Long time Thrice fan here. Went in for a one day surgery yesterday for a complete distal bicep tear.

As I lay on the operating table. I hear “Speaker on, speaker connected”, the surgeon asks me “What kind of music do you like? We want you to have your music playing while we operate”

“I’m like, What? Really?” Without hesitation I say “Ok put some Thrice. T-H-R-I-C-E”. No one (6 people) in the room knew the band although the age group was between 40-50). All I hear is the first notes of Hurricane, I smiled, one nurse said “Oh wow, that’s really good”. I smiled some more but the drugs started kicking in and took me out. Surgery lasted around 1 hour.

Now, I don’t know if that was just a fun and standard thing they do with their patients because I haven’t had a lot of surgeries but I thought it was pretty cool. I’m unsure if they kept the playlist running although, I really wonder what they thought and if the surgeon enjoyed operating while Silhouette or The Earth Will Shake played? Ah ah ah

I will definitely ask in my post-op appointment next week. Anyhow, hopefully, we have new Thrice fans as of yesterday!

I put up a post a couple days ago seeking out graphic designers in the community but I didn’t receive any responses. I’ll be exploring other avenues to hire someone to create the logo for me.

I wanted to get some feedback from the community here on a team name and concepts for the logo. So any soccer (football) fans please chime in and give me any recommendations!!

The current working team name is simply Thrice United. The inspiration came from the concept of playing in triangles…three sides to a triangle…Thrice. I am NOT committed to this name and would be open to other ideas.

It can straight up have Thrice in the name, or it can take inspiration from an album or song title, or reference to a lyric or theme.

SO….feel free to share any ideas you have for a Thrice-inspired soccer team name and any cool ideas you might have for a logo. Thanks in advance!! 🍻
