What is a comfortable amount of gold etc to go into a NG+?

• Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I recently completed my first run through of witcher 3 including all DLC, I have about 40k gold and the max level forgotten wolven gear.

I really want to start a NG+ save but I have seen different opinions on what gear and how much gold I should have to start.

I really didnt make much use out of the heart of stone runesmith dude on my first play through and want to do it this time.

Is 40k enough or should I try get more before moving to a new save?

Discussion Is there a reason why nothing changes when you assassinate Radovid? Spoiler

CD is very good at detail with even the smallest things, especially when it comes to player choices. So i find it odd that they wouldn't change anything after such a huge moment like this. Obviously we get it mentioned in the ending of the main quest but after no nilfgaard soldiers replacing Rodanian ones and everyone still acting as if Radovid is still alive. Plus Shani and Geralt even talk about him like he is still alive in hearts of stone.

Has this ever been explained or was this is a case of too many changes to make and didn't have the time to implement?

Help! Weird texture glitch ?

Hello. As the title says I've encountered this weird graphical glitch on the ground texture near Toussaint palace. So far this is the only place I've seen it happens and only with this texture in particular. Any clues as to what it might be ? Thanks in advance !

The fight takes place in the fields outside Novigrad. Both are at endgame power. Both are aware that they're fighting a powerful opponent. Who would win in a battle between these two?

Help! I need the help of this game's music specialists (screenshot by me just in case)

Post image

(I know the screenshot is from the Gwent game but I also heard the music when playing The Witcher 3, so I post on the most general sub)

So, I would really like to know the title of this song because I can't find it anywhere on streaming platforms where I have my personal playlist (like spotify or deezer).

It's the song that you unlock by completing Geralt's travel in the Gwent game (not the in-game Gwent). All I want is to know what the hell the official title is in the soundtrack, so I can add it to my playlist. I know there is a title right here in the screenshot but I didn't find anything using it (that could mean I'm stupid, but anyway).

Thanks in advance. Also, sorry for the approximate english, because I'm french. And if this is not the right sub/flair, then I apologize.

Help! Witcher 3 PC Stuttering Issue.

Hello Everyone, first time posting here and its with a problem i hope I can get help with.

So I've been playing witcher 3 on PC Dx12 version on maxed out graphics (including RT, Hairworks, DLSS, and Framegen) on myprevious pc build with no issues.

Previous PC Build:

Rtx 4080 Super

I5 13600KF

Msi 790 Tomahawk

4tb gen 4 m.2

32 gb 6400mhz cl36

Recently, around a month ago, I upgraded to some new components. For the first few weeks of playing the game it was super smooth, running the same exact settings and mods I had in my previous build. The last week or 2 i've been having stuttering issue after playing for around 15-30mins, note that there is no crash afterwards just stuttering. Its starts out as a microstutter ,as if it skips a pixel, every few seconds but with 20 seconds or so it every other pixel. I know my build isnt the issue as it runs most other higher end games flawlessly. Ill leave my new pc specs below with what i've tried so far.

New PC build:

RTX 5080 TUF OC

9850x3d

Asus X870E-E

4tb gen5 m.2

Corsair 32 gb 6000mhz CL 36

What I've tried so far:

-game fresh install/game files verified

-turning off DLSS and frame generation

-limit fps to 144hz on nvidea control panel

-change the power option for the GPU to max performance.

-increase the antialiesing ro x16

-set the shader cache to unlimited

-got memory leak fix ibi file from nexus mods.

-lowering ram speed to 4800mhz (default and turning of EXPO in the bios)

I would apprecaite any help from anyone whose had this issue previously as the game is currently unplayable for me.

Thanks to all ahead of time.

AYUDA SE ME BUGUE EL THE WICTHER 3/ HELP ME MY W3 IS BUGGED

Hi, I’m having a problem: I want to play *The Witcher 3* on my PS4, but it’s bugged. It won't let me load saved games, though the game works fine if I start a new one. The issue is that I can't skip dialogue, the game takes a long time to launch (over 5 minutes), and if I close the game, it won't let me load that new save file.

Just to clarify, I have the physical version of the game. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled it, and I’ve turned off the console and unplugged it for 30 seconds, but the error persists. This only happens with this game (more details are in the video and picture in the comments).

Another year, Another playthrough: The Witcher 3

This year I tried playing it differently: starting with Skellige, then Novigrad, and after HoS, the Velen portion. After that, I felt the urge to write again, and that was reflected in my gameplay. I stopped rushing across the map, quest after quest, and instead began to live the story, intentionally failing quests because I felt that wasn’t what the character would do in the books.

I haven’t finished the game yet, as I’m currently experiencing the ā€œretired witcherā€ lifestyle. Strolling calmly through Toussaint, slowly working through the content, and returning home at night rounds out the experience.

Normally, after finishing The Witcher trilogy, I’d start playing the Dragon Age trilogy. This year, there’s no need. The experience was great.

How people have been through all the choices this game gives is absolutely wild to me

I’ve played through base + hos and b&w and am on my second playthrough and am consistently astounded by how vast this game is, and how many choices have different outcomes, even later in the game. One thing I would love is like a fog of war type thing on the map that shows you where you haven’t been/explored.

That’s it. I love this game, and am so thankful to the community for added lore, quirks, secrets, tip and tricks on literally every aspect of this game that this sub provides.

XO

Discussion Would the Baron and his men "clean up their act" after the war?

Let's say the war is over and Temeria is no longer under occupation but is a vassal state of the glorious Nilfgaardian Empire. Would the Baron and his men clean up their act?

The Baron's men are mostly survivors of destroyed Temerian units, but they rape and pillage their own countrymen in Velen. We see a lot of brigands and deserters in Velen, some of whom used to be with the Baron but left. I'm specifically talking about the men still under his control, though.

It seems like his men are nothing more than brigands pretending to keep the peace. They extort the people and rape the daughters of Velen. I'm sure not all of them do, of course, but we hear quite a few conversations between them that paint a pretty ugly picture.

If Nilfgaard grants the Baron a title and he is recognized as the lord of the barony, would his men continue to mistreat the people forever? They don't have the arms to rebel, and I'm sure the people would be too exhausted from the war.

Also, what does it say about Temerian soldiers that so many of them would so easily rape and forcibly take from their own countrymen?

Very interesting to see how The Witcher 1 Remake will turn out with all its open world stuff, as it seems like a pretty different kind of remake from what we've gotten so far.
