Attila Any Atilla mods to easily subjugate?
Hi all, weird question here, but does anyone know of or can make a cheat, or new feature to subjugate or to release your own cities?
Basically I was playing the Sassanids and has been greedily occupying every city that my allies, the Huns, razed down as they went West, while I keep on funding their army through my economy, and taking on any leftovers.
Then only after there are only 20 cities/settlements left, spread between 5 kingdoms on the map, did I check the objectives, turns out you would need certain amounts of subjugation to win as the Sassanids. (I only have 3 currently)
I would appreciate it if there are any mods that can let me win this playthrough of 80 hours, or if you know any workarounds.
So far I have tried the rebellion system which I cant seem to do as I already have 2 seperatists puppets, and the game would force me to occupy any other rebellion forces in the same name.
There are also bugs within my game where I also cant subjugate a kingdom with no fleet nor army left.
Its okay of there isnt, at least I can try to move on to a new playthrough.

Warhammer III Are the realms of chaos campaigns worth going back to?
I kinda miss getting to visit hell and use big stupid spells, but I’m not sure if this is just rose tinted glasses or something. would it be worth booting up that map and giving saving Ursun another go?

Warhammer III I've seen this battle being waged so often on here lately, I think it's time CA considered making a SAGA game about it

Warhammer III Missing certain units in game?
I recently bought the champions of chaos and thrones of decay dlc and now that I am looking at the WOC roster it looks like I’m missing certain units in custom battle and campaign? What’s the issue here? They are available for Nurgle proper. I am also unsure if the WOC recruitment mechanism so maybe I do have them in campaign but I am unsure.
Please help, Thanks!

Warhammer III Would be cool if the new Skaven end game crisis is about summoning the Great Horned Rat on the campaign map
Like as part of the Great Ascendancy the Skaven perform a lenghty ritual to gradually summon the Great Horned Rat. If completed it physically manifests and could be a Legendary Lord or, maybe even cooler, a visual effect on the campaign map granting powerful boni to Skaven factions.

Warhammer III Grapeshot should be available to all Empire and Dawi, and Vampire coast lords. Or at least to more than just Elspeth and Malakai.

Warhammer III Loads up L/VH Empire SFO expecting to be 'The Savior' again.
TL;DR: My modded campaign (SFO + some submods) has turned into a complete Ordertide gridlock (Human even) with even The Huntsmarshal's Expedition dominating Lustria.
Nevermind. I thought I played the start very well, had Wissenland and Solland within 10 turns, and was sending Elspeth to clean up the vampires... but by then, so were Averland AND Stirland. I managed to capture Castle Drakenhoff, but Zhufbar took SwartzheimSwartzhafen and Averland/Stirland took the rest of Sylvannia.
The rest of The Empire at this point was stabilized, so I went to the Border Princes lands (so did Averland) to fight Ogres and Rats over that territory. Must be something about AI bias against players because once I crossed Fort Stoll, Clan Angrund went from owning one minor settlement to taking their mountain range, confederating Clan Hirn(?) and then taking Miragliano. I did ask them very nicely to go after Skavenblight so I could take Tilea. It's fine (I tell myself). Border Princes also made a miraculous comeback from Myrmidens and recaptured part of Tilea... and so did the Knights De Lyonesse, which, after butting up with the Cult of Sigmar, turned north as I reached Tilea from killing the bulk of the Slaughterers.
While I was playing beatdown (read: getting nuked repeatedly by) Ikit Claw [how the fuck does AI Skyre get a Nuke EVERY battle? Don't they cost a boat load of stuff?/rantover], The Faye Enchantress who allied with the Wood Elves (which got demolished by Franz?) decided to play fuck around and find out... to which I took all of Estalia for it and now all borders are green and I am a middle power with dwarven super power allies that have already crushed the skaven on their borders.
I decided, instead of doing my normal bullshittery, to cause WH WWIII; It is turn 70 and I am now a pirate seeking treasure on the highseas. I will wait for my 200% ultimate endgame crisis to make things interesting again, or see what emerging bullshit happens. Maybe Cathay will butt up against the dwarves and drag me across the world.
Ordertide Ahoy!
Fucking Aside: I had to take a day break from this campaign too during the Faye Enchantress arc. I had Elspeth lined up in a mountain chokepoint battle; you guys know the one, it's like a river crossing but in the mountains with only two little passes to get through. Great for slaughtering massive amounts of Goblins, Orcs ,Skaven Bretonnian Peasants (sure?): Except, no, clear field into the choke point 600 rifles (fuck doing the math for how many exactly), and they stare as the knights walk across (being slowed by artillery fire) and clear half of the first handgunnder squad in the slowest cavalry charge in 2026. I refought the battle, corner camping on the hill in the corner, hoping to use the hill (which usually helps with LoS issues as in a steep enough hill you can stack your rifles), but nope, it just gave them a wooded flank to press through (because Halberdiers ain't gonna do shit against Grail Guardians). Was fun to watch the Hellstorms annihilate the 1500 peasant archers, but holy hell the LoS is just awful. I remember feeling this way in my last Chaos Dwarf campaign too.
(I ended up going back two turns and taking Skavenblight with my steam tanks and piecemealing Carcassonne's armies before relieving Estalia from the Faye Enchantress' possession.)

