of dudes you want to see in game? Be they actual tabletop formations or just a named group mentioned in a foot note.

Warhammer III Day 231 of ratposting until Thanquol dlc comes out
BONERIPPER WEEK
Now, the bone-ricap, following the wiki!
Boneripper 1, showed on day 2, defeated by Gotrek in Skavenslayer
Boneripper 2, shreked on day 3, defeated by Felix and that gyrocopter dwarf guy in Demonslayer
Boneripper 3, appeared in Dragonslayer, slained by Snorri
Boneripper 4, here I think the wiki is wrong cos I could swaer there was one on Beastslayer? Anyways, lets go with their count. Appears on Grey Seer, slained by Skrolk
Boneripper 5, right at the beginning of Temple of the Serpent, slained by Snikch
Boneripper 6, ninja Boneripper, showed up on day 4, Temple of the Serpent again, eaten by Thanquol
Boneripper 7, robot Boneripper, classic one, showed up on day 5, has only showed up in Thanquol's Doom. Got switched off by the grey seers right at the start of the End Times
Boneripper 8-12, in Elfslayer Thanquol states that Boneripper is his 13th, so that implies there were more in between, as joked on today's ratpost
Boneripper 13, the one from today, showed up on Elflslayer (theres a timeskip here, btw). Slained by Gotrek
Boneripper 14, the current one
Yes, Gotrek has only killed two Bonerippers! Thanquol and Felix are equalised, tho.
And that's it with Boneripper week! I know it has bombed very badly, but I dunno, I had fun doing it, and starting to learn how to use new tools.

Warhammer III Are the realms of chaos campaigns worth going back to?
I kinda miss getting to visit hell and use big stupid spells, but I’m not sure if this is just rose tinted glasses or something. would it be worth booting up that map and giving saving Ursun another go?

Warhammer 40k Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 - Alpha Strike Livestream: Ranged Combat
Hey!
On Thursday 23rd July at 3:30pm BST we have our first Alpha Strike stream for Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000, live on YouTube and Twitch.
As this Alpha Strike series is new for us, we first wanted to break down what you can expect to tune in and see.
The aim of these streams is to explore the depth of mechanics – and we’ll be focusing this time on Ranged Combat, the backbone of warfare in the 41st Millennium.
To start the stream, we’ll play through the entirety of the Astra Militarum vs Orks battle you’ve seen snippets of over the last few weeks. This will be played live to show you a full, unedited battle experience, with developers explaining what’s going on.
After the battle, we’re going to run through a series of discussions, each one highlighting a different aspect of Ranged Combat - from Cover to Strafing to Equipment (and more). Each discussion will be supported by a short clip to help demonstrate that mechanic while the developers chat through the details of how it works.
We’re expecting the stream to run for about an hour, and if you enjoy hearing all the nitty-gritty of Ranged Combat, let us know and we’ll look to run more Alpha Strikes in the future.

Rome II Replacing lower tier units?
I’m currently playing a campaign as the Arverni. I’m still fairly early, I’m at turn 50. I’ll soon get access to the mid-tier infantry and cavalry.
The thing is, I have low tier troops like levy freeman and Celtic warriors with gold chevrons. I can’t decide if I want to eventually replace them or keep them until they get killed off by chance.
