I used to play sunday league and have been playing 7/5 a side on off for the last couple of years and just want to get back into shape and work on my touch again

So we have the name Ann e duke. Surname may have changed as this is from a document from the 60s. May no longer be with us. We are unsure on age but could be in 70s/80s

We know that she was a factory worker in 1962 and we have a road name but unsure if it is where she lives or not. She has family she’s never met that would really like to get in touch with her or any immediate family members.

Her last known location was in Surrey so I’m trying to see if anyone can help me find out!

I recall at one point (Before CeX) there was a GAME where Oseyo is now and there was one also kind of near the Warhammer shop, I think. Were they both GAME or was one called something else? Google doesn't seem to know.

Can anyone recommend decent training rooms somewhere in between Kingston & Staines areas?

I’m looking for somewhere suitable for a one-day classroom course

Main requirements:

• Parking on site, or easy on-street parking nearby
• Outside the main centre/commercial zones
• Room for up to 10 people
• Tables/chairs, screen/projector if possible
• Tea/coffee/lunch options would be a bonus, like an onsite cafe - doesn't have to be a buffet

Hotels/conference centres don't usually work for us because they want minimum numbers for buffets/day delegate rate. Elsewhere we use sports clubs, golf clubs, business centres etc.

I’ve found a few options online & have used a golf club in Sunbury before but it wasn't cheap and limited.

Local knowledge is usually much better than Google for this sort of thing.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Me and my partner are both currently a FTB looking to move out of our parents.

I currently work hybrid 2-3 days a week in Reading and my partner is in 5 days a week in South Godstone.

Where would be the best place to be looking that is relatively affordable/best value and would provide a fair and balanced commute for both of us e.g mine being a bit longer as I’m not in the office everyday.

Just wanted to share this for anyone around Walton, Weybridge, Hersham or Sunbury who usually travels to Hounslow or Southall for Indian groceries.

I visited Patel's Veg & More in Walton-on-Thames and was pleasantly surprised by the range they have. They’ve got fresh veg, spices, rice, atta, snacks(my fav section), frozen items and most of the things you’d normally go further out for. The prices are very similar to the shops in Hounslow, so once you consider the fuel and time saved, it makes a lot of sense to shop locally. I also got 10% off for my first 5 shops after I joined their membership.

I also had a chat with one of the owners while I was there. Really friendly person and you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they’re building, which is always nice to see from a local business.

Definitely worth giving them a try if you’re nearby.

I’m a 6th form student studying Global Politics and part of my course requires me to do a personal engagement activity to gather data for my research question. I have put flyers up around town (in Horley)that explain a little about what I’m doing and have a QR code to scan that will take you to a survey. Understandably people may be reluctant to scan a random QR code but I’m really in need of participants.

I know this subreddit has a strict no-politics rule, but I was hoping this could be considered an exception as this is for an academic research project rather than a political discussion.
My research question is: “To what extent does the UK’s asylum accommodation policy balance the rights of asylum seekers with the interests of local communities?”
My survey is NOT about protests, election candiates, opinions on political parties or the people who vote for them.

This survey is focused on human rights, public policy, and how government decisions are experienced at a community level. It is not meant to promote or criticise any political viewpoint, and it is not an invitation for hate, discrimination, or extremist views.

I’m posting here specifically because my research requires engagement with people from my local area rather than a nationwide sample. A politics-focused subreddit may reach a wider audience, but it would not necessarily reflect the perspectives of the community I am studying.

Hello. I live in Woking and I am still on the lookout for a good gym. I have been a member at PureGym and thegym in Woking but they are too busy, small and some equipment seems old and rusty. There is David Lloyd club in Woking but at the moment I don't want to pay for their membership fees. Any good gyms (ideally with a swimming pool but it's not a must) around the Woking, Bayfleet, Weybridge area?

We are currently looking to move into the Chantrys in Farnham. Does anyone know what the area is like or have any experience there?

there seems to be a bit of a shortage around Surrey and London of groups where girls who are passionate about football can chat and hang out/do football related activities on a casual level. personally I’ve attended female based football clubs and groups but some felt a bit forced.

I’ve start a group chat where we can engage with each other about teams, mutual interests and just love of the sport really (among other things!) hopefully some meet ups will come of it too🤓

Hi All! Looking for some places to live advice. My partner and I currently (26/28) live in Surbiton and are looking to buying our first home with the LISA cap. We're looking in West Byfleet and Woking currently and wanted to know if there's anywhere else anyone would recommend that you get a reasonable house for the money. Also, anywhere to avoid. We need a station within walking distance of the house with early and late trains to Waterloo. We saw a house we liked in Byfleet but the area felt too quiet. Thank you!

So I was by the cricketers pub in Epsom the other week - lovely little spot with the pond, the green and entrance to Epsom Common. All of a sudden this teenager on an electric dirt bike pulled up with a full face balaclava - keep in mind it was a balmy summers evening.

What on earth is this about? I don’t understand why kids who live in such a nice area are cosplaying as London UK Drill gang members, it was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen. Is this a common occurrence in Epsom ?