General Just watched The Odyssey, which Rome themed game should I buy?
So yeah, like many others, I liked The Odyssey and its got me in the mood to send Spartans into battle. I have only played the warhammer total war games and 3 kingdoms. Based on what I looked into, I think that Rome 2 seems the best for my personal tastes.
Im still curious though on what people think about Rome 1/remastered and Troy. What are your personal favorites? Why? Are there things that are not so good about the different titles in your opinion? Etc.
Edit: I honestly just like the setting of ancient Rome. I hadnt considered Pharoah so ill look into that one. And I see a lot of hate towards Troy which is why I asked about it. Many reviews I see dont seem to point out anything that is a deal breaker but I was curious if anyone had any insights. Thanks all!

Pharaoh Has anyone tried the "Old Dynasties – Troy Factions Restoration" submod for Pharaoh Total War Dynasties?
If so, how did you like it? Is it too buggy to be immersive or does it still deliver the magic of Troy Total war?

Rome II Replacing lower tier units?
I’m currently playing a campaign as the Arverni. I’m still fairly early, I’m at turn 50. I’ll soon get access to the mid-tier infantry and cavalry.
The thing is, I have low tier troops like levy freeman and Celtic warriors with gold chevrons. I can’t decide if I want to eventually replace them or keep them until they get killed off by chance.

Warhammer III Really loved this idea. I hope Lizardmen get cyclical buildings (Spawning pools) in a rework. It's thematically perfect for them! Maybe even have it affected by the Geomantic web?

Pharaoh I have a question
Is it normal to play the game politically without doing the war part like when i start playing and i get into fight i make the computer to do the job for me. Its not like i dont want to do the figh but its more like its hard. Should i maybe start by controlling in small fights ? How do i improve this or is it hard for you all as well ?

Warhammer III With characters being embedded into units in 40k, do you think named bodyguard units ala Regiments of Renown will be a thing? If so any group in particular you want to see?
Was just double checking the Ork Codexes again after the excitement of seeing Nazdreg and remembered that a lot of Ork characters have a unique group of boyz associated with them.
Ghaz has had a number of elite guards over the years. The ones on top being from his Codex Supplement in 6th edition.
Zagstruk has the Vulcha Squad as his personal crew of Stormboyz
Snikrot has his Red Skull Kommandos.
Grotsnik has a couple mentioned. The minderz above being guards Ghax gave him. But 9th edition Codex mentions he has custom monsters he made to be his own bodyguards called "Stichboyz."
I know RoRs were always a bit of a contentious addition to the Warhammer trilogy. Especially the implementation as instant recruit elites. But I thought with named/generic characters seemingly no longer being solo characters it would be fun to see them with their loreful bodyguards.
It would also be really fun in custom factions if you could also build your own Regiment of Renowns for your Warlord. Maybe if a unit rises to enough veterancy or accomplishes enough impressive feats you could "promote" them or something to be a unique group to bundle with your characters. But we'd have to see how extensive those custom factions are before theory crafting things like that I guess.
Anyways, any particular named gaggle of dudes you want to see in game? Be they actual tabletop formations or just a named group mentioned in a foot note.

Warhammer III Boris Todbringer dual start position
I really hope that Boris will have a dual starting position, with the usual dilemma to retain a starting position in Middenland + a second one somewhere else to add a different flavor to an empire campaign, otherwise starting in location too similar to Karl and Elspeth.
Hopefully if controlled by the AI it will start in Middenland to support the empire against evil forces.
What do you think?

General Help me decide on game
Hey, I'm rather new to the Total War. I played Rome about 10 years ago and for only few hours. I've checked my games library and I realized I've got a few titles there that I haven't tried before.
Shogun,
Medieval 2,
Rome 2,
Pharaoh,
Attila,
Three Kingdoms
Which one would you recommend for the beginner? I've seen good reviews on 3K but I'm worried I might be overwhelmed by the mechanics.
