11 x 175 for press. Two rep pr which is nice

I am very ass at squat patterns and hit 510 on Hatfield. Needed to find a training max and figured why not do it after pressing! I'm a shameless fraud and will be telling my non lifter friends and family that I squat in the 500s now

Form Check Deadlift stuck at 150 kg despite a 170 kg squat and 120 kg bench!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm a 21-year-old male, 170 cm (5'7") and around 83 kg.

Current lifts:

  • Bench: 120 kg
  • Squat: 170 kg
  • Deadlift: 150 kg (conventional)

My deadlift is noticeably behind my other lifts, which is why I'm looking for feedback. I've been stuck at 150 kg for quite a while. I've pulled it multiple times, both cleanly and with some grind, but I cannot get 160 kg off the floor, not even an inch.

This video is from yesterday and is probably the best example because it's recent. It's not my cleanest rep, but it's representative of how I pull near my max.

I'd appreciate feedback on:

  • Setup
  • Starting position
  • Bar path
  • Bracing
  • Hip position
  • Lockout
  • Any obvious technical errors
  • Whether this looks like a technique issue, a programming issue, or simply a lack of deadlift-specific practice

For context, I haven't trained deadlifts consistently over the past year. I stopped prioritizing them because I wasn't making progress and they were very fatiguing. I've recently started training them again, so inconsistent practice is definitely part of the picture.

I pull conventional, use a belt, and don't use straps. I've tried straps before and they help a little, but I prefer not to rely on them unless they're absolutely necessary.

One thing I notice is that my hips seem to rise before my chest, but I'm not sure whether that's the main issue or just a symptom of something else. I'm looking for honest criticism and suggestions on what to fix.

For sometime now I feel my abs engaging no matter what muscle group im working. In my experience it's due to the level of focus, intensity and overall muscle development. I don't do many targeted abs/core exercises during my weekly workout out schedule

82kg bodyweight with 50kg extra (132kg total). I’m not happy with the video so I’ll redo it with a wider shot to show the full dead hang and chin over the bar. Tips and form checks welcome!

A 20kg PR that had me elated. Been running a very simple double progression program over the last few months and have been getting very solid results. The program goes as follows for those who might be interested:

I aim to make every exercise 3x10 adding an extra rep whenever I can. When i hit that 3x10 I just increase the weight by either 2.5 or 5kg

Monday

  • HB ATG squats 120kg
  • Flat bench 105kg
  • Weigthed chin ups 25kg (personal best is 50kg)

    Wednesday

  • Conventional deadlift 150kg

  • OHP 70kg

  • Rear delt flyes 65kg

  • Bicep curls 30kg + the bar

    Friday

  • Hack squat 120kg + the machine (3 plates a side)

  • Incline dbell press 40kg

  • Chest to bar pull ups

Each workout takes me close to an hour. I work part time and study full time so my time is very limited, i've found that this set up works very well for me.

I work at a factory and they give a shit ton of very healthy food so im able to eat as much as i want for lunch. I also take 5g/day of creatine which definetely helps a lot.

Im not a strength trainer in the traditional strength. Im a rock climber so I do not know if Im even allowed in here lol. This is a beastmaker 2000 for the people who dont know. Its a tool we use to train finger strength so thats why it looks a bit funky. Im incredibly happy abt this😁 its not the cleanest one but I will work towards cleaner pulls

All time rep PR of 4 at 480lbs.
I had to reset my 5/3/1 training maxes for deadlift and overhead press after grinding out too many top end singles when I should’ve been doing triples. My target was to get 4 reps on this top set of DL and it felt good; listening to some Lamb of God “Redneck” here…fun times! I love DL and Heavy Metal 🤘
